I'm almost 13  years old, about 4'10, and 78 pounds. Five months ago, I started having daily stomach aches. Every day, I would have 7-8 bad stomach aches. I never threw up from them. I went to the doctors, got 2 rounds of bloodwork, and had a barium swallow, but everything was normal. I even got tested for Celiac disease, which was a negative. Next I went to the allergist and got tested for food allergies, but I was allergic to nothing. The stomach aches slowly went away, but now it seems that I have stomach aches every single morning when I wake up. After I get over those, then I feel completely full, causing me to skip breakfast. Normal people don't feel THAT full in the mornings, right? But normal people also don't get stomach aches every morning.

My son is going through the same thing. Did you ever get a diagnosis?

Yes I have had this problem for years. I was diagnosed with IBS. I am on Prilosec. Nexium worked better but my insurance won't cover it.

Hey everyone! So I noticed everyone is or was about the same age as me when the pains started or were happening (17). In most cases it has nothing to do with what you eat, it's when you eat it. Remember your parents saying "don't lay down after you eat"? It's 100% true. When your stomach is digesting food the stomach acids become active where In which their acidity raises in order to process the food. Your cardiac sphincter (the hole that opens and closes to let food from your esophagus into your stomach) is in charge of keeping that stomach food and acid from leaking into your throat. Unfortunately not everybody's cardiac sphincter is able to tighten all the way giving way to leaks. So when you eat and lay down, still digesting, the highly acidic substance leaks into your sensitive esophagus tissue and may start to burn it. So when you wake up nauseous, you may also have a sore throat or bad breath. This is what can make you feel the need to vomit. The burning of your esophagus and your stomach may be burned too (if you have a problem in which your stomach produces less than normal mucous membrane levels that protect the stomach from acid). Acid reflux (if your esophagus gets damaged enough) could develop cancer. So it's important that if you experience these symptoms a lot you consult a doctor. I've had this stomach issue for years and eating sooner before going up to bed has helped in most cases. My busy schedule prevented that for.me. Anti acid tablets help as well with the burning. Most cases of acid reflux (before it gets bad) you shouldn't be actually expelling vomit in most cases. More so gagging or dry heaving. There are illnesses (which surprise surprise I also have had) where you're unable to eat, you just vomit end diarrhea everything back up and out as well as have the worst abdomen pain in your life. Gastroenteritis. Either way, it'd be good to see a gastroenterologist about it because everyone's different and there's a broad spectrum of digestive issues. :)

Ok, let's toss a couple monkey wrenches in the works. I'm 62 and have had the above mentioned problems off and on for years.....decades. I drank heavily until 1988, and part of it seemed the drinking got rid of the problems during the day, of course the next morning are hangovers and stomach aches.....so a hair of the dog......BUT for years after quitting, the problems persist. Now to toss in the big one....roux-en-y gastric bypass at least 10+ years ago. Still have the problems come and go. This spring I was fine, but it all started in again in the summer till today. Also tend to get sweaty sometimes related and sometimes not related to the pain. pain is usually just above the bellybutton. Thoughts on anything like gall bladder or other inflammed organ ?

I get the exact same thing, I have to sit in the bathroom for at least an hour before I feel safe to move as I feel sick to the stomach and get terrible abdominal pains. Not any other time of the day just half 6 am every single mornin without a doubt. I'm 18/F 5'3

HEY THAT'S CRAZY, IM A FEMALE 21, 5'3 AND WEIGH 120. IVE HAD THE SIMILAR PROBLEMS FOR 3 YEARS AS WELL. IT STARTED WHEN I WAS A CHILD, BUT IT WENT AWAY BECAUSE , I REALIZE NOW, I WAS MORE CAUTIOUS OF MY DIET.

3 YEARS AGO I STARTED DRINKING PURE JACK DANIELS OR ANY CHEAP VODKA THAT I CAN GET A HOLD OF, AND EVERY MORNING WAS HELL WITH MY TUMMY. TO THE POINT WHERE I GOT LAID OFF FOR MISSING WORK TO MUCH.

THE ONLY TIME I CAN EAT IN THE MORNING WITHOUT FORCE FEEDING MYSELF IS WHEN I SMOKE WEED, AS BAD AS IT MAY SOUND IT HELPED ME ALOT. SO THE NATURAL HERB DOES WORK(: THEY GET THE JOB DONE. WE FORGET WE ARE NATURAL BEINGS WHO NEED NATURAL CARE(:

THESE FOODS ARE WHAT I NOTICED MAY BE CAUSING MY TUMMY PAINS I HOPE IT HELPS YOU GUYS AVOID THEM:
DAIRY PRODUCTS, TOO MUCH MEAT, OILY, SPICY FOODS(MEXICAN IN THE HOUSE), BEERS(NOT FOOD I KNOW), JUNK FOOD. PRETTY MUCH ALL THIS FOOD ID EAT AS A CHILD, NOW IT HAS CAME BACK TO HAUNT ME. AHA JK NO BUT I REALLY GOT TO GET CHECKED BY A GASTROENTEROLOGIST. IT COULD BE CELIAC?

3 YEARS AGO I WENT TO GET CHECKED AT THE OLIVIEW ER, AND I WAS THERE FROM 8AM TILL 5PM, BUT SINCE I WAS TOO NAUSEOUS TO EVEN EAT IN THE MORNING, I WAS ON AN EMPTY STOMACH ALL DAY AND THE PAIN WAS WORSENING, SO I GOT BACK INTO MY REGULAR CLOTHES AND WENT TO SMOKE WEED AND ATE SOMETHING AND THE PAIN WENT AWAY, BUT I NEVER GOT TESTED FOR ULTRASOUND RESULTS.I WENT 2 MONTHS AGO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND THEY DIDNT FIND ANYTHING, BUT THEN WHY DO I GET ALL THESE PAINS?

Vaviona, I feel for you. I too have been waking with stomaches this year (which hasn't happened in a long time) but now they are there every day. I am losing weight slowly. Maybe worrying about my job is part of it--I have have a doctor's appt. On Dec.9th---after I get up and move around the pain goes away and then I just have to deal with headaches and fatigue...I've mentioned it to a doctor before---with no diagnosis

Sometimes I think I'm having stomachaches because God doesn't want me to sleep any more but the problem is...I'm tired in the mornings too...I don't wake up feeling rested

I have a question for you all: how many of you recreationally use cannabis products, because I have the exact same issue but I'm convinced it has a lot to do with the amount I naturally medicate myself, so I'm seeing if it's a common ground?

I'm 19 year old male with same problems kinda strange how it's all people under a certain generation isn't it no one older raises some red flags for me sounds kind of like all those medications they pumped us with as babies to me I've lived an all natural eating and drinking life style since I was 15 and it has done no effect, maybe it's too late and the damage has already been done...

To blame all natural herb plant before you blame all the random chemicals they pass off as medicine and force babies to take dose not make any logical sense to me at all
