as far as the drinking water yes it helps but if your cramps are unbearable take some ibuprofen and get a heating pad it dont have to be on high but a medium to high setting works good and put it on your lower abdomin and curl up in a fetal position and take a small nap i assure you you will wake up feeling better and there is nothing wrong with repeating this method do so until it helps! but i hate to beat this suggestion with a dead horse but if you have pain this bad i would definatly get it looked at! my mother suffered from fibroid tumors and my sis has P.C.O.S. both are very similar in the pain retrospect. both equally serious conditions! so please check into it, it wont hurt anymore to do so

I have been to the doctor many times my life I have had my stumick xrayed and everything even been put on the strongest meds nothing helps. I am now in massage school and learning not only of mucsles but pathologys. I read that it could be dysmenorrhea. nothing helps the only thing it said to do is apply heat. there was a new study in the book that says that you have vitamin k and acupucture done on your abdmon. the study said that it helped 70% of people or more. so if this helps go look it up I am wondering if this will help not only me but you guys

Im having the same problem. It's 2:32am(Canada time) and I've take two tylenol muscle and body and it takes the pain away I'm like 5 min. I also fid that problem with my flow too. My cramps are so bad on a scale of 1 to 10 there like 50. I don't know what else to say except that eating a banana helps with cramps too. Strange enough to say it's like a pain killer. Hope this helps :)

Cella, how old are you? I'm 48 and have been bleeding everyday for the last 4 months before this i was having two very long periods a month i was not getting any breaks and now i bleed every day some days heavy enough to bleed through a super plus tampon in less than 10min some days i will have big blood clots that are thick and very dark in color other days slimy buggery clots that look like chunks of meat. I get cramps in my lower back and deep inside my stomach that make me want to cry. it feels like really bad gas. my doctor said i might be going through pre menopausal or i need to have a hysterectomy or even cyst on my ovaries i will let you know what happens after my ultrasound and full blood panel

I have the same problem for almost two years but now it is getting worse. I made an appointment with a doctor and I suggest you do the same. I am a little freaked out about cysts and cancers, so I am taking this seriously and getting checked out. My stomach pains are not as bad as yours but the bleeding and clots scare me. Most of the time I do not start bleeding until I sit on the toilet. Lately I have been very weak probably because of all the bleeding every day. I will let you know what my doctor says but being that my situation might be a little different from yours you should still see a doctor.

hi guys,  I face the same problem but only when I put on weight and the fat level in my body rises when this happens my cycle stays 28 days but I only bleed streams of blood while urinating with lots and lots of dark red blood clots. When I asked an OBGYN a few years back she said its because of the fat level in my body, she suggested that I work out and involve myself into sports therefore I started interval training and swimming believe me this always remove this irregularity in my PMS and I get my normal heavy bleeding cycle back along with this bleeding in urine and traces of blood clots.

It could b endometriosis. This causes the lining of the uterus to not break-down as needed. The cramping and pain is associated w/ the clots trying to pass through the cervix and shed the lining off the uterus. Endometriosis also can cause pain and discomfot while having intercourse.. or no symptoms at all. Best to follow-up w/ your doctor.

Hi Sisters, I was actually relieved to read so many posts describing my situation exactly. I have been afraid every month since i stopped taking the pill. I am 38 and have high BP so after many years enjoying being on the pill, I am now experiencing this terrible cycle where the pain is unbearable for several days before any bleeding actually occurs. The clots always frighten me as well. I assume we are in pain because the clotting is preventing the flow and our uteruses are contracting too much. I hope someone can come up with some remedies for us. I am sitting here on the verge of tears just trying to endure the pain.

I too have had similar situation for over 3 years, around a 35 days cycle with blood clots and possible PCOS. Before that a year without any periods till I decided to come off the pill.  However the last 2 months I have been working out lots, yoga and dancing, have cut out all sugar in my diet, started drinking green tea, and more water.  Also have lost around 6kgs and wow amazingly my periods are clot and pain free and now down to 29 day cycle. In my situation diet and exercise has really helped, oh and tracking my cycle using an app on my phone. Hope this helps someone else :)
