to Guest. I am 14. I am stuggling with weight loss too. I'm telling you that drastic of a weight lose within that short amout of time is unhealthy. Just try to drink more water, if you don't have good clean water (or you don't like to taste of tapwater) then drink diet caffeine free soda. When I get hungry and I know I have eaten enough for the day I pick up a drink. Or if I don't want to snack I go for a drink. And pretty much it's a matter of watch what you eat, and portion controll. I'm just going to end this with, please do not stoop to surgery to fix it, there can be complacation and it won't help your hunger or anything.

Brea, i didn't liike to workout in the beginning, but if you force yourself to go everyday than you soon will want to go everyday. that's what worked for me. it's odd enough because im 14 and weight almost the same.. 194. losing weight takes time but is capable. you can do it :)

Diet pills are bad, even for most adults. If you really want to make changes try small things and build on them. Start with the food like theoriginalemagrece said, then try walking in addition, after that do side bends =] all of this is really simple and healthy =] Whatever you do, don't strain yourself doing so. Slow and steady wins the race. Losing it too fast can be very unhealthy and have nasty side effects. The best thing I can think of is to try something like aerobics, you can get a video on it just about anywhere and just follow along with it, but dont push your self too hard and keep your chin up, everything will turn out well as long as you are dedicated =]

look losing weight is hard im in the process of it too and guess what im 14 and i feel great everyday i can run i feel better about myself the key my friend is cut down on junk food like literally take it out of your diet cut loose on nasty cereals instead of juice or soda drink water and eat fiber it makes you seem fuller faster. also dont sit around just stay walking do some jumping jacks sit ups i prefer you do cario which is running cycling and stuff you can get there just be determined you gotta want it i weighted 160 im 5'6 i now weigh 134 and im still losing my parents saying that im too skinny and that just motivates me to loose more and eat healthier im not happy with my weight too but just eat less drink more water and no greasy foods little to no meat and fat free milk 2% has tons of calories i hope i helped i literaly would help you if you if i could see you

hey I'm 14 too and weigh 142.3 exactly and my 15 birthday is coming pup soon and I wound like to weigh 120..I walk my dogs ride my ripstick and do cheer...I try to eat good.. Its just 20 pounds I want to lose and it's hard...help!

hi I am 14 and I strongly recommend going for a run - by pushing yourself each time but not being extreme you will become stronger, the point is increasing the distance at a stable rate - you shouldn't be wanting to lose weight, you should want to be happy and be stronger, become fit because you want to not because other people are placing pressure on you. Also drinking a lot of water a day is good - it helps with boosting your metabolism and allows everything to flow. Another point another person stressed I believe is very important - IT WONT HAPPEN OVERNIGHT - very important. If you are embarrassed to go for a run because people may see you - what I did was take some music with me and ignored everyone else and focused on me - it began to feel really good - like you have accomplished something. Restricting your diet - stay away from fatty foods - but don't become an extremist - once in a while is alright. I have braces so what I did was use them as an excuse to not have chocolate and lollies and fizzy drinks at first it was hard but I got used to it. Have a stable diet, eating and drinking in moderation and surround yourself with a reliable support network - friends and family - GOOD LUCK!!!!

ok hun im 14 years old as well and on the fatter side all of u ppl who are saying u are 110 and 98 and 120 u guys are not fat at all i dont understand what u guys are worring about?? to me you guys r just looking for a compliment seriously i weigh 160 punds you guys dont kno what its liek to be fat honestly..and as for the losing weight to every1 who NEEDS to eat good stick to the food pyramid. excersise, such as jogging doing out door activities walk ride a bike play volleyball dance for a few hours play the wii such has doing justdance or wii fit(actuly do the movements dont half it) drink lots of water and cut out soda, juices are ok onc in awhile..and drink plenty of milk specialy if ur a girl(: i rlly hope this helps some of you <3

I'm 14 and my now x bf called me fat... I only weigh 118 and thats pretty good for just having his baby... I gained 15 pounds being pregnant and I want to lose it. I'm anorexic so looking at my self is horrible. I feel like I'm fat and my bf telling me that I was fat was the worst thing.... I havnt eaten food in days. And it's not healthy for my baby. But no matter what I do I can't eat!!! I can't even shove food down my throat. I catch myself looking at calories and carbs. I really could use help!!! I need it. Somebody help me!!!! I'm 14 and I understand your concern. I felt so ashamed hanging around even my closest friends because they're all super skinny. I even took some pills from my parent's cabinets and started taking them. DO NOT think that's okay. The pills made me feel worse about myself because it was like saying that there's no hope anymore. I was really eager to see myself lose weight so fast,but one thing you need to understand is, that it will always be impossible for you to lose weight in 1 day. It will take time and patience. I started going to the gym and taking Zumba classes. And if a gym is too expensive, just walk around the neighborhood for 30 minutes. One of the biggest problems I've faced was not having the motivation. But you have to just look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that things have to change and working out and eating right are the only ways to do it. If you can't do hardcore workouts do something fun! Like help out around the house more. Go up and down the stairs at least 10 times a day. Major key, eat right! I'm not saying only eat salads and greens. For breakfast I eat a peanut butter and banana sandwich and a glass of orange juice. I never really eat lunch or dinner ( that's just because I'm never really hungry) but stick to something light. And please don't ever make yourself throw up, starve yourself, or drink green tea. Those things just make it worse. I read this article hoping for an answer too, but I found myself commenting. ******* The most important thing is to always believe you can do it.
