iv been using for roughly six months, at first i started off on 100 miligram fentenyl patches, and now iv been doing dope. my problem is i have a very bad addictive personality. im currently withdrawling from H and its not fun at all. honestly i hate to say it but the only reason im not on it right now is cuz i have no money or drugs. but after this withdrawl im really considering keeping away from the sh*t. i just dont know the best way to do it. in my expierience i dont have a strong enough will power to just stay away from it, it sounds like an excuse but im just always so upset and i use to self medicate so i don't have to think about all the problems that consume my life. but im trying to research the best way to keep away from this stuff without sparking up another addiction. but it does make me feel a little better to know that im not alone, ciz i do feel like a lowlife junkie scumbag. but i know thats not who i am, this stuff has literally consumed my life. but please any other home remedies would be helpfull. im so tired of depending on a drug to make me happy. and the worrying if i have enough to last me and the fear of withdrawl. iv been considering a detox program but im trying to find one that will give me something to alieviate the withdrawls but its not looking so good. so please if anyone knows of a detox program in connecticut that gives you some type of medication to help with the withdrawls please dont hesitate to share. this is probly one of the hardest things iv ever had to deal with.i just hope i can get through this in one piece. thanks for your time. wish me luck!

I know a lot of people question the loperamide remedy for stopping all your withdrawals but just from my experience and after to many attempts trying to quit cold turkey after over 7 years of to many pain meds it 100% worked and I am still in disbelief. Today is day 7 cold turkey and I have had zero withdrawals. I thought everyone was honestly crazy but I thought what the heck it's about the only thing I haven't tried. The first two days I took 2 Zantac and 8 loperamide, days 3-4 took 2 Zantac and 6 loperamide, days 5-6 took 2 Zantac and 5 loperamide and today was 1 Zantac and 4 loperamide and I will take one more off for the next 3 days til zero. I have energy and did not have one withdrawal at all. Thank you loperamide I'm 7 days clean and NEVER made it this far to many times trying to count. I wish everyone the best and hang in it most definitely gets better.

Methadone is not an option! I was addicted to pain pills 7 years ago. A friend of mine was going to a methadone clinic & suggested that if I wanted to quit pain pills then methadone was an option. I spent 5 years hooked on methadone. Spent thousands of dollars a year. I finally started to taper down. Got down to 2mgs a day & quit. It was the most physically & mentally painful 6, YES SIX, months of my life. I was suicidal. I missed family gatherings. I was unintentionally cruel to the people I love. Do the research. Methadone is the most difficult withdrawal known. Worse than heroin. Worse than anything. Few people successfully kick methadone without inpatient help. Mine is a very rare case. I survived it only bc I have a large family nearby that babysat me everyday for 6 months. Once again, do the research before you try any W/D tactic. I check in on these forums for this very reason.

Loperamide is an Anti-Diarrheal that is an Opiod that does not cross the blood brain barrier so it does not get you high. But a high dose, depending on your previous dosage, such as 5, 10, 20 or sometimes more have given relief to people in opiod/opiate withdrawal. If you suffer constipation lower your dose because it means you have taken too much because your bowels are used to opiates, as per constipation when you go on a binge of one opiate/opiod etc. Over constipation can be dangerous. THis can and has helped, some people report a buzz when drinking white grapefruit juice or using Tagamet (antacid) which inhibits the liver enzyme that breaks up opiates and benzos. Im not a doctor, these are just things Ive used that help. Lots of water, Benzos (xanax, valium, klonopin) if you have them but dont become addicted to those, much worse WDs Im told. Exercise helps too and make sure you dont starve yourself, eat and take vitamins. Also, dose down the Loperamide cause it is addictive to your bowels, diarrhea will return...

I've been on Oxy for at least 4 years. 50 mg a day on average. Not for pain, just for pleasure. This is a terrible drug and I have 3 pills left. I have booked off some time from work and going to go cold turkey tommorow. I will go to the drug store tommorow morning to get some of the over the counter home remedies that  I have found out about from this forum. This forum has given me great inspiration and I hope I am sucessfull. I know it will be hell for at least a week or more. I will let you know what happens and I wish everyone here that is in the same boat as I'm in that it is time to get our lives back. No counting pillls, no feeling like sh*t every 5 or 6 hours. I've had enough. Time to take my life back!

Kris please give the loperamide a try it honestly works awesome. I was like you would go days and days with zero sleep and would end up taking pain meds just to make it stop and sleep. I had tried everything and never would have thought this very cheap OTC would have done the trick. I'm so thankful for the loperamide. Hang in there and best of wishes to you.

Kris - Have you tried the Zantac and then 30 minutes later the loperamide? I know a lot of people think its crazy but it honestly works very well. At night try Benadryl or melatonin for sleep. Taking the loperamide actually even made my nights bearable. I didn't get 8 hours of sleep but enough to function and not be all yucky. I also take liquid B12 and a one a day vitamin every morning which also seems to help. Hang in there and remember everyday is one day closer to being free of these pain meds. Good luck you can do this.

Try valerian root you can take it up to four times a day and it acts like a benzo to help the anxiety. it is all natural and not addictive. Hope the helps.

Thank you Finally free. I did try the Lopermide and it worked great. Today is day three for me after going cold turkey. All my withdrawal symtons were gone after 30 hours from my last pill of OXY. I also took Benadryl,Vitamin b6, and Aleve. My energy is low but it will return in time. Thank god this is over and I told my guy not to supply me anymore. Oxy is an evil drug and I hope everyone here the best in their quest to quit this c**p.
