Hi Jane,
Your daughter, like the rest of us here, is experiencing hunger pain. It gets categorized as Non-ulcer Stomach Pain by doctors. (if they manage to figure it out, most doctors cant recognize that their patients are hungry) The stomach becomes completely empty causing extreme pain and often nausea.

I had the same problem as a kid. (Well, still do. It's a disorder, not a disease after all) I just couldn't make it to lunch without terrible stomach cramps.

Fortunately the 'cure' is easy. She needs a snack. Talk to the school and have her carry water/juice, some dried fruit (or something sweet), and some peanut butter crackers (something more complex).

Don't schedule a time for snack, and don't be worried if she doesn't eat everything. If the pain is bad, start with sipping on the juice/water.  (that first swallow can be extremely uncomfortable, but it will start getting better after that  When the pain subsides enough, eat the sweet. Sugars start digesting quickly, this will help the stomach reset. But sugar burns quickly, so something more complex is needed to keep the stomach from becoming empty again. (this is why antacids kind of help, but not really)

Not eating huge portions or just before bed will keep the pain at bay also.

So to all of you out there with morning stomach pain, go eat some breakfast!  :)  Or just start with some juice. ;)

The best cure for this, believe it or not, is some "naturally grown herbs". I've never smoked weed in high school until I started feeling this "morning sickness". Desperate to keep the pain away, I tried smoking pot for the first time. It actually has helped a lot since then. I usually wake up feeling sick still, nausated...I pack a bowl every morning when I wake up feeling sick and it has become a routine since then. I've tried many prespricted drugs by my doctor but none of them seemed to work.

Note that I am not encouraging nor promoting the use of marijuana. This post is here to simply help some open minded individuals about their morning sickness. I am a legal cannibis card holder and only use marijuana for medical purposes.

****SOLUTION!!!!!!****

Hey everybody! I have had all the same experiences you all mention and understand exactly what you are going through. Been through all the same tests, H-Pylori, thought it was IBS, Stomach ulcers, lactose intolerant etc blah blah blah!

I'm turning 36 in a few days 5'10, 215 pounds and have suffered anxiety and mood disorders for the last 20 years. It is strange that a lot of us do have anxiety, so there probably is some tie in to that. Anyway I still don't know what it is or what causes it but I have found the solution. It's not exactly fun but it works perfectly for me.

Google "Brown Rice Fasting" I do the protocol 2 days in a row every 2 weeks, it's kind of brutal but works perfect. I can then eat whatver and as much as I want after the fast, I'm fine till the weekend and then it starts creeping back up. When it starts creeping back up I eat raw organic honey right before I go sleep and I'm fine till the next brown rice fast. It has to has to has to be RAW ORGANIC HONEY, no other types of honey will work!

If you don't want to do the brown rice fast or raw organic honey, my second decent remedy is to take Zantac and cut your diet down to 1500-1800 calories per day for males and 1200-1500 calories per day females, and don't eat before you sleep and this should help. ***DISCLAIMER*** I'm no doctor and you should talk to your doctor first of course before altering your diet, but this all works damn good!

I wanted to add in that this works perfect for me. I don't want to give you all false hope, but if you try it I believe it will help the majority of you, if not all of you. Also I shouldn't be giving advice for children. This may work for them too, but definitely talk to your doctor about it.

I would try all my suggestions in this order-

Brown Rice Fast
Raw Organic Honey
Zantac or any Ranitidine product
Just enough calories to feel satisfied but not full.
No eating within 4 hours of sleeping.

Hello everyone, it's been a while since I have posted on this thread. Like I said in my last post, I have been taking a digestive enzyme everyday for the last 7 months and continue to feel so much better. I did finally see a new doctor and had some more ultrasounds done and was diagnosed with Pelvic Congestion Syndrome. Basically in my case, the veins that supply blood to the left side of my pelvic area and uterus have become vericosed and enlarged. The pain associated with it is much like having a massive headache in my lower abdomen. I went for years with intense pain in my lower stomach and no answers as to why. As the pain progressed, so did my anxiety and stress. Like I mentioned before, I had been sent through the normal battery of tests and was given the usual IBS diagnosis. My upset stomachs increased and the pain was worse than ever in the early mornings so I always felt aweful. Now that I know what is causing most of the pain, it  makes sense and I can relax a little and not be so worried about what is wrong with me! But since being diagnosed with PCS, I have been taking a new form of birth control to help relieve the engorgement issues in my uterus which has surprisingly helped with the pain I was experiencing. I go back to the doctor next month to have a laproscopic surgery done to see how severe the damage is. I will then be given the options to have surgery to correct the veins from being vericosed. I know that the location of my PCS really only pertains to females, but vericosed veins can happen anywhere in the body. As for those still suffering, I highly praise the digestive enzyme that I am taking. Out of all the medications that I have tried over the years, nothing has worked as well as these enzymes have to settle my stomach and actually be able to eat and not get sick. Best wishes to all those still searching for a cure!

