Hi. It's been a long time since I've written here. A few news.
My sister: shaving was the worst possible idea. The short hairs were hard and she had to shave everyday. Her skin became all red and she had to stop, letting the hairs grow but now because they have been cut they are sharp and not so soft anymore. So she decided to pluck them all out once and then let them regrow. We did it on sunday and took the opportunity to count them which we hadn't done for all these months. I plucked out 210 left, 124 right and 203 in the middle. Now she has a circle of 64 hairs around her left areola which she has always kept and 58 around her right. Plus those which she plucks out regularly in that area which seems to her to be more or less the same number. Which would mean all in all 338 left and 240 right. Above her navel there are 12 hairs, below there are 103, joining the triangle of hair growing "on top" of her pubic hair.
Me: No hair back on my breasts but definitely a small circle around the areolas is developing. 24 left, 19 right. I'm still letting them grow. Head: I believe my parting has gone wider. Difficult to say though for certain. But still a lot of hairs in my brush and in my shower. My sister thinks it's my hair getting thinner in a general way. She's positive that there's a spot where I can't hide the skin of my head anymore though there's still hair there. Face: also on my upperlip new hair is getting dark. On my chin I pluck 2-3 hairs out everyday. Cannot know how many there are but must be quite some.
So far for the update. Good luck to all.

Hi, even though there seems to be no one out there taking part in this topic I keep it as a personal diary anyway.
My sister: she went on plucking out some each morning, as she sees them regrow and maybe she's right that that's the way to do it for she seems to have it quite well under control. She's also plucked out more around her areolas. From some distance you only notice the remaining hairs there, but of course if you're close enough you notice that there are short hairs everywhere else, but short and they certainly don't seem to be that many since they're short.
Me: last month 26 left, 20 right, plus 2 in between then I plucked all out. Doesn't seem to become that bad. Upperlip: I've had them removed by laser but doctor says there will be more so I will have to do it again. Hear: I've been diagnosed with androgenic alopecia and there's no way to know where it will take me exactly.

Hi Cindy. I come here to read your story from time to time. I'm concerned and my sister also. We're both from Indian origin (adopted, not biological sisters) and the doctor said that women from South Asia in general develop more hair than women from western countries. We don't have hairloss, so I can't help you there. How old are you now? Maybe it will stop soon. We are 23 and 25 and we both have grown a mustache and a unibrow and have nipple and navel hair. My sister has more body hair than I but I have in return a stronger mustache and unibrow than she and a frontal hairline which starts deeper and which goes further on my temples making my forehead appear very small. I have only a few short hairs around the navel but my sister has long hairs there and a small trail of these long hairs down to her pubic hair and another trail of smaller hairs up to her breasts where they fan out as fine fuzzy dark hair and cover the lower part of her breasts. Around her areolas she has again long dark hairs, which make a complete circle. We never counted but her areolas are large so maybe there are 100 hairs on each side. I have more nipplehair beause I have very small areolas, not much larger than my nipples and which really seem to be part of the nipples when hard. But I have a larger circle of short and coarse hairs like bristles around them. They are a little bit more than 1' long. The hairs grow rather thick closest to the areola then get lighter. Even when not hard, my areola is less than 1'' but the circle of hairs is 3'' on my left breast and nearly 4"" on my right. I counted them for you (this was difficult! how do you do it?) and there are more or less 140 on my left and 200 on my right breast. We've never thaught of doing anything against them, we feel they're part of our identity. Maybe you should embrace yours too. All good wishes! Sam
Hi Sam. Well I've turned 18 these days. And I don't feel the hairs are part of my identity. Good for you if you can cope with them.
hi cindy
i've been keeping up with your entries ever since i found them, because i also grow hair on my breasts, chest, and navel. i'm turning 18 soon too. maybe you could ask a doctor or specialist whether laser treatment or electrolysis would be more suited for your hair growth (and the same goes for your sister). it seems that this kind of hair growth is influenced by hormones that have the capacity to affect your body in other ways (and not just female pattern baldness). to see if that might happen, i suggest going to an endocrinologist and discussing what can be done about regulating your hormone levels. i haven't done this yet, but i plan to. good luck and update when you can :)

Hi Alyssa. Thanks for sharing. Yes, these are the treatments I had. Some hairs grow back, but it's not that bad. I go on plucking them out. I have to do 2-6 each day on each side. It seems kind of under control. I haven't been back to the doctor for the additional hormone tests. So far I feel fine, except for the hair problems. How many hairs do you have?
hi cindy, it's alyssa
i'm interested in how you're going to go about being diagnosed with androgenic alopecia. i've heard that female pattern baldness combined with our kind of hair growth are symptoms for polycystic ovarian syndrome. i've been told that i likely do not have it because i'm not overweight nor do i have any hairline recession nor dark hair growth on my face. i know that you've gotten hormone tests, but if any of those things affect you in the future, i'd suggest checking again.
it feels like my hairs have been increasing (107 on right, 81 in middle, 110 on left, there's a mix of thin/light hairs and dark/thick hairs and the latter is the majority) so i'm going to wait until i'm sure that my body is finished with growing to get hair removed. i'm planning on doing electrolysis instead of laser, because it lasts for life while laser can come back after it's taken a couple of years for the follicles to regenerate. i wouldn't enjoy the regrowth, even if it is a few hairs every day.
update if anything happens!

