I have been experiencing this for awhile aswell. I was wondering if anyone else here was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis?

I always thought I was having bladder infections growing up but now I know it was my IC that caused my pain, frequency, and urgency. I've also always had a small trace of blood in my urine since I was born.

I hope this helps someone.

God bless.

I don't seem to have uretha spasms, but when I do immediately have the urge to urinate, I get intense aching of my forearms, eases off after few seconds. My Doctor seems not to know what I'm talking about, very hard to describe the feeling when on normal Doctors appointment

Boy, I thought I was the only one with this problem. Like all others, my doctor can't give me an answer of whats causing it. He just says he has never heard of anything like it. My pain is very bad sometimes, from my shoulders to the tips of my fingers and mostly at night. It keeps me from sleeping most of the time.

I to have pain in hands when urinating, worse when having to hold, with no luck talking to GP's. Don't know what might be related but here are my medical problems. Pituitary tumor,Fybromyalgia, nerve disturbances in forarms similar to carpal tunnel.Ongoing upper back pain.As alay person nerve disturbances through shared pathways in spine sounds plausable as it seems to be the only place nerves to the bladder and nerves down the arm could meet.Try and tell that to a doctor though and you might end up in the funny farm.I have mentioned it to GP,back specialist, urologist, accupunturist and endicrinologist all with the same blank stare that stops you in your tracks too affraid to continue for fear of the Straight Jacket.Has anyone thought about writing to Dr Oz or some other medical Tv show ? Thats my story and Good Luck you will need it.

I am not a doctor, but I know what this is. As you get older the body needs blood in the nether regions to operate the urination and so it pulls blood from the extremities (the hands) causing the circulation pain. Well, since I have this medical problem and a million others at 73 that it what I feel is happening to my body. I quess we should check with a circulation expert, but I am sure that is what is happening. Stephen K

palm pain as we speak waiting for dr to be in from lunch. I have a uti or bladder infection. I also had heart ablations surgery about 6 months ago. I don't think it is related, but who knows. I think it is referred pain as was first mentioned.

I'm a 24 year old female and I have this issue too. It's really weird if I have to have a BM I get the pain in my hands and right now I have a pretty bad uti and when my bladder is almost empty I get severe pain in my bladder and also in my hands. I'm a nurse and I have never really heard of anyone else having this issue. I have never asked my doctor about it but it's nice to know I'm not alone.

I am 54 years old. I also feel like I have a bladder infection and my hands are also hurting when I urinate. Doctors indicate I am crazy, but I know what I am feeling. I have no insurance so I haven't gone to a urologist yet. I had the same feeling in my hands about a year ago. At that time I did have a bladder infection and the pain did go away after I took antibiotics. The doctors did not believe the pain was happening however.

Hi, :-D ... I am a healthy woman of 70 and have had this pain on urination for years. It is more of an ache but it is on the tops of my hands not the palms. It goes away when I finish urination. It does not seem to be related to the fact that I have a full bladder either. This is comforting to know that others have it too. Always wondered why???

25 year old healthy female here. I too have experienced pain in my palms when I pee here recently. I keep feeling like I need to pee even though I am sure I dont have too, and when i go i might or might not pee but there is this unexplainable pain in my palms. SO WEIRD. I almost want to cry and I cant even describe the feeling its almost more uncomfortable and strange as it is painful but as soon as I am done it goes away. And it doesnt happen every time. I am starting to think I might have the onset of a UTI, I have never had one so I do not know what to compare what I am going through to. BUT I have no pain my my vagina or urethra when I pee, only the pain in my palms. It has been about a week, I think if it is still bad tomorrow I am going to go ahead and call my OBGYN.

I also have pain in my left hand while urinating. I also told my doctor and he brushed it off unknown problem. Looks like a lot of people have the same problem.

This happens to me too. I told my doctor and he just laughed. I told him I can't be the only person in the world this happens to. Usually when I have bladder issues.