Im not a doctor or anything, I can just tell you what helps me against the stomach ache/nausea...which is smoking some medical marijuana

I dont care how some people judge others for that, but when it helps it is definatly worth it, rather than life in pain !

get better soon

Listen Everyone! I am onto something!!! PLEASE RESEARCH SYSTEMIC FUNGAL INFECTION!!!  I have had this problem for 5 years, and it had recently progressed to a near death experience because it had become so bad! I am a 31 year old female, 5' 4", 108 lbs, underwieght like most people who post here. A month ago I was down to 98 lbs...wasting away to nothing.  And same morning sickness that you all have described! Been to doc after doc and been diagnosed with IBS and stomach ulcers (no h. pylori detected in blood) via colonoscopy and endoscopy. That was 4 years ago. Been on omeprazole with no relief. My pain in the mornings has been very disruptive to my life, and does not subside until I have hit the toilet a few times in the morning. And even then, the nausea lingers throughout the day. Makes it very hard to eat. Makes my life hard to live...basically feel horrible 99% of the time.  That and the fact that I have had absolutely no appetite to speak of, I would say I am involuntarily aneorexic.  I have had every test under the sun done with no results besides the ulcers and IBS.

I have also had problems with my memory, like seriously, not remembering what someone is talking to me about, while I am talking to them. Forgetting what im doing, where im going, while im driving...things like that. And as of April 2012 my lungs became severely inflamed and I could barely breath, my subcostal muscles were retracting (which indicates respiratory distress), and I had to constantly think about my breathing. This lasted until October of 2012  I was treated for pnemonia (which obviously did not work), and strep 3 times all to no avail. The pain was so incredibly severe in my stomach, morning and night, and it felt like pretty much every system in my body was failing.  I would get constipated so badly that pain was a 9/10 level, and I could not even sit down.  Then, on a whim, I had diarrhea. I would cry at the drop of a hat, and was starting to have several anxiety attacks on a daily basis (I think my emotional nature was due the the way I felt).  I was so so cold...I was shivering in 70-80 degrees, while everyone else was trying to cool off.  Anyways, BELIEVE ME, I have suffered for far too long. I have to help you guys! I have read every post in this thread! I have what many of you guys may have...I am sure of it.

So...I had this white stuff on the back of my throat for about a year...treated as strep with antibiotics ( mind you with a negative strep culture) 3 times.  My symptoms were getting more and more severe, and the stomach pains made me feel like I needed to go to the hospital.

I got fed up after being treated and the white stuff did not go away so immediately scheduled a trip to the ENT after the 3rd treatment, and also the GI doc, and a Respiratory doc. ENT was first and guess what....IT WAS THRUSH...and the antibiotics I had been on kill off any bacteria that can stop yeast from growing. This creates a perfect environment for a systemic fungal infection. I have a systemic fungal infection. And let me tell you people. The FIRST day I took difulcan (an antifungal medication)...I woke up feeling a little better. 3rd day.....5 miserable years of symptoms...completely gone. nothing. No ulcer pain, no digestive symptoms, no nausea, no cramping. Not one bit of discomfort in my stomach! Not one people!  I woke up feeling like a peach for 2 weeks (while i was taking medicine).  The inflammation which had plagued my lungs for 6 months was gone.  My mind was clear, as I was processing again.  I am telling you, this was an absolute miracle.  The only pain I had in my stomach was...well nothing...just anticipitory pain...just me expecting it to hurt, but it did not.  Needless to say, I no longer needed the GI doc, or the Respiratory doc.

I have been off the medication 1 week now and have been experiencing the morning sickness again...Thing is...ive done some research, and I know that once a systemic fungal infection is that out of control it is very hard to get rid of. I am going to need to work on this for 6 months..at least. Eating a diet with very low (to no) carbs, and absolutely no added sugar will help. This is what yeast feeds on and inevitably exacerbates the problem. So all of you that are changing your diets are onto something, and that is why.The morning thing, well...you eat carbs and sugar for dinner, and the yeast feeds all night.  Yeast gets stronger, your bowels and stomach get inflamed, you wake up severely hypoglycemic (nausea, shakiness, extreme hunger).  Then if you can force yourself to eat, while you feel so horrible, your stomach will chill.  I.e.-hypoglycemia instantly goes away when you get your blood sugar up.

