Okay well i have tanned yall my life and i am getting these raised bumps after i tan and they itch there always between my boobs and my stomach i dont lay on my stomach so i know its not from the beds not being clean. I dont know what they are and since reading this im thinking there heat bumps? I dont sweat in the tanning bed though, we have really good fans. They go away within the 24 hours but they always come back. Anyone know what this is? Its not a bubble to where i can pop it there is nothing in them its just raised skin that itches.
I hadn't tanned in a while, went tanning in a stand up booth three days ago. Today I have the little itchy bumps. As far as I can tell it's realted to a heat rash. I get them when I am out in the sun too long as well and burn before I tan.
I have been tanning for about 4 days now. I started out with 15 min to get more than I should have so I could darken faster. I got a little pink my first day then my second day went about ten min and got a little more burnt. So I skipped a day. I tanned the following day and today. Ididn't notice anything different when I got out of the tanning bed. I run everyday after tanning. As I was running I noticed myself itching between my breasts. When I got back home I took my shirt off to see and I had a huge patch of these under the skin bumps. They itch so bad!!! I figured it was heat bumps because I get small ones on my thighs in the summer. But these are really big. It freaked me out so I had to google it. I don't tan in the tanning bed often but when I do I either peel or spot and now this happens!!! I can't wait for summer. I hope I dont have cancer. When will it go away???
I think im going to my dr. asap.. ive been tanning for years, im half native american and I came out of the tanning bed and the next day. I had flash burns on parts of my body,, then tan , an then noting in spots, I started iching a day later, and thought omg im peeling , how can this be.. now Ive had bumps on my back and lower back for over a week now.. im seeing many posts with this problem , ive not heard of this with so many people with the same porb. I could see if u had a prob from your meds.. but this many people with the same reaction.. I really think it would be good for all of us to seek a dr.s help. this does not sound rite..and it should not be going on so long,, I would also sug u call the place u went tanning and see if others have complained about this prob.. good luck to all of us..
I know what all of you are going through. Me too. I have been tanning for years and have my own tanning bed and keep it exceptionally clean. I also get small blisters right below my tail bone on my butt. Same place everytime. Don't scratch it!!! It will get worse if you do. I try to keep it dry with powder, lotion seems to make it worse. What I did find that works pretty well is what we women use for a yeast infection, which sounds like this may be fungal. Mine will start three days after tanning then the three little blisters show up. Three days after that it gets all scabby and dry, which I still use powder and monistat. It usually goes away in 7 to 10 days from blister to scab. If I happen to go swimming, it seems to go away faster, which with the chlorine the pools are treated with, again points me in the direction of fungal. I'm by no means a Dr. but I guess we all keep trying things to make this issue better. One thing I do try to do is I tan with a wash cloth under my butt for about 3 tanning sessions, then I go without a washcloth, sometimes it come back, sometimes it waits a few tanning sessions, but it ALWAYS comes back. If anyone has any other suggestions or ideas, please let me know and I will post again if I find something that really works.
I got bumps similar to what you all have been discussing, only most of mine have been on my arms, elbows, and fingers. They are just developing so they might spring up somewhere else as well though. Anyone else experienced this in these areas?
Hi, i am a guy, and my girlfriend convinced me to go tanning with her one time, i went about two days ago. this was my first time ever in a tanning bed, and the lady told me to go for the full maximum 20 minutes to get GREAT results, i did not know that your first time was suppose to be a minimum of 10 minutes, i told the lady it was my first time and she still insisted on me going for the full twenty, after getting out of the tanning bed, i was extremely red all over, and i was really itchy. it is now 3 days later and im still breaking out in red bumps and the itching is getting worse. Back, arms, neck, legs, face, and hands. anyone know why this is happening? i have read that the rash and itching should have disappeared after 24hours. it is now 3 days later and the problem is progressing and getting worse.
I have the same problem. Witch Hazel really helps the irritation .. sorta a cooling affect a long with it. A few hours after applying said topical, the bumps have appeared smaller. Hope this helps!
Ive been tanning for about 2 weeks now and recently have noticed i have these painful bumbs next to my elbow. im not sure what its from or what has caused it but id like some answers. if someone could give me advice on whati should do or any clues to what it could be . please let me know. Thanks :-)
I get two welps on the back of my shoulder blades. They are red and very itchy! I know im not allergic to the beds or my lotion because it would be everywhere on my body instead of the same place everytime. They usually go away within a day, but are very annoying while they are still there! Is it dangerous to keep going everyday? Would it be possible to just wipe of that spot when i think im sweating? would that help?
I also have these red, itchy bumps from going to the tanning bed, I have found it could vary well be a fungus or heat rash. I have found the best way to treat then for my self is: 1) if it is a fungus or heat rash wash or shower in luke warm water and wash with T-Gel shampoo( it is a anitfungle) and helps with the inching also take some bennadryl, and stay out of the tanning beds for a couple of days. you will find that after a couple of days of not going your red rash tends to dimishes.:-P
I itch on the back of my heels and in between my breasts on my chest and my butt. What about the tanning does this???
Hi, I have been tanning on and off for a couple years now. I have kinda sensitive skin and I get red itchy bumps too. They itch really bad and I get red all around it and sometimes gets a little swollen for a couple hours. I have came to the conclusion that it is a heat rash or that im allergic to the cleaning stuff they put on the beds. I get the bumps on my back and by my elbows. I guess the areas that mostly lie on the bed.... What helps me is just don't tan for so long.. go every other day, let your body heal and don't over do it.. Lotion and drink water. this will help
I have the same problem. I have tanned 3 times in the past week and I have bumps on my belly every time. They pop up after I have been out of the bed for about an hour or so. I just took a benadryl and rubbed some Aveeno Anti-Itch cream on the area and it is helping a little so far. I am going to Vegas for my anniversary next month and I really wanted to have a good tan before I go.....Does anyone know if they will eventually quit popping up, or will I always have to deal with a welted up belly everytime I tan!?!?
Whenever I'm away from the sun for awhile, and then spend a large amount of time in it, i tend to break out with itchy red bumbs. They go away though the more my body gets used to the sun and the temperature that my skin comes in contact to.
