I'm not sure if once anyone posts there comment they ever come back to follow this thread as it just seems to be everyone popping on and stating their issue. However I read the entire thread and no one has really mentioned pelvic floor muscles that much. Has anyone read the book, "Headache in the pelvis" or tried pelvic floor therapy?  I get the same exact problem everyone has talked about since I was 21, now 28.  I've been to all the doc's , did all the tests, and tried all the meds.  I thought the same things with alocohol etc... From my research it really has nothing to do with any of that. I beleive it is the muscles, that make the of the floor spasming and constantly tight. IF anyone has ever had an injuried joint or muscle, and maybe needed surgery. Its like tendonitis in the pelvis. I did notice one difference that no one mentioned between that I have. I have a daily uncomfort that varies with an anxious feeling in the entire region/bladder.  I dont have a solution yet to any of this but i'm investing heavily in this theory, reading the "headache in the pelvis" now and then seeing If i need to go to the Wise-Anderson Clinic.  Feel free to message me...

Yeah, it definitely has to do with not peeing before ejaculating. I think the inability to pee is because when you ejaculate, there's something that blocks the urinary bladder (forgot what it's called) to prevent urine from mixing with the semen... I suppose it takes longer than we'd like for it to open back up again :P

It has nothing to do with alcohol because I get it and I don't drink, and why not do what I do and just wait about half an hour before urinating?

I drink nearly daily. I experience what you just mentioned to the T. Have you found a solution? Other then not drinking...I happen to love alcohol.

Ok, I have been having this problem since before I became sexually active. Happens at random times and not close together and idk why. I don't ever drink alcohol and my bladder was not full when it did happen. Now what I have assumed this was is that after ejaculation there may still be sperm in your penis and when it is mixed with your urine creates an acid but I don't know for sure that is true. I just had it happen to me today and I know I have no diseases of the sexual nature.

My god people on here are stupid.... First its not a "problem" that can be simply remedied. It's 100% a natural reaction if you don't do your sh*t right.

It's like you idiots come here to see if you can "fix" you lungs, because they're constantly breathing, but you're not sure why.

If you try to urinate too soon after ejaculation, this is going to happen. If you try to urinate with a full on erection, it's likely to happen. If you ejaculate with a full bladder, and you knew you should have probably urinated before fapping, this is likely to happen. It isn't some medical "problem" occurring 'randomly.'

There's a perfectly logical explanation: You are misusing your penis. See when you ejaculate, semen comes into the urethra from a completely separate tube than the tube through which urine enters your urethra. Two different tubes leading to one. When you ejaculate its your prostate that blocks urine from entering the urethra. This blocking process can't just be flipped on and off like a light switch. It takes time. And that amount of time can vary from person to person. The "stinging" or "burning" sensation is actually urine kind of 'stuck' idle between the bladder and the 'point of no return' of your urethra. The urination was incomplete due to your constricted prostate.

I suggest before you plan to ejaculate, try to pee first, unless you're sure you don't need to. However if after ejaculating you suddenly get the urge, hold it! Wait for at least 10-15 mins for your erection, and prostate to fully subside. Then you can urinate problem free.

Lastly, a quick remedy for those experiencing this, take a warm shower, allowing the water to run all along your entire penile area, and try to let go of any tension (holding back urine) sensations you may have. If this causes you to pee a little (or a lot) in the shower, so be it, the problem is working itself out.

I get this as well. I'm 26 and I've had it since I was a teenager. I'm sure its not an std because I got it before I ever had sex for the first time.
I have a feeling that it may be due to dehydration. I often get it even if I haven't been drinking but feeling a little dehydrated. My trick is that when I feel it coming on, I drink as much water as I can (at least a litre), I grab a book and sit on the toilet until it passes. Usually only takes about 30 mins.

You don't have to get HPV from a sexual partner. It's passed extremely easily. If you go to the bathroom and don't wash your hands after and touch some one else's hands aka hand shake they then can get it. So it may not have been a woman who gave it to you. Could have been your boss for all you know.

I've had this in one form or another since my teen's There are thing's toostop it, or make it worse "Genius" a few post's up hit the nail on the head basically.

Basically your penis (when it comes to fluids) does two things. It lets you urinate, and it lets you ejaculate, its controlled by a special valve that should only be able to do ONE of the above things at a time. The trick is you do not confuse it, and you let it do its job fully before trying to start the 'other' job. Otherwise this pain will become more frequent.

Anyway, here are some tips to stop the pain from happening.

Try to avoid having a quick 'shuffle' with your penis hanging out of your pants, if your going to do the deed let you balls hang out free with no constraints from clothing (pull your pants to your ankles)Give your balls a bit of fun, move them, jiggle them about a little bit. and continue to masturbate a while after your main.. 'load' has come out. That way your more likely to have a complete ejaculation.

Never, I mean never go to the toilet when you have a 'semi' or are even remotely hard after ejaculation. I don't know for certain, but if your penis is in this state your valve will get confused if you urinate. (that's what is seems to me!)

Drinking certain fluids will help or hinder this condition, some because they will change the constitution of your urine and others like alcohol will confuse the valve-system even more. If you drink alcohol it will affect your body and brain, if you get drunk you may not even be able to stand properly. Think about what it will do to your special valve!

Empty your bladder before sex/masturbation will help, but give your valve time to 'settle'

If you get the pain, the absolute best way to get rid of it is to have a hot bath, you will find hot water over the penis will reduce the pain. when in the bath gently press the area around/above your pubic hair as I believe this promotes warm bath water to enter your urethra, easing the pain.

The above is my advice and experiences of living with this for many years, it has got to the stage now that I very rarely have the pain, If I do its because I did not follow my own advice and listened to my urges before using common sense.

I hope it helps some of you out there...

Had this problem for about a year. It now happens consistently every time. I've been to like 6 doctors, got an MRI, surgery for a cyst tht they thought caused it, the whole 9 yards. The only things that seems to help a bit is (a) fill a cup with ice and water and keep your junk in there, or (b) walk. DONT SIT. Ice works way better though. It'd be great if someone knew what was up

Haha I'm sitting here waiting for it to go away, not going to lie it sucks. But it eventually ALWAYS goes away.

best remedy for this -- heating pad...turn on high place on pelvic area (held in place by elastic from boxers/briefs helps)

cuts the "oh my god this is such a pain in the ass when will it stop" time in half and brings me to the "oh thank god thats over, now i can finally go to sleep" stage in about 10 minutes.

like others have said, im of the belief its largely a muscle related issue -- everyone notes it resolves itself within an hour or so.

just to make it clear: this has nothing to do with alcohol. i haven't had a drink in 3 years, and this happens to me on occasion still, and used to happen to me when i drank.

also: i rarely/never have had this after sex, only after a fap.

I am 28 now and I too have been having this problem from the last two years.  I was worried about it. But now I guess it's a common thing.  I actually thought that I get it when I don't drink that much of water and masturbate more times than usual (I don't drink any alcohol at all). When I get this pain what I do is I drink lot of water and try to urinate as much as possible. I don't how it happens but when I do that within  a maximum of 30-40 mins the pain goes off. Hope someone have a proper explanation to this.....