And I wanted to explain just how a digestive fungal infection can progress from the digestive tract to the lungs, liver, and brain.  Which is what happened to me.  All of these years (5) I have been having the same stomach problems that you all have described.  Treated with antibiotics lord knows how many times (which helps yeast grow).  So the inflammation from the fungus can eventually weaken and perforate the bowels.  Once it does that, the yeast has no barrier, it can now access the blood and travel to any place in the body.  This is why, after several years, just having stomach issues and morning sickness, my illness progressed to liver and pancreatic inflammation, brain function problems, and severe lung problems.  After that time, there was a rapid progression, and like I said, I was preparing for my funeral, trying to figure out how I would tell my husband, and children that I was going to die.  My body was done at this point.

Anyway, some of you may not have yeast (or fungus...same thing), and you may think this is worse than what you have.  But that would only be because my bowels perforated and let the yeast into everything!  And I am not a doctor...but I am a nurse. I cannot diagnose you, but I am pretty sure I am onto something!!! look into it! PLEASE RESEARCH SYSTEMIC FUNGAL INFECTION! I want to get better, and if you all feel like I do, I know you do too! And I pray that this information will help at least some of you.  PLEASE LOOK!  I want to help you.

21. 5'10" 150 pounds. Possibly a little underweight. Having the exact same problem and its awful, but only when im forced to get up early (for me this is anytime before 10am sometimes even later). I have to wake up and visit the toilet sometimes twice. Try to force down some toast or maybe a poptart on a good day. We are all young... and the problem does seem worse after soda or a couple beers... maybe this is related to acne medicine/ dehydration? There has to be a cause or at least a diet that can help us out. Thoughts?

Of course it works. Some of us live in places like Virginia and can't afford to buy it all the time.

Hey! I know you posted this forever ago, but I was wondering if you found a solution...What you have described here is exactly what I have! And I know it is constantly overlooked by docs, and an increasing problem due to the overuse of antibiotics, lowered immune system, and the crappy food we eat. I have been battling this for 4 years! And had all kinds of blood test done,MRIs, CT scans, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and all with no results, except for a diagnosis of IBS (which is a catch all for "we dont know what is wrong with you" if you ask me), Asthma, and Stomach ulcers (and I never had H.Pylori) I have been absolutely miserable 99% of the time. EVERY SYMPTOM YOU HAVE, I HAVE! Anyways, finally! A real diagnosis! I have a SYSTEMIC FUNGAL INFECTION!

After the first few days of Diflucan, my symptoms were gone...like poof...they vanished...nothing, not a cramp, a stomach pain, my ulcer pain was gone. I could breath because my lungs were no longer inflamed, my constant panic attacks and depression completely went away, I was having normal bowel movements (that did not hurt! from cramping or soreness in intestines), and one thing u did not say is memory problems...i couldnt think straight at all, that went away too! I did not wake up severely ill, and hypoglycemic anymore. And I just felt better! I havent wanted to do much like play with my kids, or go shopping or anything. I have been too tired. All of a sudden, I was normal! An absolute miracle! I forgot what feeling good felt like. Anyways, it has been a month since my 2 week treatment with diflucan, and I am becoming sick again. This time I know. The fungus has gone for so long the medication can not reach all of it. It grows back. This type of infection takes a lot of work to get rid of. Anyways, for those of you who think this may be your problem, tell your doc to quit messing around and do a BLOOD CULTURE FOR FUNGUS AND BACTERIA!  It will take a couple of weeks to grow...and if you have it, you can treat it! And you also have to change your diet.  Changing your diet is a very important part of getting better. Google it! SYSTEMIC FUNGAL INFECTION, CANDIDA, YEAST. See if your symptoms match up...I bet they will!.

And P.S.  I have read every message in this thread...and I think about 90% of you who have already posted need to take this seriously.  And really look into it! And, I want you to know, I am a nurse...I do know what I am talking about.

look up systemic fungal infection...just do it...you will thank me later, when you are better!

Cause: High acidity and massive inflammation due to candida infection...you said years right?

Cure: Antifungal medication from your doc, coupled with a very strict diet with NO sugars and carbs. This starves the fungus so it can no longer survive. Google it please!

I totally feel your pain. I had similar problems for many years and then discovered the book, THE EMOTION CODE, by Dr. Bradley Nelson, this year. I have been doing the treatment since April. Now my guts are hardly bothering me at all and I can sleep well. Don't forget to release trapped mental emotions (which he doesn't mention in the book but are very important), inherited emotions (which helped my guts the most), and inherited mental emotions. I want to tell everyone who has suffered as much as I have so that they can get well. This really is a miracle!!!
