How serious is 50% coronary artery blockage?

CTA shows calcium score of 55. Focal, densely calcified plaque in distal LM and ostial LAD. Cath showed less blockage than expected - only 50%. Have occasional PVCs/PACs. Decision is to manage medically. I am an extremely active 65 year old female with minimal symptoms. Is this typical treatment and what are the risks of throwing a clot? Thank you.

My Docs early warning system is exercise. i did it at a gym and got the early warnings, yep three different times and no repeat heart attack, 2 stents and a ballooning five years later of one of the stents. Went to vege, fruit & chicken based diet and kicked the sh**t cholesterol down to a ratio of 2.2 v/s 4.3. All other numbers chopped to less thank 1/2. Also ate 4 Brazil Nuts at the start of each month, cuts bad LDL by 30%. Look it up.

I too am looking for answers to the same question. My husband has 50% blockage in 2 arteries. He is spending the night in our local hospital for observation after a TIA this morning.

I had a quadruple bypass surgery done in 2019. Doctor said I was in great physical condition. My cause of blockages were due to genetic history. Doctor said my life style saved my life. Not overweight, no high blood pressure, diabeties and physically active. Doctor said I was the most healthy patient he ever had. My heart was perfect. My question, at that time my right coronary artery had a 70% blockage and two 50% blockages, but they did not seem concerned about it being life threatening and did not do surgery on that artery, just the left coronary. A vein was used for the quadruple blockages (99%, 80%, 80%, 60%) on the left artery. Is that a concern for the future? Doctor told me to do exactly what I have been doing in the past, which I have. What like your comments on your thoughts.

Last week I went in for a cardiac ablation as I had an arrhythmia. The doctor decided to run an angiogram beforehand just to be on the safe side. Good thing he did because I had 90% blockage of my Ramus artery. Instead of the ablation I had angioplasty done and had a stent put in. On Monday I went to see the Doc for a post procedure visit. He tells not only was that artery 90% blocked but my circumflex artery is 50% blocked and that we need to keep a watch on it because if it gets worse they are going to have to do an open heart surgery! I guess the block is in a position that they would not be able to stent. Here I was glad they found the other artery on time but now I have to worry about possibly having open heart surgery. Oh yeah, and in a few months I am having the first of two shoulder replacements. I need to lose wait to help out my heart. I've gained 50lbs since retirement.

I had a spiritual experience in which was visual image form of information most found in the Bible scriptures and the other easily related to the history in the Bible. I began looking for answers spent 7 years in christian online chats where I learned about Jesus. This lead me to understand what truth means. I cocluded truth w tells me exactly what any one thing is. Learning the Bible scripture should be all truth I began to realize I can believe in Jesus learning from the Bible Jesus is the way truth and life and the way for a man to to be born again into life living with the creator of all things created, Jesus and God. I attribute the understanding of learning what I have to the truth. Not only learning there is no more a perfect thing to believe than something perfect and to learn what a perfect thing is I can now leave my mind in this place of believing in the the thing I can now trust in with all the proof necessary for this to have happened in my life. So now with narrowings of arteries first being the carotid brachial artery of more than 50% having a stent considering a further change in diet and increased exercise to at least two hours each day that the biblical first diet comes into full effect in my life and the other many narrowings heal. I can update my progress.

Can Pad or Cad be life-threatening? My main arteries are completely blocked. My doc won't tell me much. Just that I am completely blocked in my main arteries. And he is mapping out surgery.

My husband was dx with 50% in the left carodid, and 67% in the right. does he need an endocarodectomy?
