I am scheduled to get novasure done jan 17.. and i am not reading anything good from people. its like it always ends up being a bad thing.. im so confused!!

My periods were heavy clotty and painful... got biopsy done last june 2013 periods stopped and hot flashes started... (biopsy was claer for cancer) but my periods stopped and my blood work showed my hormones were beginning towards menopause says the doc....so i was suppose to get novasure done nov17 but i got my period (first one since biopsy in june) on nov 14 and it lasted til dec 14) it wasnt heavy or clotty or painful, just spotty.  No more bleeding since dec 17.. so has it stopped again or will i get it again come january? Will it be spotty again or full period with cramps pain and clotting??so i rebooked my novasure to jan 17.... not sure if i should go through it now or not... please advise someone!

DON'T DO IT! I have had every symptom that all the others have. I go for an ultrasound next week to see if I have blood pooling in my uterus. Not worth it.

I'm having the same pains a year after ablation. Did u have a hysterectomy? Did it help with the pain? Partial or complete hysterectomy? I'm only 33 and don't want to have a full hysterectomy but cannot deal with this pain any longer

I had my procedure 3 years ago and thought it was the best thing I'd ever done for myself.  Suddenly, within the last 4 months I've gained 15 lbs (I'm a clean eater) and for 3-4 days during the time I would have a period, the cramps are like labor pains, i have horrific pressure in my bowels, yet they feel locked up, and the pain in my abdomen is so severe it hurts me to even walk!  my doctor keeps telling me the nova sure procedure and my problems are not tied to the other, but I know better!!!  So happy to know I'm not crazy!!!!

Hi. Your symptoms sound uniquely similar to mine. I've been in and out of the MRI machines and still no answer to what is causing tingling, stinging sensations and numbness in my leg. Doctor's first thought I had RA but with further tests they say no. I had the Novasure procedure 2 years ago. I'm wondering now if the procedure just disguised a more serious problem that my doctors would be looking at it I still had the horrible cramps and periods. Absolutely curious about how this turned out for you. Please share!

It looks like 2009 was a big year in this post!

I too had the ablation and tubal in August 2009...and it was a dream (after the initial 3 month recovery of gushing clear fluids)  Until about 2 years ago.

I have SEVERE, agreeing with all of you - WORSE than labor pain during what should be my period EVERY month.

I have went to numerous doctors and read all these posts and basically the reponse is -  "yeah, that sometimes happens after ablation."  REALLY!?

My most recent doc prescribed 50mg of Tramadol HCL...but what I would really like is a  vicodin to be able to kick this pain and sleep it off.

Does the Hysterectomy help with the monthly pain? I am 35 and concerned about hormones etc...   Thanks!

OMG. This describes me completely. I had the Novasre ablaton procedure....5 years ago. For awhile things were ok. But now, I dont bleed (or very mininaL). The times I don't bleed are the worst 3 days ever. Today is day 1, and I have been laying in bed all day in pain. I a so glad I found this post as I just need ansswers. Now, what would be helpful is a solution to why so much pain. I mean, it drops me to the floor....as bad as it was when I was a young teenager.

I had an ablation in June of 2004 at the age of 22. I already had two kids and my tubes tied/cut. I had the procedure done because of severe bleeding. The bleeding stopped completely after my ablation and stayed that way until a year and a half ago. My daughter started her period and soon after that, I got mine back. It wasn't bad at first. Now all of a sudden, my bleeding has increased greatly and the cramps are worse than labor pains. I have an appointment in a month to see my ob/gyn. I'm hoping there is something that can be done about the pain I experience monthly. I can't continue missing two to three days of work month after month. This is just plain torture!

I had Nova Sure done April 4, 2014!!! I had the procedure done due to extremely heavy periods!!! My periods are not heavy at all but the pain I endure is horrific!!! I cramp so bad!!! There aren't any over the counter meds that help. I regret having this procedure!!! I am considering having a hysterectomy. My doctor hasn't found any complications but I know what I'm feeling!! Is anyone else experiencing pain 6 months after the procedure??

Yes, I had the procedure back in Sept. First few months were fine then the pain started. When I would be having my period for three days the pain is horrific . My doctor gave me mussel relaxers pain pills don't work.

Omg! Just reading your post- I had the procedure done in 2011 and I'm experiencing the same symptoms you have! My gyn doc kept asking if I want a hysterectomy even before I started having this bad cramping. Obviously she knew something I didn't know! Wonder if we could do a class action lawsuit!

No I wouldn't recommend this procedure to anyone