Hi Alyssa, PCOS, yes maybe, I don't know. I was overweight but I lost those pounds and not all the symptoms are there. I am more likely to just develop like a man. I was told female bodybuilders who take hormones for their muscles undergo the changes I undergo, breasts eliminating their fat tissue (I've got regular tube socks now, just empty bags of flesh, hanging, with my nipples more or less permanently hard) and clitoris growing longer than usual (when it is hard you can see it stick out of my labia). Bodyhair is constant. I need to have another treatment, maybe electrolysis, yes. Alopecia is progressing fast. You can see through my hair all over the top of my head now.
Stay tuned!
Stay tuned!
Got a new meeting with the doctor. I noticed that I plucked out more and more hairs avery day and I stopped plucking for 3 weeks last month. So now I know that they're back, different but back. I havent counted, but I've got a circle around my areolas not very wide but still, strangely enough the rest of my breasts stays more or less free except for a few here and there but there's a carpet growing on my chest, between my breasts!! At least I hope I will have the same nurse. She was nice.
Upper lip: I havent had another laser session since this summer, so I've got light mustache. This wil have to be taken care of too.
Head: I'm losing hair on the sides of my forehead like a man and my parting is really wide. I've counted yesterday how many hairs I've lost in one day and I've counted over 400!
I also finally returned to the gynecologist who has looked into my hormone levels and everything again. She was first very surprised how much fat tissue I had lost in my breasts, she palpated them and that kind of got me aroused and by the time she had finished my clitoris was sticking out in my undies and when she noticed that she had me undress completely and then she went like "whoa we've got a real problem"! She thinks there's something wrong with my adrenal glands. All other symptoms she asked for are there: early pubic hair (I grew my first hairs there when I was 7), acne, irregular periods,... Because of this I have abnormally high testosterone levels. Theres no cure but he says I can have hormonal treatment but it wont give me back my breasts or diminish the size of my clitoris but it might stop its growing and make the hair problem less acute. I'd probably have less chest and facial hair and the balding process would be slowed down, but not stopped. I'm not certain it's worth it. The way she sees it without treatment, my breasts will lose the rest fat tissue there is and my clitoris will grow for a few more millimetres and it will be apparent also when not hard which will bring other practical problems with it, and I will be more or less bald in a few years.

This sounds pretty serious and dramatic
How are you dealing with it?
How are you dealing with it?
I've jsut read all of your posts. WOW!!! Thsi must be hell! I'm scared that this will happen to me too. I'm 16 I've had a very weird puberty, precautious body hair like you (first pubes at 6, armpits at 9, breast at 10, but late and short bereast grouwth (budding at 13 stopped at 15, A cup, small areaolas, no nippels (inverted) and late period (14). My body hair didn"t grow fast over the 1 years so, I"ve had full pubes 'only' when I was 10 and when my breast budded I only had a small circle around the araola. But I've started to grow more breasthair over the last year also between the breasts and also I"m growing hair on my upper lip so I"m worried. I've got an elder sister whose 22. She's had normal puberty and normal breasts (B cup wiht large araola and nippel) and she's got breasthair also but less than I and only a circle around her araola. I dont want to be a freak.
Never knew that it could become this serious!! I'm 32, I've grown hairs around my areolas towards the end of my puberty when I was 15. I've grown a light circle around each, maybe 30-40 hairs on each side, more on the left but my areola there is larger also. I used to pluck them out but I stopped and have become used to them. But I feel sorry for you! Good luck!
I've always (I mean after puberty) had hairs around my areolas but short and more or less fair, between vellus and real hair. My husband loved it by the way. Same for my navel and also for my upperlip. I've never had children and had an early menopause. A couple of years after menopause had started (I was 41 then) I noticed that these hairs started to grow and to get darker and at the same time that my hair on my head got thinner. I'm 47 today and my condition is stable. You can see through my hair but there's no real bald spot it's just that on top of my head my hairs are really thin and there are less of them. I've got darker hair on my upperlip, again not a real mustache but enough to suggest it and which I need to shave each day And above all I've got a circle of hairs around each areola and also hairs in the middle of my chest and around my navel. These hairs are quite long and very noticeable of course. My husband developed a great liking for them so I keep them but I feel weird and I get stares whenever people see me topless.
Hi girls, thanks for sharing. I feel less alone that way. Let me give you an update.
I was back to have the hair removed. On the chest it basically grew strongest where it hadn't been removed last time because it still hadn't fully developed there ,between my breasts. Everything is gone, again. Only one session to go. The nurse was very nice, she took also care of the hair below my navel, reshaping my pubes. This was kind of awkward because I had to strip completely and she had me aroused from the beginning when she was touching my breasts and talking about them, just like last time, so my clitoris was very visible and she said she thought it was awesome, that she once had a gf with a clit like mine. So now I know at least that I got a nibble lol. I think she's kind of testing me and I wonder if I'm not to kiss her next time and see what happens. It feels good to have someone who likes me for being a freak! I've still not taken any hormonal treatment. We've talked it through with my sister. She also thinks that it's only false hope and that the result will be more or less the same. My breasts are ruined anyway and my hair has come to the point where I will need a wig soon. So...

Hi Cindy. I've written here a month ago. I feel sorry for you and am afraid for me. LEt's keep posted. To the one who wrote about her hair growing after 40: how could you possibly get topless!? Id never dare! I've been made fun of at shcool since I can rememberfor my hair, I mean in 5. grade I had full pubes and already hairs around my arreaola but was still copleteley flat. How could you not care that people see your breasthair. I cant go swiming anymore because I"ve got hair between my breasts which you see.
