I hate to say I have them. But not as severe as it was last year. I was perfectly clear in that area during the previous winter of 2010 and now its hitting me again. So I'm taking action by drinking 15 glasses of water a day, exercising, and eating apples each day. Maybe you should give that a go. Also don't sit on seats too long, you want your pores to breathe. That's probably how the pores become clogged and get irritated by lack of breathing. Try doing running exercises to get your blood going. Eliminate sugars, pop, candy, all sorts of sweets and caffeine. Increase water intake and fruit consumption for moderate to severe breakouts. Pro acne killing machine, I despise it greatly. I also heard that water fasting will clear acne. Eat cereal during the morning like you normally do since it gives you all the nutrients you need. Do not consume anything other than water until dinner at least. For dinner meals eat a salad or a light soup. Follow this method for a month and see where you stand out. Good luck!

i have the same problem. i'm going to try a few different remedies, but one way to blend the scarring is to lay in the sun. If you can find a private place to tan, it will tone out the skin colour. plus it lets the pores breathe. :-D

Neosporin -- the original one, not the one with pain relief -- all the way, for any pimples, anywhere. A dab and a bandaid overnight really reduces the swelling caused by the bacteria that irritates the skin (I usually cut the bandaid down so as little sticky parts are on them as possible, so sensitive skin doesn't decide to flare up where the sticky part comes in contact with my skin, and I wash the areas in contact with the adhesive well in the morning and apply Aquaphor to the washed areas to prevent drying). Not only is the pain drastically reduced, but it decreases healing time, thus getting rid of those suckers faster and reducing any scarring if you "accidentally" give in to popping them. I'm glad to see that others have found this method as well! It's been my secret go-to for over a decade and never fails me. Bigger pimples require several treatments. Good luck!

I'm a girl, and I just popped a giant one on my butt...it made a sound. Very little puss, lots of blood. I'm unsure if its a boil or not.

It is all the same thing, usually you get what looks like a pimple on your butt and thighs and its really deep and feels like a quarter size if not more is swollen and full of puss. They are filled with puss and blood, I've had it randomly for the past few years as well as my dad and little brother too. We've also ben told it's three different things because no doctor apparently knew. It is a skin disease. It is a staph infection, my cousin ended up getting it and went to her doctor who told her it was a staph infection and they gave her meds for it, im not sure what but then they went away and she hasnt gotten them back yet. I advise anyone who gets these to see a doctor and get medicine for a staph infection. I just got another ne a couple days ago and I'm going to the doctor asap so I can get rid of it. I also advise that you clean your hands constantly and even use hand sanitizer. These infections are contagious. Ive had mine drained before and yes it does get rid of all the c**p but the best thing is to take care of it as a staph infection, draining it isnt the best solution. You'll need triple antibiotic ointment or possibly antibiotic pills if its that bad. If you type in "staph infection" in google images you will see them and see what they can turn into so you definitely want to take care of it right away! Hope this helps!

