Oh i just realized this is really old
I just found this while surfing the google. I'm suffering from the same aliment too except much worse. Loss of appetite, feeling as though i have not drank a drop of water even though i drank 2 glasses just minutes ago. Constant bowel urges, loose motion, loud rumbling noises from my stomach, abdominal pain, constant burping and farting. I went to the hospital but they said it was because of the freezing temperature so started keeping my body warm by wearing 2 coats, thick woolen socks and gloves when outside. I even use 4 thick blankets when sleeping..............still no changes. I can't even sleep properly and unable to focus on my winter course.
Hi everyone, I know that this discussion is over a year ago no but I literally can't believe how many people are suffering from this. I thought it was just me! Ive had the same problems for over 2 years now. Its really strange because I was having hardly any problems for ages and then all of a sudden the noises have started again.... I really don't think that the doctors take this serious enough, it seems like so many people suffer from it. A while ago I was considering quitting college because of this. It literally affects EVERYTHING, from socialising to school work. I just have to try and manage it. Has anyone found anything that helps?
To everyone.....stop eating dairy and wheat....I am 60 and had to stop eating wheat about 4 years ago..horrible stomach trouble. And arthritus symptoms...all gone in 72 hours....I am not celiac..there is no test to help me...figured it out on my own.....doctors "practice" medicine....
I can't believe how many other people have this embarrassing condition. I really thought I was the only one. The popping, farting and vibrating noises have been plaguing me since 2001. People who sit next to me squirm in their chair or cough. I know people are disgusted or find it hilarious. It's so humiliating. What do you guys do when people laugh at you?
Going to the movies, eating out or simply sitting next to someone on transportation is a nightmare. I tried eliminating gluten, sugar, carbs and I've tried all sorts of natural remedies but nada. Sometimes I think the only cure would be to move to a desert island. Because I really think this is psychological. Do you guys also suffer from this when you're home alone, in your bed/on your couch? I don't, which shows that it's something that my mind/anxiety is causing.

I have the same exact problem, i have had it for about 3 years now. I have ibs and doctors have only said more fiber and exercise. The only thing that i remember working is when i was on a laxative taken 1 capful every night with alot of water.
I had similar problems and tried peppermint oil capsules. The symptoms went away after a few days!
could they be due to lack of workout ? Maybe good exercise could help deal with it. Make sure your breakfast is heavy and dinner is light, try to stop eating midnight snacks. Running/jogging might help. Also remember to stay hydrated, drink lots and lots of water.
I have been having this problem too, but when i am walking or running it just disappears. It only happens to be while i am sitting. These are some of the tips that helped me, i hope they are helpful for you too.

I am 66 years old and have had the IBS for years. It gets better & then gets worse. I have to tell all of you that your gut is the problem. Especially the people that have been on antibiotics. These destroy all of your good bacteria and actually cause a fermenting problem. I have had all the tests and still have IBS. You must get you some good probiotics and by good I mean the ones that don't have to be put in the refrigerator and will keep them potency with out dying in the heat. Trust me it gets better but it never goes away. I also contribute stress to flare ups.
Now, how to control stress if beyond me. Good Luck everyone get some GOOD probiotics. Do your research on the net.

Hii, I have been through discomfort on bowel, loss of appetite in winter, but yeah I found out that most of this was due to low body temperature. So I started doing exercise not too intense ones but simple ones and then for a while this whole thing turned to get worse, by worse i mean I had more frequent bowel urges atleast 2 times a day for the first half of winter (1 weekish~), then i finally ended. Now, I have normal bowel movements only once or twice if I ate something after my lunch or dinner. The point is, it all started when the surrounding temperature dropped and that affected my body, but not alone that I had to atleast spend 30mins a day to work out and sweat!
Hope this helps
