That is not what he said. He said that there is no doctor who knows this, and that is o so true.

I feel much better now knowing I'm not alone. ;-) Definitely agree on the drinking being a contributing factor.  But maybe more so, the increase intensity of the session associated with the drinking.

I have also been having this discomfort while urinating after ejaculation, the way of stopping the discomfort is, stange as it sounds..masterbating your foreskin back and forth while urinating helps remove the urine and relieve pain.
hope it helps

I am 25 years old and its valentines I had two negra modelos beers and just had sex and it hit me! This has been only after I ejaculate after drinking usually 2 beers and it doesn't happen so I'm a little freaked out this time. What helps me is sticking my penis in a cold glass of water and taking some ibuprofin. NExt time I'll try cranberry juice.

Painful Bladder Syndrome aka Interstitial Cystitis that has gone undiagnosed by ignorant urologists is basically what this topic boils down too.

Cranberry juice will only irritate your bladder it won't help

I can't believe how many people have this problem. It has been happening for a year in my case.  My urologist have no idea what is it. He starts to make me crazy and even make a fun of me with question like if I have found girlfriend yet. Grrrr I am printing all this pages and Im gonna slap his face whit them. After ejaculating, whether I urinate or not, I feel extremely painful burning sensation in my urethra and testicals. It happens once a month average. 70% of time it happens after drinking beer, but its not crucial. My solution is seating on a toilet for a 30min until stops. I cant believe that this syndrome or illness or whatever don't have a name, and, as I see, no urologist is familiar with it.

It is actually kinda sad reading these posts because most of us have written these posts while being in quite a bit of pain. I'm in that boat right now. My experience has been to avoid using the toilet. When you sit on the toilet and pee after ejaculating, you get like 2 seconds of temporary relief before the pain comes back even stronger. You end up doing this off and on for like 40min! If you can resist the urge to do this and hold in the pain for 10min, you'll be better and save yourself some all that pain. The only time I break this rule is if I can make myself poop. Then I will absolutely sit on the toilet. That definitely helps if you can poop. What also helps when you get those symptoms right after sex, try stroking your taint up under your balls then stroke your shaft a couple times. This will help move along any remaining cum up and out of your body or at the very least makes you feel a little better. Some have mentioned immediately jerking off again. I have found that this unleashes double the pain. Sometimes when it is unbearable, I take a jog. That seems to help also. Just some thoughts. Good luck sufferers.

Wow I can not help but sit and laugh my ass off while sitting on the toilet waiting out this horrific pain I have in my penis after nailing a fine chick in my bed and consuming a heavy amount of alcohol! I too am 23 years old get laid regularly and consume alcohol quite a bit... Believe me I knew what was about to happen when she took her panties off lol but wasn't bout to pass it up ! I have never looked into this before and now I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who suffers from this ONLY after consuming alcohol. Weirddd when I ask my friends if they get this too they just give me the wtf look so I keep my mouth shut. Only thing that helps the pain is thirty mins of toilet or shower time haha other than this idk what to say just glad I'm not Alone !

I hope you guys will sympathize with me as I have had this embarrassing problem for over 35 years.

Some observations:

1) I can't believe that there isn't a doctor with an active sex life who hasn't experienced these symptoms and thought to investigate.

2) Alcohol is probably not a factor, as many people who do not drink have also reported this problem.

3) Going for a c**p definitely helps reduce the pain -- even the slightest movement works.

4) Everyone notes that a symptom that the problem will emerge is if your penis remains semi-hard after ejaculation

5) Holding off on the first urination after sex helps. Then see 3) above.

6) The effect is lessened if you come quickly -- if you are working hard to achieve orgasm, the problem is more likely to occur

7) Time of day is an unknown factor -- I have never experienced this in the morning, but then again I have not been consuming fluids for several hours (plus I feel refreshed and hmmm ... turned on in the mornings, so tend to come quick.)