OK. I have dealt with this for many years, going on 20 or so. They appeared right around puberty and have been with me ever since.
Finally I decided to do some research about it and I have come up with a solution that has seemed to work. I'm early into the treatment and I saw results in as little as one day - around 12 hours or so.
You may not like the cost associated, as I just spent about $40USD on it, but it was well worth the results thus far.
I went to my neighborhood Walgreens and picked up the following:
1. Grisi Sulphur Soap. Its a bar of soap that treats acne. Cost: $5.00 or so
2. De La Cruz 10% Sulphur Ointment. It also treats acne, blemishes, blackheads and the like. Cost: $0.99.
3. "StaphAseptic" First aid antiseptic/pain reliving gel. Cost: $12.00
4. Tinactin Antifungal Spray. Cost: $9.00
5. Lotrimin AF Antifungal Spray. Cost: $900
The whole idea behind all of these products is that this condition is difficult to treat because there is more than 1 cause for the pimples. It can be sweat/oil clogging pores: this leads to an acne based reason, or even a fungal issue. It can be an allergy to detergents: though I've never heard of anyone having that particular issue, thats possible and easily fixed by switching to something dye & fragrance free and mild. It could be a staph infection. Antibiotics do not fix this issue, and honestly, no amount of anti-acne stuff has done a lick of good. I've tried 10% peroxides, body washes, astringents, scrubs, creams and lotions - you name it. I still have the problem. Over the past 20 years I've tried just about anything for acne. However, in doing some research (and I was coming to this conclusion anyway), it may not be acne... but it might. so let me tell you the steps I'm taking and its providing me some results. YMMV.
1. I start out by using the Grisi Sulphur Soap. It is a bar soap that you leave on for 10 minutes. Don't skimp on the time. Its also a good way to clean the area. It smells nice, doesn't sting, and its apparently good for acne. Just in case this is an acne issue, I use the sulphur soap.
2. Next, with a clean and freshly washed towel, I blot dry (no rubbing) and apply the StaphAseptic gel. I put it on all over, liberally, but don't overdo it. Its a lot like Neosporin and the like, so I don't want to be sticky all day.
3. Then, I use the Tinactin spray. Yes, Tinactin is for athlete's foot. But, Athlete's Foot is a fungal infection. If you read specifically on the can, it will also state that its for 'Jock Itch,' which makes it safe for the groin area. I spray that all over the infected area. For me, since I've had the condition so long, its spread a bit to my inner thighs as well. Anywhere I see an issue, I use the spray. I let that air dry for a couple of minutes.
4. Lotrimin spray is next. The reason why I use 2 different anti-fungal products is that if you check the active ingredients in both, they have 2 different chemicals listed. One treats a certain number of fungal infections; the other treats another set. While both chemicals are equally effective on the same types of fungus, I don't take any chances. Again, YMMV, but I prefer to cover all bases. I like the Lotrimin spray because it dries to a whitish powder.
5. After the Lotrimin is dry, I apply the De La Cruz Sulpher ointment. Sometimes I will apply the ointment before the lotrimin depending on how much time I have. The ointment is sticky. It will eventually dry but its very, very sticky.
After a day, I saw a big difference. I hope this helps.

In 2008 I started noticing that my butt was starting to sweat. I was 40 at that time so perhaps a life change or something. With the sweating then came the under the skin pimples that could not be squeezed though I did try with no success and much pain. These pimples were irritating, sore and uncomfortable. I don't sweat all the time and seems to happen from time to time for long durations which is bothersome. I wear cotton underwear that are loose and wear loose fitting pants. I clean the area by gently scrubbing and have used alcohol wipes from time to time. The worst things is over the course of this 2 years each breakout has turned into a blemish that will not go away. It is embarrassing to have them and I would not want them seen, even by my wife who understands but I still don't feel good about them. I have visited my doctor that game me a cream that was unsuccessful. What makes things worse is I sit at a desk for my work for 8+ hours and the sweating when it happens cannot be stopped. I'm at my wits ends with this; literally.

I have this problem as well.. only they don't seem to be pimples like some of the other people think.. these things are DEEP and after saying that I will tell you how I sometimes get rid of them.. What I do is probably not the safest thing in the world but I take a pin.. They come to be about 1-2 inches depending on the size of the zit thing and heat them up with a lighter..just to sterilize.. Then I push the pin through and pull it out I then squeeze the zit and a huge amount of puss and blood comes out then I can spray blood like a fountain for a while..i then clean it with anti-zit wipes and put a little neosporin on it

I've actually had this problem since freshmen year and it stopped showing up sophomore year but started showing up again just this last week.
People tell me it's stress and sitting on my butt too much.
My brother researched it and he says it's Stapholoccus Infection.
I've gone to my doctors and all they did was give me antibiotics. My mother would pop the pimples after they're ready to be popped but I believe they will come back after you pop them but they hurt like a b***h so what alternatives would work?
They are so bad that they made me insecure about wearing a bathing suit or even shorts because scars and dark spots of previous pimples spread down to my leg. They even make me think about killing myself..

I popped one of these one time, and like brownish liquid squirted out. a lot of it. Completely sickening, the swelling went down but it was still a little sore. I cant sit down at all hardly, standing while using the bathroom sucks.
