Same here! Excruciating pain every month that norco barely touches. Went to a new doc today. Said pain is very common after an ablation
Since I'm 48 he's gonna treat me with hormones to avoid my monthly cycle til I go thru menopause. Other option is hysterectomy. I have no reasons to go that route so we are going to try this. It is such a relief to finally have a doctor believe me when I describe the pain. He said the uterus is contracting and trying to do its job of pushing the blood out but there is no blood and the opening is virtually shut and that's where all the pain is from. He's ordered a full blood workup on my hormone levels too. I hope this works. I'll let everyone know

Oh my god. Ijust cringe at the thought of this procedure. I said I would stay awake for it becaise my Dr. Said it isn't painful. She said you don't have an issues with having pap smears you will be fine.Mild cramping. OMG. I was screaming for her to stop. Worst pain of my life!!!! Once she turned off the machine.I was fine. Shakey pale sweaty and threw up but pain was gone. Worst part of recovery was constant bloated feeling. Never had another period. But did end up having total hystorectomy 1.5 years later because I was still I pain and kept having issues with cysts and ovaries. I have gained 100lbs since hystorectomy. But no more pain.... :/

I had this procedure done in June 2015. Six months later excruciating pain every month - worse than labour - would have my heavy periods back any day!

I'm in the same position now. I had ablation, tubes clamped, cysts and endometriosis adhesions removed back in July 2017. My periods returned slightly but at the same time every month I can barely walk due to the indescribable amount of pelvic pain I have. X-rays, ultrasound have shown nothing, I see my gynaecologist next week for the first time since the op, I'll be interested to see what she says. No pain killers work, at all, not even endone which worked great after I had surgery.

I had the procedure in 2016. The periods are gone but the pain it so awful. Every month for 3 to 4 days. I am 56 so I am hoping it will stop being so bad. Pain is helped a little with over the counter pain pills. Don't trust doctors to help. Don't know what to do next.

I had a tubal in 2005 and then my ablation in 2015. I would gladly go back to going through a super pad every 30 minutes as opposed to this pain. Last month I went to the er, I can not have dialudid due to it causing hallucinations so they gave me fentynal because I thought it was kidney stones again...it didn’t help. The CATscan with iv contrast didn’t show anything. When I had previously spoken to my gyno about the pain he put me on seasonique, a 3 month cycle bc. That made my body miserable, I gained weight just by thinking about food, I was retaining water like I was pregnant. So I took myself off of it, the pains every three months but my body being miserable or pains every month and being able to urinate like I should. The dr won’t do anything else because he feels the every three months is better than once a month. I’m over it. Ready to just cut it all out on my own. 22 and had tubal ligation, but 34 with ligation and ablation that causes horrendous pain is too young for a hysterectomy. I’m at my ends.

Yes I had the ablation done 8 months ago it's not worth it I would rather have my cycle any day I have been hurting in my lower left abdomen for three days now doctor prescribed me 800 ibuprofen but it does no justice I have to lay in bed with a heating pad.

I had the Novasure procedure done yesterday. I had the worst pains in my lower abdomen I can't even begin to describe how bad for about 12 hours.. The pain has lessened today but now I have EXTREME PAIN at my rectal area and have no clue as to why. And I look like I am 5-6 months pregnant ... I hope I didn't make a bigger mistake by having this procedure done. Can anyone tell me why I am having such bad pain in my rectal area?

I had my Ablation done in June and then in January I started having side pain that would not last for very long but was so bad I ended up in the ER. I went to my doctor after my MRI showed a pocket of blood. Today I started to have the side pain again so I called my doctor and he ordered an Ultrasound. I have never been in so much pain in my life. Maybe child birth, but it was beyond a 10 on the pain scale. But again, when they US came back it didnt show anything. well at least what they could see. I guess it was not a very good picture. I know that this happens during what would be my period, they stopped months ago after my surgery, and starts with left side pain and then just gets worse and worse until you just can not bare it anymore, but then oddly it tapers down and goes away. thank goodness! I am so tired of doctors saying they don't see anything and going through this pain. I am not imagining it or making it up. I am telling you that it is there and I don't know how to explain to them that it is related to my periods. I have read several posts of the last couple of months and they all say the same thing. They end up with a hysterectomy after months of issues. What can I do? I ended up leaving work today because of it. I cant do this every month. I don't want to be a medical mystery anymore. I want for the pain to go away.

Not sure on the rectal area but yes the cramps were very bad for a few days, but then went away. I wish you the best.

Totally believe the novasure has caused so many women this pain and all these complications. I wish I could find a medical lawsuit about this. This procedure should be illegal

I had the novasure procedure done nov 2016. I haven’t had a period since. I get a little cramping when it’s due to be that time of the month but that’s it. So much better off compared to what I went through before the procedure
