YES YES YES I FOUND TWO CURES. Okay so me and my online friend met on a health blog, and we both had this problem for YEARS, smlling smoke when no one else have, so we decided to stay intact in case one of us had a cure. She cured hers first, she had a nasal polyps + gluten sensitivity. Well your probably wondering why gluten sensitivity might cause this, LOOK IT UP. People have misdiagnosed gluten sensitivity without celiac disease. People with celiac or gluten sensitivity have been known to have hallucinations, smell disorders, increased risk of cancer and tumors, anxiety, depression, ocd etc. She cut out gluten and cured her sinus disorders. My cure came 4 months later, PEOPLE ALLERGIC TO PENICILLIN AND MOLD READ THIS: My problem wasn't nasal polyps or food allergies, my problem WAS IN MY HOUSE. I discovered inside my closets and alongside behind my bed there was GREEN MOLD and BLACK MOLD. Read the effects of mold exposure! Hallucinations, cancer, lung+sinus+throat disorders, neurological disorders, and many more! CLEAN YOUR HOUSE, CHECK FOR MOLD, It might save you thousands of $$$ and doctor visits! A week after cleaning mold from my house the weird smoke smells that no one else smelt around me disappeared! Mold spores are invisible, you wouldn't even know your breathing them in, check for those silent killers!

I too have this condition..it started on Sunday and I haven't been able to get rid of it..soooo I had Ct of my brain and sinuses and both were negative.... so made a appointment to see my ENT doctor... He seems to think it is allergies..he told to use a neti pot to flush my sinuses... And to take Claritin... gonna try that to see if that helps..... Also read that it could be your teeth.. So gonna make a dentist appointment too... Haven't seen a dentist in YEARS!!!! Make appointment with a ENT doctor I if u haven't already.... Also read that it will eventually go away from 2 weeks up to 2 yes... good luck..

It has been about five years that I've experienced a strong odor of cigaretts smoke.  It seems like someone is blowing warm smoke up my nostrils.  My eyes sting and burn.  I get headaches in the back of my head from it.  I feel like I'm choking because I can't get a breath of fresh air.  I had a hose up my nose by an ENT and he didn't find anything but prescribed Flonase to cover up the smoke smell.  That just makes me smell cigarette smoke roses.  Yuck!  I'm ready to go the next step and ask my PCP to refer me for further testing.  I'm worried that I have a tumor or have had mini strokes

i too have been smelling smoke for about 5-6 months.  i finally went to the doctor and he said its one of two things; an allergy - in which he gave me a nasal inhaler and told me to take an OTC like Clariton or Zyrtec - if it doesnt seem to clear up in 30 days, to see an ENT.

He says that somewhere between my nose and brain (there is a direct cavity somewhere up there in the nose that leads right to the brain) the smells are getting distorted.  It could be allergy or it could be a problem with the brain.  now i did have some post nasal drip and i have been a lifetime allergy sufferer so im hoping thats all it is.

I had the smoke smell. I stopped using butter and it went away. It might not work for everyone, but it did for me.

Please go to your doctor and report all of your symptoms. From research that I had read, the headaches and vision could mean a brain tumor is present.

I take Zyrtec everyday as well, have been for going on 3 years. But I just recently started smelling smoke. I had a ridiculous cold in May and since then I feel my sense of smell and taste are different. The smoke smell is weird-I just decided to google it tonight and lo and behold!! --so many things popped up. I thought I was crazy!! Not sure how long I'll let this go on...otherwise I am healthy.

I am smelling smoke too all the time! I am so relieved finding all these posts now I don't feel weird. The kind of smoke I am always smelling is burning. Wherever I go. And sometimes it even feels like its irritating my eyes and that I a suffocating. I just smelled smoke a minute ago & my eyes started burning too and a little bit suffocated, that is why I searched. It's gone now. I have always been a smoke hater because I can't breath whenever there is smoke so I am very sensitive of the smell. I can't remember when the problem started, but I know its has been more than a year now.

I begin smelling smoke in 2014, the smell was so strong that it would choke me, make my nose and throat burn and cause me to cough. I told my daughter about it while we was traveling to Flordia. As I was telling her, she was pulling it up online. It said it could me some sickness was in my body, I continued my trip, but when I returned home and was walking into work one morning I could not breathe. This went on for a week, by that Sunday I was in the hOspital with congestive heart failure. After I was treated for it I didn't have that smell again until now. But this time it's a smell of something burning. So aggravating worse than the cigarette smell. So I am going back to the doctor to make sure I am fine.
