Thank goodness it's not just me. I've never had this happen before and I was starting to freak out thinking something was wrong with me.

The gooey discharge also happens to me but it never stops , I'm going to be 17. My mom says its normal but I have it almost everyday , I have to change everyday because my underwear would be wet and every time I go to the restroom and I wipe , I see the long gooey stuff , I am not sexually active. It's rare when I don't have it sometimes it would stop for a couple of weeks but then it comes back and it's rare when it would stop .

I experience the exact same thing and I've read that it's a sign of ovulation and is normal. You should be fine

Yes I agree with you... I just recently stopped using my birth control last month and I'm experiencing this discharge now for the last few days... I think it's definitely something to do with hormonal ovulation times, but the build up and body's natural way of releasing that is also possible.

I'm experiencing the exact same thing. I was on birth control for about 8 months now. Around the 6th month they switched my brand which made it irregular so I decided to stop using it for a month and then continuing but bedore I went back on it I started getting the same discharge. Was wondering what it was!

So you're saying that this happens once the semen is trying to reach the egg?

You're definitely wrong. Barthalone cysts have to be assured by a dr and drained out. They do not go away on their own nor do they put off a gooey discharge. I know from experience. When you have a barthalone cyst you can feel the difference between both side of the vagina lips. They will feel swollen, if one is swollen and not the other it means that you only have one clogged gland. What she's talking about seems more like ovulation which happens just like that. Thick gooey long like snot type of discharge. Happens to me all the time. Except inhave 3 kids under the age of 3.
