I just had the same dots on my hands this week. and today I woke up with more of them on my fingers.  After reading online and talking to my wife about it......  .....I think it has to do with the convetional toxic hand soap my wife bought ten days ago.  So I will switch back to Kirks Castle brand natural Coconut soap.  I have had this happen before untill and kept switching back to Kirks Castle, but now I now for sure not to use soaps with toxic ingredence.

hi everybody,

I am also suffering from this problem. It happened exactly one day after examining the hand of a boy near my hands . so it is probably contyagious but not erveryone contracts it. I found that by immersing my hand in warm salt water the itching is considerably reduced and as I am living in kerala the land of ayurveda, I am sure that there must be a remedy for it somewhere in ayurvedi books and if I find something I will post it here.

I have had the same thing for years now, each year in the same place (the backside of my hands between the wrist and thumb/first finger) I've NEVER had anything even remotely like this until I met my ex, who had started experiencing it after coming back from the middle east in the 90's. He went to the VA hospital down where he was enlisted at Camp Pendleton, and even THEY couldn't tell him what it was....so we started calling it "Camel Funk". The doctors would prescribe Lamisil tablets, but they can be hell on your liver, so he was prescribed Lamisil in a spray (pump, not aerosol) Of course it seemed to work because it ended up being exactly what we figured it was, but was constantly told it wasn't... Eczema. I finally paid up the nose to see a dermatologist who could only give me a probable yes on it, because it took so darn long to get in to see her, that there that it had healed up by the time I went in. Not really a whole lot you can do but live with it throughout it's cycle, however long that usually is for you. I do know there definitely is some temperature/weather factor to it, especially when muggy and warm, and that's when it itches the most (because of the moisture in the air) The itching seems to fade as the afftected skin dries, which is likely why polish remover seems to help, but that's not particularly good for your skin on a regular basis. I've found that "Afterbite Xxtra" (by the makers of the bug bite stick of the same name) works REALLY well at the itching and the length of time it remains because of the ammonia.

Ok, I've read everything posted so far. I have the small, clear INCREDIBLY itchy bumps between the fingers on both hands, but it has spread now to ring the upper part of both thighs and worked up my hands and arms as well. Also, my wife started getting the same small clear bumps on her hands around a week after mine showed up. I am uninsured so going to the doctor is not an option unless i've lost a limb or swallowed cyanide. lol. but from some of the other sites i've checked, the doctors don't know what the hell this is either. i've found that the bumps themselves will shrink down and stop itching for the most part if i apply a cold compress. My bumps have no red on or around them (unless i've been scratching them or i've scratched them open so they're bleeding), just skin tone bumps with clear liquid in them. they stop spreading for the most part so long as i don't scratch, but they haven't gone away.

Hi everyone, I also have had this problem for many years now, im pretty sure its hereditary as my mother also has the same issue, it always starts with a tingling sensation usually on the inside of my fingers on the left hand, the more I scratch it the worse it gets, after 1-2 days the tingle has turned into a unbearable non stop itch and all of the insides of my fingers have turned red, in some instances the itching almost turns to burning sensation and funnily enough the only thing that seems to relieve the itching for a very short period is very hot water!! 1-2 days after this nightmare the red itching has turned to hundred/maybe thousands of tiny little blisters which cover almost the entire set of fingers of my left hand, so much so that sometimes I can’t even bend my fingers due to the swelling! Iv tried courses of anti biotics, iv tried steroid creams for eczema, none seem to touch it. At this precise moment in time my hand has been tingling for about 1.5 days now and insides of the fingers have turned red, only thing I can do is try not to scratch!! :(

I have had a problem with the dry-looking "blisters" and peeling skin  on my fingers for 20 years . I have discovered that eating about a pound of almonds a weeks "cures" it, so it must be a deficiency or a metabolic thing. Try eating almonds 3-4 times daily for a month and see if it helps anyone. Please post if you do get results!

