Why you eat junk food? The more you smoke the more you eat so you mix natural with gmo and now you have problems.
Laziness comes with smoking to much and too often. More you eat more you need to work out.
Ahh.. who am i kidding... Gonna smoke, eat some munchies and watch some TV on my comfy couch.
May be something they grow in, with, or add.
But just getting my head round quitting and seeing life the same way.....
I usually don't post on web sites, but this is important so wanted to share my story. I'm 53. I started using marijuana when I was 48, buying it at a dispensary in Colorado. I don't like to smoke, so I bought gummies. I really enjoyed the gummies. So much so, that I started buying the weed itself and making my own cookies and brownies.
I was fine for some time, especially when my use was once a month or every 2 weeks. However, I then started eating the stuff every day. During the summer of my 49th year I started getting stomach cramps, bloating, and heartburn. Also, I just started feeling off, not well at all. I went to the doctor who said it was an ulcer. So started taking PPI which did help. However, I didn't stop the cookies and brownies. After another 6 months I started getting the same issues, only worse. I kept my habit up and it kept getting worse. Had an endoscopy and colonoscopy and both were fine, with exception that I learned I now had GERD. I'm certain it was caused by my habit. However, I used for another 6 months or so and finally came across this site somehow - thanks GOD! I was to the point of absolute misery! My stomach issues were really bad, but the worst of it was how awful I felt. I never wanted to get up and do anything!
So 10 months ago I quit using altogether, cold turkey. Also stopped drinking (thought I usually only had a drink or two about 3-4 times a week). For the first month, I didn't notice a lot of improvement. Then, I started noticing that I was now gluten intolerant and lactose intolerant. That sucked, but once I cut these out of my diet, I started feeling better, not great, but better. Then, after about 3 more months, I felt about 70% better and tried a cookie. BAD IDEA! My stomach problems and bad feeling came back immediately. After just one cookie! So, for the last 6 months or so, it's all been cut out completely.
Now, (knock on wood) I feel much better. Probably close to 90-95% of what I used to feel like. I don't miss drinking, don't miss lactose, miss glutens a bit, and miss my cookies, but won't be going back! It's been a nightmare that I would never want to repeat again. I was sure that I had a fatal disease. I've learned that doctors don't know as much as you think, especially when it comes to the stomach and digestive system. They really underestimate the effects of diet! I've also used a couple of supplements to aid in my healing. These have also been a big help.

There is a syndrome called Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS). Basically means "puking your guts out". It is becoming much more common as more are using for recreational and medical reasons. There are Facebook pages filled with people who have it. The speculation is that the THC content of marijuana has risen from around 4% to anywhere from 16% to 34%. Medical is especially high. The only cure is permanent quitting of marijuana usage. People wind up in the ER multiple times per week for fluids because of serious, life-threatening dehydration.
The DSM5 lists cannabis withdrawal syndrome (CWS) and cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) as real, possibly serious conditions if not managed. I used to smoke more heavily, maybe an ounce a week, and began to develop severe hyperemesis syndrome until lowering my use to quantities under a gram every few days. Even if i consistently use a gram or 2grams a day, within 12hours i can develop loss of appetite, stomach cramping, irritability, anxiety, nausea, and insomnia from stopping. I recently realized this was the case and am on my third day of withdrawal - i gotta say, other than my suuuper slow digestion and low appetite i feel like the worst symptoms are gone. My first day i was in a cycle of anxiety, restlessnes, nausea, stomach discomfort, and cravings. I spent my day taking hot, sometimes cold showers, trying to remember to drink water. I probably only ate 150 calories from some rice i could choke down. It was torture falling asleep, so i took maybe 7mg of edible that first night to taper off - so it wasn't cold turkey. Now i'm two days cannabis free, and im just so grateful ive learned yet another lesson about Moderation without suffering even worse. Take care of yourselves, we need you.
