Not sure if this will help everyone but I had the same noises from my intestines to stomach to even "down there" my doctor couldn't help me, I was at the point of skipping school during big tests. After tons of research I decided to change my diet to being more healthy, make sure I go to the bathroom on my schedule every day,and especially make probiotic yogurt/banana smoothie on weekends. After two months the noises only happen after breakfast for 5 minutes, I think its the unhealthy diet in our modern culture mixed with anxiety that is added by unhealthy bathroom schedules that may be the cause or at least make it worse for some people. Give it a try but I don't recommend the yogurt smoothie right before a test because at first your body isn't used to all the new bacteria and reacts negatively so try weekends.

BEANO TABLETS WORK. Hi, I started having this problem at my last job - like nine months ago when suddenly in an crowded but quiet office my stomach growled loudly and everybody started laughing and looking at me - it was most embarrassing thing I have experienced in my life, and I have went through many embarrassing situations in my life. So, what I have found out works best for me and almost completely eliminates this 'out-of-nowhere' rumblings/growling’s are 'beano' tablets. I take two at night (9pm), two in the morning after breakfast, and two in the afternoon after lunch. So far, no noises, but they make me go to bathroom more than usual :). All in all it is worth it and I always carry those tablets with me in my pocket in case when it gets too quiet in the office. Also, I don't eat anything with high sodium anymore as I have noticed foods with high sodium can cause me to have this rumblings out of nowhere, and it is the most embarrassing thing to experience so, I understand everybody's pain :(.

The answer: L-glutamine

I too had these growls a lot, then I tried L-glutamine that people around the internet said it helped against their IBS. It helped like 70% :p

I would definitely advice you to try it, cause this amino acid also known for healing the gut.

Hello all. I have had the same problems as you. Mine is slightly different though. the non stop growling happened only after a work out, it turns out I tore my right oblique muscle and it was giving me a constant upset stomach. Eventually it healed on its own but it still makes some noises and if I stretch that side out I can feel the pulling sensation from the scar tissue. I have to go through physical therapy after I heal a bit more. I was told that a pulled muscle can take up to a year to heal, but I actually tore mine so it might take longer.

I'm 50 and in the last 6 years or so have I noticed gassy stomach noises immediately after eating fast food and some tv dinners. I never drink milk so that's not the problem, and I almost never eat bread or pasta. I do rely on yogurt -- the probiotics help right away and apparently, lactose is not present in yogurt due to the fermenting process. One thing I know for sure -- fast food makes my stomach go crazy. I also eat lots of "healthy" frozen dinners and some of those make my stomach loud. Vegetables and salads seem to be safe. I wonder what ingredient in fast food and processed food causes the noises? OH - i have learned NEVER to have carbonated drinks if I'm going to be in a meeting or quiet room with other people. And don't chew sugarless gum or candy in these instances. They will make your stomach growl as if you are hungry.

Hi, I'm having a problem. I started to have these growling feels around my colon. It doesn't hurt, but it can cause noise. When I tried to look it up on Google, i found the term "anus growling." I would be in class and my butt area would start to rumble. Sometimes when the class was quiet, you could hear it. It was very uncomfortable.

If you're going to be in a quiet environment, stay away from salad. I know it's good for you, so eat it for dinner but not lunch. Also, I found that bread causes noise issues. But peanut butter seems ok. So maybe try eating a peanut butter sandwich on thin pita bread or maybe something non-wheat, like a rice cracker. You might have a gluten problem.

Mix a decent amount of apple cider vinegar with a large glass of water. Then drink that with your breakfast or whatever meal you'd prefer. This should ease hunger and growling. BUT DONT DO THIS ON AN EMPTY STOMACH. If you do this in moderation most if not all growling should stop. It helped me a lot, I hope it helps you too!
