I have similar issues and found similar solutions as well. But I also found in holistic approach medicine in Brasil that eventhough obviously it matters what you eat and how often or how much you eat (hardeer to digest food like MEAT will increase the problem when consumed afternoon...etc...but it is not the cause. The problem is that "lazy digestive tract", or your digestive organs are not properly contracting to move your food down as it should normally...so everything slows down...keeping the food much longer in your stomach...obviously the food will deteriorate, produce toxines that will spread into your body and cause gas and bloated feeling...
This "lazyness" in your muscles /organs can be caue by medicines side effects, or even too often medicines to treat constipation, or even some "chinese" teas to lose weight...
It is similar to what occurs after open surgery, when you must do long walkings daily so your interal organs can "recover and restart to properly move" as they function...
More than what to eat or not to eat is the need of exercises. If you add to your routine, as much as possible, walkings and avoidance to consume hard digestive food in the later meals, you can start to feel much better...
I am thinking it could be caused by some sort of bacterial imbalance? Or my gallbladder? I really haven't a clue. I know it is not gluten-intolerance, they have a test for that.
Has anything worked for you guys? Is anyone cured of this? I definitely agree that exercise would help, I just haven't had much time lately.
I too look about eight months pregnant beginning in the afternoon and through the evening. When I wake up, my stomach is flat. I'm not sure how long this has been going on for; I've been very aware of it for several months. Actually, now that I think about it, I had severe chronic food poisoning about 10 years ago and it may have started then.
I, too, was diagnosed with IBS. I had an array of tests done on me for celiac, and thyroid and am waiting for the results.
It is clear that the issue is trapped air; I don't have much gas (I never have... I think this is part of the problem).
Here is the weird thing. When I meditate, or when I very deliberately relax, I can hear all of these crazy sounds from my belly. It is like I am normally too tense to move the air around, but when I am sleeping or have really relaxed my muscles, there is a lot of air going from one part of my belly to another. Note, though, that this doesn't decrease the bloating. It just makes a lot of noise.
I exercise a lot, I tend to eat healthy. I am probably a bit underweight, with this huge, distended belly. I just saw an acupuncturist and he would tap on it and say "you are full of air"! My doctor is really disinterested in this issue. I want to do something to alleviate the problem but don't know what I can do.
Ahhh I
finally accumulated enough material to be completely sure.

It was the aluminum. At least the depersonalization, derealization, the memory problems and the digestive problems. I knew about this for months ago but wasnt completely sure. I used for two years ODABAN, a potent antiperspirant with 20% aluminum content... because of excessive sweating because of social phobia because of Aspergers BECAUSE of heavy metals in vaccines, and possibly genetic mutations that impaired detoxification, thats why some of us become autistic and others just get a lower IQ and numbed pineal gland ;)
The question im making myself now its... colon cleanse-parasite cleanse, kidney cleanse, liver flush, chelation OR directly chelation and then all the other stuff?? And when to start taking Iodine??
try eating fermented foods(kefir, saurkraut, miso) which have a probiotic effect. prebiotic foods include chicory root, banana and whole grains such as whole wheat and brown rice. wheat has a really bad rep right now but its only the refined white stuff thats bad for you. you need whole grains in your diet for intestinal health. oh and a good alkalizing thing to do is punch back a glass of lemon water first thing in the morning, one of the best things you can do for your health. hope that helps.
I"m glad to read that going gluten-free helped you! I was gluten free and I recall that when I was sticking to the regime, a rash on my hand cleared up. I'm now off the wagon, but have been feeling lousy and am going to start again. I've also started to test myself for Ph levels, which can lead to bad digestion. God help us all!
I have had both endoscopy and colonoscopy for mine. They found gastritis but that not the bloating problem. As with the person about I found that a raw vegan diet works but it is hard to stick too and the minute I eat the wrong thing I get bloating and pain again. Mainly evening. Stick to 80 % vegan but still have issues
