I smoke and I don’t have night terrors anymore and I have less anxiety soooo
if your smoking a gram of weed a day and taking Zoloft highly recommend u small pill boxs your weed for weekly doses or your depression will worsen, triggering an episode
(breaking your fat gram nugget into 7 pieces will start, take the stems out u dont want to smoke wood with heavy SSRI's. long term can lead into a stroke from composite cellulose lignin residual chemicals blocking SSRI inhibitors resulting into a headache if so pro users of SSRI's and marijuana more likely to stroke ).. i don't prefer marijuana with young adults and SSRI medication together.
its more for people in there late 40's . as a doctor well knowledge of concentrates of certain marijuana compounds you the patient would use it as a last result if no SSRI inhibitors work and in emergency situations. such as anxiety attacks and psychotic episodes to calm patients .
also marijuana should not be consumed everyday in certain instances where the patient is gradually losing his or her ability to use critical thinking in major part of motor-skills functions that relates to the well being of awareness and emotional stability .
if your on zoloft and even zoloft is making u have trouble with motor skill functions or mood, marijuana will not help if you are using it with a SSRI .you will give the doctor either impression of : a)your a prolong user of marijuana or b) to discontinue marijuana to evaluate whether or whether not w/wn mj. is in cognitive effect from your general well being.
as for as mj.
1/8 or 4/7 which is like a little snapper in little plastic box a day.take your Zoloft dose as required .you may need to go with a marijuana grade that contains more CBD's with low grade level turpentine's.DO NOT CHOOSE A SATIVA STRAIN IT RELEASES ENDORPHINS TOO FAST. IF U HAVE DEPRESSION U WANT A INHIBITOR FACTOR THAT IS SLOW RELEASE U DONT WANT TO CRASH YOUR DEPRESSION AND BLAME IT ON A SUBSTANCE FROM RECKLESSNESS DOSE CONSIDERATION. in fact a doctor that is well knowledge of your conditions should only prescribe u indica's and most bud tenders will ask about that when marijuana and mental illness practice are more safe guarded years to come.
so the SSRI in the Zoloft can gradually release or constrain certain post inhibitor chemicals in the brain. Zoloft is time released .if new to Zoloft,
going to take u thirty days to your body to adjust to it .do not take marijuana while your thirty day activation if u do feel the effects than proceed with other medications recommended by your doctor. if u don't, you will experience symptoms of depression .take a personal journal and document it .

terrible advice guest from over a year ago
I'm a daily pot smoker, ever sense I was about 15 years old, and have been on Zoloft sense I was 10. I from experience can say that it may amplify your high, but never have I had a bad freak out due to smoking. The only issues ive had with Zoloft and a substance was Alcohol.
I've been taking sertraline and smoking weed for about three months, and the hight is nice. BUT, I've increased the number of times that I smoke a day and reduce the time of the medication effects. I forgot to take the meds one day; it was a pretty bad trip.
Looking for serious opinion base on chemicals combinations, not the high

I had this EXACT same reaction! I was terrified that I was diving into a deep pool of psychosis/schizophrenia that I wouldn’t be able to get out of. My entire body was shaking uncontrollably, I had dry mouth, stomach pains, time distortion, and I couldn’t keep my thoughts in check. I kept asking my friend if I was going to die. It was the most terrifying thing I had ever experienced. I’ve been on Zoloft for about four years now and had smoked a handful of times before, but that reaction was enough to make me stop smoking completely. It’s not worth it.
I dont smoke a lot of weed, only occasionally a joint every few weeks. I started taking sertraline 2 weeks ago (50mg). Yesterday I took about 6 hits of a pretty strong joint, I didnt feel much until an hour later. I started to become dizzy and had trouble keeping my balance. Suddenly I saw bright lights flashing and fainted on the spot. Luckily my friend carried me inside and I felt okay after like 10 minutes. I strongly recommend people to NOT smoke if you have just started taking sertraline. It was not as terrible of an experience as some people have experienced, but it definitely makes you concious about what it can do to your body. On the other hand, smoking hash (moderately) had no negative effects at all, just a slightly nicer feeling high.
Yikes kid. Any SSRI antidepressants that are mixed with alcohol will f**k YOU UP, maybe not the times YOU’ve done it (yet). But believe me— I’ve taken zoloft for years and I took it back in college where I drank in heavy binge fashion. I was always getting drunk and believing I was right about anything and everything. Any psychiatrist who says anything remotely close to alcohol being “no big deal” when consumed while taking zoloft should have their license revoked immediately. He/she is also setting himself/herself up for potential malpractice suits. I’d definitely reconsider ALL of your medical “advice” that you’ve (been) given.
Well That isn’t going to be everyone else’s experience. Maybe YOU just shouldn’t smoke weed. Might not have anything to do with the Zoloft.
Different strokes for different folks.
Oh man. Clearly all the people on here saying they had a "bad trip" after smoking weed on zoloft are in fact not what most would consider a stoner. If you don't normally smoke weed, and if/when you do, you're the type who gets absolutely effed when you smoke then it's not recommended. I've seen so many people have these exact reactions after smoking weed with no zoloft. Zoloft affects seratonin and the receptors of said chemical. Some people can't handle weed and these people know who they are. If you're a stoner who smokes regularly and you've been prescribed zoloft and want to smoke then do so. Silly people.
Literally says in the pamphlet that they give you with the pills that you can drink alcohol. Good thing you're not a doctor.
15 hits!!!! 1 or 2 and wait to see how you feel. Especially since you hadn't smoked in over 3 months.
really? my anxiety’s gone away since smoking pot?
