:-(I have experienced the same type of problem. I also have quite a big dilemma now considering what I've done. I'm only 25 and about 4 years a go I got a small bump between the inner and outter labia on the left that had grown to be grape sized but has never caused me any pain. My qyno who I'd seen several times since aquiring the lump and had told me it was no big deal and needed to be removed by a dermatologist. I dont have medical insurance and decided recently I'd try to take care of it on my own. I poked it and squeezed it until I thought there was nothing left and the next day the area was swollen up so large(maybe 4x the size it had been) Now I am under extreme pain in hopes it will go down and I'll once again having a normal vagina I am comfortable with! I'm taking some antibiotics and motrin...do I need to go in and see a physician? Please help did I make matters worse it sure feels like it!!! I can barely walk. Will this go down? :-(
You all might check with your doctors to see if you have
hidradenitis suppurativa - you can google it for description and to see pics to see if it looks like what you are experiencing.
I've never had any lumps or anything unusual in my area down there until this past weekend. It started off as a minor irritation that I thought might be from wearing a lacy thong. It turned into a pea sized hard lump by Monday morning. It is red, but does not appear to have any pus or look like its about to burst. I've noticed it feels better after a hot shower or bath, but have not tried any home remedies because I'm concerned with using any type of treatment down there without first consulting a doctor (whom I will be seeing this weekend).

Other than some recent stress with school and birth control, which I recently started taking for my very first time, I don't know what else could explain the lump. Could the birth control be the cause? I am taking the generic of Yasmin. Is this the case for anyone else? Also, I started the HPV vaccine last year, but never finished. Could this be related?
I am glad to hear I am not the only one with this. I currently have a small red lump on my left labia minora and today it started to be more itchy and more painful. I have an appointment with the OB/GYN tomorrow to get it looked at. I was worried it might be herpes, but I'm 33, been with the same man for 6 years, and have tested clean every single time I've been tested. This is the first time I've experienced one of these things.

I recently went through the stress of childbirth and am now going through the stress of being a first time mom. I've been struggling with the transition and believe I am experiencing a little post partum depression. Anxiety levels are high. I assume that the stress combined with being in a rush when I am wiping (baby is often crying) has left me prone to one of these. Anyone else experience one of these following labour?
