i have 2 1/2 kidneys im 36, ive known for many years. when i was younger it caused me lots of issues re bladder/incontinence/infections. i had two ureters on my left side coming from the full and the adjoining half kidney as i got older one aparently blocked the issues got better 9helped with the incontenance anyway thank god) but i still get reoccurring urine and kidney infections, and slight urge incontenance its a nightmare. im glad im not the only one with extra organs :-)

now I am relieved, I just discovered that I also have 3 fully working kidneys on my 37th birthday, although my doctor told me that should not be a problem since I don't have health issues yet I was still worried until I saw that page and the number of people share the same issue

Hi! I have three kidneys two on the right, one on the left. I used to get infections a lot and was final told I had three that were all separate but had reflux valves. I had an operation at 12 to correct it, and other than the very occasional infection I have been fine since, I am now 41. I pee a lot too, but only know I need a wee when I get 'back right' pain. My nan had three too, two of hers were attached. There is lots of diabetes in my family (not me though), I figure I will keep hold of all mine until someone in my family needs one!

Let me introduce you to Michael Hermogeno. He’s a 45 year old happily married man with a young family who lives here in Glendale, CA.
He is well liked in his community and enjoys his monster truck and desert explorations as a pastime. His profession is photography with a specialty in the plus size industry. He has also done work in the entertainment industry on the red carpet.

Locally he is actively involved as a leader of Neighborhood Watch and works to educate his neighbors about crime prevention, so that everyone can stay safe and also cooperate with the Glendale Police Dept. in providing vital information about any criminal activity.

What people don’t realize about Michael is that even though he has a positive personality on the outside, something is wrong on the inside. For his young age, he is a ticking time bomb. His body organs are not working properly and the driving force now is to help him achieve a miracle by finding a truly wonderful person who will come forward and give him what he needs.

What Michael is going through is horrendous. His kidneys failed him last summer of 2015 and his heart started acting up aggressively and suffered a heart attack causing him to spend multiple times in Glendale Adventist Hospital. There is nothing much they can do for his heart but it is being controlled with medication. For his kidneys he has dialysis three times a week for 4 hours at a time. Dialysis causes him to feel ill for a couple of days. There is a solution though. This is where the miracle comes in.

Michael needs a kidney donor. If you have two, you could spare one for Michael. Time is running out and he can’t wait the 8-14 years to be on a donor’s list. He needs one NOW as the dialysis is weakening his heart as it puts stress on it.

If anyone is interested in saving his life, please check out the donor packet at: http://transplants.ucla.edu/workfiles/adultkidney/donorInformation_packet_053012.pdf

Any donor can call The UCLA Living Donor Line at 866-672-5333
telling them that you want to donate a kidney to Michael

I am a 58 year old woman who's had kidney infection since the age of 14 I found out in my early forties I too was born with three kidneys but now because of all the infections that I had the two right kidneys are atrophy they don't work and my left kidney has shown scarring from the infection my issue is now I've got back problems so basically I have to be careful about taking steroids or anything else that could help me with my health because it can destroy my kidney and I don't want to live on dialysis where most people would urinate a lot I guess as a child I did not drink enough liquid so I do not even urinate a lot through my life but even less now with one kidney so the only advice that I can give to people with three kidneys is always make sure you take something that's not going to affect your kidneys certain kind of medications things like that do be careful once you start getting stones and infections it's just seems to go from bad to worse when they first discovered mine they told me I had kidney cancer took another specialist to tell me exactly what was going on but my dr. Follows me very carefully and I too I don't take any Tylenol or aspirin I have to do painkillers with less Tylenol anything that can hurt your kidney or your liver you just don't want to do
