I'm female and I'm 17 years old. I've just started masturbating and I've read articles on how to do it. I've tried positioning myself under the shower, using a vibrating toothbrush, and even fingering myself. When fingering I made sure to make contact with my clit, but it didn't help. Also when I tried to insert another finger it hurt despite the fact I was wet. I can't feel anything from masturbating, I get turned on from watching porn but I don't get any pleasure. Is this normal?

it's not unusual for a woman to not feel sexual pleasure when masturbating. some only enjoy sexual pleasure with a partner.

Dont worry i feel the same way.
I dont get off with fingering my self but clitoral stimulation is the only way i can( rubbing with fingers or objects dont work either).

Ive tried the toothbrush and many other items but i found that a clit vibrator or a bullet with multi speeds does the trick. Also some mental pictures to get in the mood, lol.

The shower doesn't work for me either... Or inserting into vagina, although you probably shouldn't try and widen it a bit if you want to try that stimulation because otherwise it is painfully tight... (Just keep playing inserting fingers)... but as I said that's not that pleasurable for me.

Try not to directly stimulate the actual clit, and just rubbing the hood, or vibrating the hood... It could be just because it's direct stimulation... 

And relax, discover your body naturally... If you had to read how to do it, you're probably doing it wrong

I'm the same with fingering. If I insert my fingers in my vagina, I feel nothing but a little bit of pain. The only thing that gives me pleasure is clitoral stimulation.
