I think what the one guy is tryn to say is suboxine will not show up in most drug tests, such as ones they do on jobs or before them. They have to test specifically for suboxine to find suboxine. The only use of these tests are by clinics, doctors, and law enforcement.

The individual test for suboxon is actually buprenorhpine. It's used to see if the patients are actually taking the C 2's or using suboxone so they can sell the narcotics. Not a common test, but most pain clinincs intentionally test it for that reason.

I have been on probation for a year, and suboxone for about 2 years now.1 I am tested every month from probation with a typical drug test and the suboxine DOES NOT show up, I never even informed probation of my probation officer that I am on it. This is because (as said earlier) suboxine is not a full agonist opiate and does not show up as such. That being said, I am also tested every month from my suboxine doctor, he actually uses two different strips to test the urine. The first is a typical drug test which is given to make sure I'm not slipping up with opiates or anything else while he is prescribing me suboxine, and the second is to just specifically test to make sure that I AM taking the suboxine he's prescribing and not just getting it and giving it or selling it away.

The simple point I'm trying to get across here is that No, the typical drug test which is used by doctors, the state probation departments, and drug tests given before/during employment (not even two weeks ago I was drug tested for my job at the Postal Service) does not detect suboxine. It is obviously possible to test for in the urine, but it is a separate test that as of now has not yet been integrated in typical drug tests.

there is no such thing as a 50% half life! What r u talking about??? The half life is the amount of HOURS it takes for a drug to be down to 1/2 of whatever mg you took. You are saying then that suboxune has a 24hr 1/2 life!! Half life means 50% but you still need a number of hours!!

whenever i take suboxone i usually only take half (4mgs) and that will last for at LEAST 2 days for me. Im not saying anyone here with more informed comments is wrong or anything, but if I take 4mg I still cant shoot any opiate and feel the effects 48-72 hours later. So if your looking to get any rush I would say wait at least 72 hours.

But in reality dont abuse suboxone at all, the longer you use any opiate the more your life is gonna suck.

. This guy or gal says there's no way of detecting subs in your system. Let's all listen to him!!! Hahah you can so fail a drug test for subs I'd stay clean from it if you don't have a prescription. Maybe not all jobs test for it but good jobs will and court most likely will so before you believe this guy I'd give it a couple days. Follow the half life instructions or call the hotline these people are there for you.

That is absolutely not true!! Suboxone IS an opiate. The DEA, FDA, and suboxone drug company can verify this. Buprenorphine IS an opiate. Just because naloxone is an ingredient included in suboxone does not mean the buprenorphine does not show up. It absolutely does...get your own UDS from a pharmacy and test it!! It will be positive EVERY TIME!

You'll be ok.  The withdrawal wont start until your 2nd day off them and it will peak for about 3 days after that.  Then you may just have lack of energy for a while, actually a LONG while. The withdrawl symptoms arent tooo bad.  Lots of sh**ting, lower back pain(4 Motrin 200mg helps this), dehydration(drink lots of water and Gatorade), restless legs(THIS IS THE BIGGEST b***h but try to get prescribed a muscle relaxer, dont use benzoids, they are terrible for opiate withdrawal and will keep u up all night), take LOTS of showers and soak in the tub and if you live in a warm state, get lots of sun. The vitamin D makes you feel great!!  And try to excersise like jogging or at least walking.  The trick is you want to sweat.  I was on Suboxone for 7 years and I took myself off it by tapering like you did.  Good luck and stay strong...