8) A warm shower helps as you can dribble as much as you like while playing a soothing stream of water on your outraged member

9) THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY SEXUAL DISEASE, SO STOP WORRYING.

I think many individuals assume this problem is somehow associated with a sexually transmitted disease or a negative thing that will affect them the rest of their sexual life. It's not an STD (the symptoms would be much more gruesome, and the pain would not just involve the tip of ones penis, but testacles and inner linings of ones sexually productive organs as well). If an individual is receiving pain along these lines then it may be in ones best interest to consult your doctor. Do not assume that because symptoms are greater that it must be a disease or infection. Pain levels and intensity vary between individuals. Obviously, its not a good thing, but its not an entirely bad symptom either. I won't go into a lot of detail, because most of the information one needs is located within this forum - these are common reasons someone may have this problem:
1) aggressive ejaculation or sex has led to stretching, ripping, or irritation of ones penial linings.
2) whether use of a clean or dirty cloth, rag, tissue, or article of linen does not matter... its possible the material has scratched or entered penial tubing and caused irritation from the inside... this is also why its most commonly only irritable on the tip and not the entire lining. Urinating often makes it worse because the acidic nature gets into the nerves and creates a heavy burning and stinging sensation. Urine is acidic and bacterial waste the body ejects. If an individual drinks, the alcohol has a burning property and can often lead to heightened pain because of greater toxicity, but is not THE sole reason someone feels irritated, thus, young individuals also have this issue.
3) an individual who ejaculates often (2x daily or more), penial walls will become more susceptible to burning sensations because of higher activity and greater amounts of stress on the penial linings.
4) In an effort to orgasm longer, some individuals restrain and restrict flow of bodily fluids, this may also cause irritation due to greater amounts of stress and pressure in ones blood flow and fluid flow.

Solutions:
1) abstinence
2) lesser frequency of ejaculation or sex
3) don't use cleaning materials that will rub, scratch, or irritate penial skin. Recommendation: Use your hands. Prior to, wash hands thoroughly and RINSE thoroughly to avoid soap and bacterial irritation, DO NOT use hand sanitizer. Recommended wash and rinse time, is a total of 2 min. If one feels uncomfortable using hands, don't allow material used to touch tip of penis, as this can cause irritation.
4) Do not use unnecessary force or overexersion with hands or objects to ejaculate as this can cause aggressive motion through penial linings.

For further questions or comments, ones best choice is to consult their personal doctor. All individual results vary, and irritability varies. For young individuals, some locations allow doctor/patient confidentiality. NOTE: Present condition of individual may warrant informing parent or guardian depending on seriousness of injury or recurring care. Read confidentiality agreement if applicable.

Glad I finally looked this up. Given my own experience and what I have read here. I've made similar conclusions as some other folks. This does have to do with semen going into the urethra after ejaculation. If you have ever been tested for an STD when they stick a q-tip in your urethra slightly, then you know it feels like it is on fire so extremely bad. Anything besides urine in the urethra will cause this feeling. Semen does clump when wetted, so this doesn't help when it goes back into the urethra. The urge to urinate is the body's response to flush out the semen. This is more likely to happen if you have been frequently urinating, like after drinking lots of fluids and especially beer which makes you urinate a lot. Urinating frequently opens the urethra more than normal increasing the chances of semen entering it with ejaculation. I'm sure that the urine content can play a role when you have been drinking. Masturbating frequently and/or too vigorously can irritate the lining of the urethra and also leave it stretched open a little more than usual. Sounds like taking a break from masturbating and/or sex could help. If you are in need of immediate relief, sit on the stool and urinate as prompted by your body. Find something to read, browse the net but avoid anything arousing. If you do this, it could pass in 10-20 minutes. Also, if you have a sink nearby, fill it with cool water. Pour it over the head of your penus slowly as you sit on the stool and repeat. This helps to slow blood flow and alleviates irritation faster.
