I had the miren after having my daughter in 2010. I bled 5 months straight and the mirena kept falling out. My gyno at the time would just shove it back up, he did It twice. i finally had him take it out and went to a new gyno. The new doctor found out my uterus is in an abnormal place needed it put in while an ultra sound was being done.

I did fine for the first 6 months then i had sever cramping. No periods just cramping. It was the worst cramps, worse than the 2 miscarriages I had before my daughter was born. I went to the new doc and he said the mirena caused a slight case of endometriosis and if I get it removed It would help itself. Now I have been trying to conceive for 3 years with no luck. Until this month I had all the symptoms of pregnancy i was a week late on my period and today i felt really sick and started cramping lightly, an hour later I started bleeding. I started cramping like I did on the mirena and found out I amhaving a miscarriage. It's devastating. I finally got pregnant after 3 years of trying and now I lost the baby. I don't understand why so many people are having good experiences but not me. I'm 25 years old, happily married with a great job and my family taken care of, but the one thing I want is to have another child and I am losing hope.

Did this ever end for you? Did you fall pregnant. I've had the same issue for 5 months, every cycle I get weeks of symptoms and then nothing!

I got my 2nd round of the IUD in 2013. I got it removed in August this year and ttc since & no luck. I have had nausea, urge to urinate at 3 & 4 in the morning, sore breasts, and etc but no positive test yet. I haven't even received a positive ovulation test. Even after testing every day starting 4 days after the last day of my cycle up to when my next cycle started. I have even resorted to taking "preg prep" & "cassava root" pills hoping to get something with 2 lines but nothing. Devistatingly enough again my period started 2 days early. Some months it starts late & the next month 3 days early. I feel less of a woman because I can't seem to get preggers for nothing. Which makes it even harder to tell my man that again we're not preggers. I don't know what to do, so frustrating.

I'm with you. I've had Mirena removed 2 year's ago, no periods unless I take medication. Someone suggested I could have endometriosis, I'll be setting up an appointment soon.

I was on the mireba for a total of 8 years... I got the first one inserted after the birth of muy 2nd child. After 5 years I got a new one inserted and kept that one in for 3 years. I've had the mirena out now for 1 year and have been having trouble conceiving for 1 whole year! Had anyone else experienced not being able to conceive a year after removal. Starting to lose hope...

I'm actually going through the same thing. Its been 1 year of trying and nothing after having the mirena removed. Thinking this mirena has messed up my cycle and fertility. Was starting to get discouraged!

Just because you have a baby doesn't mean you wont have time to shower or brush your hair.... and so what about your friends, if they dropped you because you had a baby then they wasn't true friends from the start.

I had the mirena put in when i was 18 and kept it for far to long like 7 years. So i was about 26 when i took it out, then did the birth contol shots for about a year. Now I'm 28 and am not on any form of birth control. but I think I ruined my insides?

I experienced the same thing it lasted for over 9 months after removal. They call it the Mirena crash it's the worst. I'm now back to feeling like myself again but still 13 months no baby!
