Hi, I am also 14, and weigh around 180 pounds. I am trying to lose weight as well, and I have found there are a few things you can do to drop some pounds (FYI these are in a random order).

1.Cut down on your calories. This does not mean you should starve yourself but can have a major effect on your weight and fast. Try cutting down about 500-1,000 calories from your daily intake, and you will start seeing some results after a while.

2. Exercise every day. Exercise is vital when you're trying to lose weight. I found that if you want to do it quickly, you need to commit and do it every day. It can be whatever you want, as long as you sweat. Plus, to make this easier, I would recommend listening to music, playing a game or even watching a movie during it. This way your head is busy with something else and will not focus on what your body is doing.

3. Use any chance to exercise. There are so many extra things you can do throughout the day to try and lose some weight. They can even be extremely simple, but you may not have thought of them since you are used to being lazy. For example, instead of using the elevator, take the stairs. Stand instead of sitting if you can. Do some jumping jacks during the commercial break of your favorite TV show. Dance around your room for a while. Have a race with some friends or siblings. Take your dog (if you have one) on an extra-long, brisk walk. I think you get the point.

4. Remove sugar as much as possible. Sugar makes you crave more sugar. That why when you have a small piece of chocolate, you'll soon find yourself eating the whole bar instead. If you try to take out the sugar, (preferably little by little) than you will end up consuming less calories.

5. Instead of eating, drink something. Sometimes your body confuses hunger with thirst, so instead of eating, have a glass of water or maybe try some tea. In addition, if you want to cut out the calories from the sugar in tea, try using a sweetener called Lakanto Monk fruit sweetener, which has zero calories and tastes just fine.

I hope these tips help you and I even have some more if you want. Just leave a reply, posed as a question and address it to the name Emma Fay.

PS. I know my writing is kind of cheesy and cringe, but I try my best to make sure you can understand it. I really want to help you because I know what you're going through since I am ashamed of myself as well, but I somehow managed to lose some weight using these tricks. I went from 198 to 185, which is around 13 pounds. I am trying to lose more and hope to at least get down to 140 pounds, even less. Anyway, I just went on another sappy nerd rant. Sorry about that. Just want you to know you're not alone. Which is also kind of sappy.

PPS. This might be a strange question, but I was wondering if you were a boy or a girl? I think you kind of sound like a girl. No offense if you're a boy, that's cool, I'm just interested. it's fine if you don't want to tell me.
