Skin Biology Lacsal Serum (Dissolves protein of folliculitis and ingrown hairs)
After going through Menopause and for at least five years, I have had folliculitis and stiff, ingrown hairs on my upper lip area. Skin Biology Lacsal Serum has completely dissolved the folliculitis, so the hairs are exposed! Previously I have had laser, taken Progesterone, Estrogen, topical Progesterone Cream, Spironolactone, Metformin, Clindamyacin Gel applied topically and also Clindamyacin and Doxycycline antibiotics taken internally, Benzoyl Peroxide, and numerous other topical treatments.
Quite by accident, I found mention of Lacsal Serum and that it could help dissolve the proteins of folliculitis. Within two days, my folliculitis was being dissolved, and I am now getting electrolysis to permanently eradicate this nightmare I have been experiencing.

10th April 2014
I am currently on Doxycycline for the past year and having good results.
At my last 3 Derm Appt's my scalp has been 'inactive'.
The hairloss , if increasing , is doing so very slowly. I am able to have hair cuts.
Ive had the condition since '06 , so 8 years in 2014.
My only sympton was itching and hairloss around the crown.
I am lucky..but scared of the future.
I had facial and scalp folliculitis - eyes eyebrows around mouth. I used high dose bactroban and then added terrasil which has zinc silver magnesium. I was very generous with the bactroban and terrasilver. Also I cleaned out the fat covered hair and hair clumps using finger nails and tweezer. These make the topical get to the roots. Also most generous creams after a shower when my skin is very dry and I don't use any other cream. I used 8 x 15 gram bactroban in a month! Lesions spread and got worse as staph died en mass. Took a long time to remove freak hairs and hair clumps. I took Naproxin before this debridement as it was very painfull. Also kleanex soaked in blood and puss. I did this several times a day as more debris was produced. Clean lesion before every time applying bactroban so at least 3x a day. Also rub in so hard that heat is generated to penetrate the hair roots. Scalp I used finger nails and the sense of feel to clean the lesion as I could not see. Each fat covered hair must be removed but it takes a lot of time. I do have a bald spots in beard and eye brows now. Terrasil seems very effective also. I did not combine them as I did not have the Terrasil until bactroban month ended. So it is maintenance and prevention. Mine staph had 8 years to spread and also to neck. So it can be deep and larger than just the lesions. It gets worse before it gets better. Also time consuming to clean and remove hair. I used a mini flashlight to see my tweezer pick out thousands of hairs. If that sliver in the skin feeling is there it means there is a hidden hair deeper that needs to be removed.
I have had Folliculitis Decalvan on my Scalp for about 9 years (I am 29yrs old), I have been on minocycline 100mg for about 7 years and only recently my bumps and cysts have started to come back, I have had 1 sebaceous cyst removed in this time duration as well, I have had numerous raised keloid scars on my scalp due to FD as well.
What I wanted to say though, in response to people saying that once the scalp looses hair due to FD then the hair does not grow back. In my case that is not entirely true, where my hair has been left bald due to FD, my hair HAS grown back, not on all the scars/hair loss patches, but I'd say for every 10 patches big or small that left scars or patches, 7 have grown back with hair. I even have very large raised Keloid scars on my scalp with hair on them full of hair on them from when it was left bald but grew back and now I have about 8 keloid scars on scalp with full hair on them.
Hi, Jopalo here,
It's been over a year now that I started using the Oxiderm PS, and I am still doing well keeping my follicultis being manageable. I have had a few pustules pop up here and there, but nothing that I could not deal with and did not immediately get resolved with using the shampoo. I have tried a few no sulfate shampoos over the past year just testing the waters to see if it was the incredients in the Oxiderm or the fact that it was the no sulfate formula. I think the best thing for my condition was to stop using the harsh sulfates. The other shampoos without sulfates have left me fine. I will not be going back to any shampoo with sulfates as an incredient for sure, and I continue to use Oxiderm anytime I feel a bump coming up.
I really do hope that each of you finds something that works. I don't take my "remission" for granted, and I worry about it coming back, but for now, I am just thankful. Good luck to you all. I really mean that.
Just found this website. I'm a 30 year old male. I've been diagnosed with LPP but I think I actually have FD. I've had symptoms for about 7-8 years. First I started to have these painless bumps on the top of my head, and eventually noticed some hairloss. I've been on and off doxycycline since then. At first I would be able to stop antibiotics and have long periods of no symptoms, but the flare ups in the past 3 years or so have been really severe with lots of bleeding and oozing bumps and severe scalp pain and I haven't been able to come off the meds. It is a really frustrating condition especially when it comes to dating. I think frequent showering (2x/day) and blow drying afterwards, head and shoulders, and sunlight helps, but without being on antibiotics my scalp is just out of control. At one point I was maintaining on just tea tree oil shampoo, but that stopped working and I couldn't use it too much anyway because it was very irritating. Clobetasol solution works but things just come back even worse when I stop using it. I hope this helps someone and more of us post our experiences with FD. I'll try to come back here and post with any updates.
Gentleman, is this an international brand, as I live in India. Could you post a photo of the container of the shampoo. I am pestered by folliculitis since last 25 years, though not the intensity you described. My age is 65 years. Thanks for the lead. Shall try, please post the address of the manufacturer , and if in USA, I could locate the product.

I've had folliculitis for 10 years. Ive tried everything and have been to every dermatologist around. For last 4 years ive managed it with mometasone furoate. Once a week a put liquid on scalp and sleep in it. It has worked wonders.
I can so relate to you. I feel the same exact way. Have you had any luck? I've even had laser hair removal on my scalp to "burn out" the disease earlier, but now the scalp is all red, dry and damaged. I still get deep painful white heads across my scalp. I've suffered for the past 10 years or so and I can see no end in sight.
The pain is very distressing but my dermatologist is now blaming it as a neurological cause. I've tried Lyrica to no avail, so I still believe it has to do with my hair follicles somehow. (I still have hair follicles scattered around, but I'm afarid to continue the laser route)
