Last year I was severely injured in a car accident. I couldn't stand how the hard meds made me feel, so I dealt with the brunt of the crippling pain, and only took frequent Ibuprofen of Naproxen pills. They tore up my stomach and ever since I've had problems. I get this loud rumbling in the lower part of my body. It sounds like loud gas, which is awful since I work in a quit office. There's also a lot of discomfort and some pain. It happens randomly. I could drink tea, or eat oatmeal and it will happen one day, but not the next. I ate an apple with peanut butter the other day, and dealt with the discomfort for over 5 hours! From one apple! The next day, an apple had no harmful affect. I also noticed it only seems to happen mid-day.A possible treatment (not prevention): One day that I started suffering from these terrible noises and pain, I made a quick lunch break to 7-11. I made myself a peppermint tea and bought bananas. 20 minutes after consuming, the noise drastically reduced and eventually went away. Yesterday I simply ate an avocado for lunch, and since I had no problems I tried eating avocado and strawberries today. But alas, my lower and upper insides started bubbling. But I was prepared! I had brought a jug of water with a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar and honey with me. I started drinking it as soon as I felt the first sign of that gas feeling, and it didn't get any worse, and it went away all together within about an hour. Bananas, peppermint tea, Apple Cider Vinegar. It may not be a solution but it may help in emergencies :)

I did not read all posts, so I don't know if anyone has tried charcoal.I bought it yesterday and tried a teaspoon after lunch and supper, and this morning. Wow, it worked. No sounds coming from my tommy nor having gas.I bought at Londodn drug phamacy, it's called "activated charcoal" powder form around $11.00. It's black...mix with water, not nice but no taste and it doesn't harm you at all.

Just adding to my post...taking charcoal. Your poop will be black, of course. But, I had no sounds (gas)with bowel movement for the first time in long time. No bloating, no urge to pass gas, no poping & squeaking & gurgling sounds all day for two days now. I don't want to take it the rest of my life, but I do know that I have cure...even temporary. Worth a try !
Sounds to me like irritable bowel syndrome aka IBS it is very annoying I have had it for years and it gets worse when you are constipated you could be on the toilet for hours good luck
Minocycline can caused heightened anxiety, and it has numerous negative side effects. I speak from direct experience. It was prescribed to me a number of years ago and it caused massive damage to my health. Damaged my eyesight, traumatized me, and caused numerous ongoing symptoms including allergies, digestive issues, etc. According to the wikipedia entry on it - it sounds like they have since recognized that it has some serious issues, particularly for women and children. It can cause autoimmune diseases and affects the central nervous system, though they don't understand how or why. I suggest you ask your doctor if a more suitable, safer antibiotic is available as an alternative. .

Sitting in one place, Stress, Late night sleep.
Treatment: My doctor says medicine will not cure you 100%, only we can cure it by full diet, take fruits, high fiber foods, Exercise, Dont get tension, Yoga and Meditation - These is powerful.
Another thing take spinach such even day and important take thuthvaali spinach one a week. The thuthuvaali is the king of spinach. It good all part of our boody.
Another thing take Ayurveda or Sidha (Indian Medicine- The sidha cures by food is medicine)

I have been struggling with the same problem for 2 years. I have tried out many diet changes. Gluten-free has worked for me. I am not 100% cured, but the rumbling reduced and the stools are well formed. But there is gluten or wheat in almost everything in India and its hard to continue the gluten free diet.
Since you were taking antibiotics, insist your doctor gives you a test for C-diff....don't let him/her talk you out of it it is non invasive you just take some of you bowel movement in for a culture.