Hello my people!!!! Oh how relieved I am to find others who share this problem.  The only thing better would be to find a solution.  I read one post where it was suggestion to use finger nail polish remover so I just did that, we'll see... Anyway I'm curious about triggers, ie heat, stress, humidity, etc.  I'll start with my experiences.  First, I am right handed and this occurs on my right hand.  I am a 41 yr old female and it only started bothering my in the last 2 years or so but these last few months it has been pretty constant.  It absolutely on effects my middle finger and ring finger but mostly my ring finger.  It starts with a mild irratation and turns to extreme itching, the sorta blistery then the skin hardens and peels all in a matter of 2-3 days.  Last week I but antibacterial cream and cover each finger with bandages over night and most of the day removing bandages for a couple of hours prior to recovering and starting over this seemed to help almost cleared it all up but now i feel it starting up again.  I have been feeling stress over work and wonder since i was off last week and just started back if that's not part of it.  What do you guys think?

it is most likely just old skin going away so new layers of skin can form

dishydrotic excema. I had this so bad my hands would crack & bleed. I wore white cotton gloves soaked in a mixture of keri bath oil and dombreo astringent and water. Took a week to heal and it never came back. Yes I looked stupid wearing those gloves but healing was worth it. It's stress induced for me.

I have a had this on my right index finger knuckle for 15 years now, comes and goes, itches like freaking crazy. A few scattered Little bumps in a small confined area on the side of my knuckle.
It really itches then the skin drys out, cracks etc... and goes a way for a while

I had this come on just before my vacation to cobo, so I brought lots of lotion. Once in cobo san lucus I was amazed that it went away within a week of being there. Every other time I have had a bought of this c**p it lasts for a month to several months.

When I got home from my two week vacation it was completely gone for 3-4 months and then it came back again, I thought what did I do in Cobo that could effect this in that way.

I figured out that I was swimming every day in highly chlorinated water, so I tested this out. Rather than using lotion to moisturize the problem to death I use Laundry Bleach in a small bottle used to apply acid tone to plexiglass. The bottle has a long thin tube to allow very precise applications.

I used the bleach on the spot for a week but withing two days I had already noticed an improvement so I knew I was on the right track. I used the bleach until it went away. It still comes back but I blast it with some bleach and away it goes.

Iv found a cure!!! Iv post about this about 6 months ago, been suffering with this problem for around 10 years, and this week iv finally found a cure....... Eumovate cream, it was my gf's cream she used for dermatitis on her legs but with different symptoms, i started getting the tingling between the fingers on sunday, the itching burning on monday, started using the cream monday night and now thursday night and all of my symptoms have disappeared! not a single bubble in site and itching and redness have all gone! cream costs like 5-6 quid and its so worth it, now i dont have to put up with swollen itching beyond belief fingers!! :)

i can appreciate that everyone reacts differently to creams and have different skin types, but its worth a go for all you sufferers.
give it a go when the symptons first kick off, apply just before bed time and let it settle into your skin overmight (remains sticky) and reapply in the morning, and also try not to rub or scratch!

Hi I've been dealing with this for a good 15 years. I am very particular with every product I use, non-fragranced, organic products are generally pretty mild, and always wear rubber gloves when using any cleaning or chemical products. When my hands get really bad I use zims crack cream for FEET (as it has alot more moisturizer in it) and a bit of lanacane cream to stop the itching on affected areas ( can be bought over the counter) and wear cotton gloves over night. Do not use vasaline as the petroleum smothers your hands and makes them worse. Mary Kays night emollient mixed with zims is amazing. The night emollient is a pink Vaseline like cream, and is extremely moisturizing. Wash hands before applying the creams( I use shea butter soap, as it's natural and mild.) Although using hot water feels good because it stops the itch it is extremely drying on the hands, cold water takes the swelling down a little but Luke warm is best. I even wear my gloves out in winter under my mittens, the only time my hands are exposed are at work. Hope this helps, has took me 15 years to find something that works for me but alas this is my "night mask" fOr better hands...
