I have the same thing! I have no clue what it is and it's freaking me out!

Ladies! Please look up Bartholin's Gland Cyst. I believe this is what we've all been referring to! Google images has a illustration of it as well.

I agree. I have the same thing. A small lump. Almost like a pimple but not "head". It is up top. I looked at bartholin cyst. And they seem to be lower.

So, I am 23, married, and have had this lump for about 10 years. I really have no excuse as to why I haven't had it removed and biopsied, except that I'm super afraid of surgery. Even if it would be a minor surgery. My old Gyno knew about it though from when I had a pap. Said it was ok. But, she wasn't 100% positive either.
Anyway, my lump is just one, feels like a weird oblong disk. Almost like a flying saucer looks. About the size and hardness of a tictac. It is on my right labia minora, on the inside, deep in the skin. There's no head, puss, etc. I have been able to break it up at times, but it hurts and just swells my vagina without actually makinf the lump itself different. I can kind of move it under the skin. It doesn't hurt though. Like, it's just there. Unless I irritate it and make it swell, there's no issue. Not with sex, or clothing, or menstrating either. So, if someone has an idea, I'd like to know too please.
Thank you for sharing, I'm glad that I'm not the only one, so that we can help each other.

I seem to get them if I eat tomatoes or acidy tomato sauces or salsa. I read that tomatoes are an estrogenic food...may affect hormones. Anyone else coincide these cysts with having too much tomato-based foods ?

Did you ever learn anything about it?

What you are describing sounds like fordyce spots on your labia, which are completely normal.

I've also been searching for a simple word for what I have experienced over the past 7 or so years. Similar to what you have written, it's a small hard bump (non-fluid filled, not an ingrown hair) that usually occurs where two labia come together. Unfortunately I have a problem area at the junction of 2 labia minora folds to the right of my clitoris. I obviously wash myself each day but every 6 months or so, if I look close enough, I can see something under the mucosal junction; I believe this forms because the area where the two labias come together isn't perfectly sealed leaving a tiny pocket where debris can get in. If left alone the minute pressure of this deposit creates an itchy discomfort. After I shower, if I apply gentle and precise pressure adjacent to the deposit, a .5mm x .5mm semisolid piece comes out, relieving the discomfort. If you have this problem or something similar, the deposit removal is a bit painful and should be done with extreme caution.

I just went to doc for the same thing. Cyst like mass in between the layers of skin of my right labia minora. It appeared the day my period ended. My doc said the she has had one too and that they are not uncommon. She said to think of it like a pimple under the skin. She prescribed a steroid ointment, but I just started treatment today so I don't know if it will help. She told me that they aren't anything to worry about unless they become very painful or get larger.

The doctor told you this cyst was related to PCOS? I get this irritated cyst during about every cycle and also been told I have PCOS.

My gyn said the same thing! He biopsied one and said they were non threatening sebaceous cysts and removing them ( I have a lot!) would be labor intensive and likely return! I am thinking on having them removed because they are not attractive- in a sense-

This is my first time getting this. Most of y'all described it to a T. It freaked me out a bit because I wasn't active. Had sex, and then it was there the following morning. It is tender to the touch but the pain is relatively manageable. Thank you for your honest posts

The wash clothes are a great idea, but it needs to be soft to the touch first. Do not try to pop a marble as you could damage the good tissue near it. If it feels soft then maybe. If you have had it this long and it uncomfortable a doctor can help remove it.

I have experienced this and have discovered that Hydrocortisone cream helps tremendously.
