Has anybody been tested for Ankylosing Spondolitis? Its an immune disorder that attacks your spinal cord. It also affects the nerves.
im 13 and i haave the same thing and it reallly hurts what should i do i never got hurt before and i am in gymnastics but when i do gym the pain goes away should i keep doing gym or not ? thanks
perhaps you have a bulging disc in your neck and it is pressing against a nerve which radiates along your shoulder blade down your arm . do you feel any tingling or numbness in your hands? an mri may be what you need to find out the source of your pain.usually the pain from these conditions take several months to go away on their own.
So much pain displayed here. Please go get a massage from a trained massage therapist. Specifically a neuromuscular therapist or one trained in myofascial release
hey thanks for the advice it worked for me! I have been dealing with the same pain for oil over a week! that stretch worked really well
I am seventeen and female. I have been suffering the same sharp stabbing pain under my right shoulder blade since around Thanksgiving of 2011 so a little over a year. I did competative cheerleading for eight years but the pain didn't start until after I stopped when my coach moved. With me it only ever occurs when I am laying down it makes no difference if I'm on a side, my back, or my stomach. It will go away after a few minutes when I sit up. When I first lay down it usually takes a few minutes before it starts anywhere from 10 min to an hour. Pain meds don't seem to help and the pain makes it hard to fall asleep at night. I have gone through several purses and while the one I used when the pain started was usually on my right shoulder the one after that put its weight on both shoulders and my current one puts the weight on my left shoulder. I have never smoked or had surgery. I can't imagine why it only hurts while I'm laying down but reading through some of the other posts the only ones that makes any sense is a pinched nerve, or torn ligament that won't heal. I'll continue to muscle through it for now and ask my doctor next time I see her if this doesn't turn up any results.
I should also mention that I don't get any of the numbness or tingling in my hand some of the others mention
Ive had this for years and years and years but its getting worse to were I have to lay down. Pain gets so bad it tingles.
So I finally saw a doctor for it and she said it was weak back muscles to to do specific excorsizes. But they hurt. Its cause by sitting long periods of time, being at your work desk looking down at what your working on and slouching. I guess it makes your muscles week
Ive done contruction and hard labor off and on since I was 14,. I started working on cars at 16 and still do when I can buy it fix it and sell it. I stoped doing construction at age 21 because I always over worked myself, then got a job as a movie which still i over worked myself
I'm 5'6'', 135 pounds and almost 25 now and the pain just kills me. I have to go lay down soon, Ive taken cheap ass muscle relexers from my doctor but didnt help
Hi twosticky, i have had the same experience for the past one week. I doctor put on some antibiotics (Duramox 500/ Amoxycillin 500mg capsules) and there is tremendous improvement. Doctors treat and God heals. All the best.
Hi, I have had the same pain for 20 years. I was a teen when it started. It has gotten worse at some points where its hard to breathe or it feels like its caught on something and I can't move until it gets unstuck. I do have slight scoliosis and the docs think it may be from that. They said something about a concave of my spine to the left and the left is where it hurts. I have had my gallbladder out, have diabetes 2, pcos, low thyroid, high blood pressure and migraines oh and stress headaches. I wonder what other ailments we all suffer from that link us together. I have had back surgery on my L4 and L5 for herniated discs (after the shoulder blade pain started) and degenerative disc disease at the L4, L5, and S1.
My Doctor told me any pain that radiates from neck to arm must be checked for heart trouble.
Sure nuff I needed a stient.
I had the problem about 6 months ago and ended up dealing with it for about a month. It did go away, but this past week, it came back with a vengence and I ended up in the ER. I too had to have a stent put in and am going to go back to the cath lab again tomorrow.
Did you ever find out what was causing your pain. My girlfriend has what sounds like the identical issue.
I'm 15 years old, and I have been the same kind of pain in my left shoulder as well, but for well over two years now. I asked my mom (She's a nurse) but she said it was nothing. My friend said it might be a sprained shoulder. Any comments/advice?
