Glad I found this. I'm 21 and have been experiencing this for on and off, probably 0-2 times per year for a very long time now. The first time I can remember having an incident with the same symptoms (not from masturbating of course) when I was 6 or 7 years old. Even though this occurs infrequently, it is really the worst feeling sitting on the toilet feeling like you need to pee and only getting drops. I really have not paid much attention to causes and factors in the past, but I will now start. From what I can tell, it is not caused by drugs or alcohol (had it way before I ever drank or smoked) but they do seem to be contributing factors. Thinking back, my urine is normally clear, presumably as a result of high liquid consumption, when this does happen so I would be curious if it is the same for others on here. I cannot ever recall having this issue during the daytime.

The best solution I have found is to just take my mind off of the pain then sit or stand and wait it out for about 15-30 mins. Sitting on the toilet and letting pee drizzle out only causes the pain to last longer. Have tried ejaculating to try to ease the pain but it usually doesn't help either. Taking a shower sometimes seems to help.

I'm 13 and i masturbate once a day (night), and i think im a little too hard is it possible cause i squeeze it to hard or something it's a little bit left of the head of the penis, and when i pee it's not like it's burning, more like small pain...

I'm age 32 and have experienced this occasionally for at least the last 10-15 years, same symptoms as everyone else: the tip of my penis burns and I feel a continuous urge to urinate, the pain resonates up into my urethra and if I continue trying to urinate it's increasingly painful and very little urine comes out.

I finally decided to google it as it is very uncomfortable.

It's pretty rare for me, maybe 5ish times a year and I get it more often when masturbating, especially when sitting down while ejaculating, and almost never from sex- only occasionally after ejaculating while on the bottom.

Consuming alcohol or soda or juice or anything that's not water in close proximity seems to make it more likely or at least more irritable, but doesn't seem to actually cause the problem.

I concur with everybody that the pain seems to stem from seminal fluid left in the penis after ejaculation and that it's likely somewhat prostate related, but sounds like it's not cause for alarm and can hopefully be avoided with a little precaution.

What works for me:

1. I always try to 'go vertical' when ejaculating- standing up from my chair or being on top when I cum (I'm sitting here after a not so vertical ejaculation and a beer beforehand)

2. Mind what I'm drinking and how much of it prior to and directly after sex or masturbation

If I wasn't careful and am in pain:

1. I drink plenty of water

2. Stand up and walk around if possible

3. I wait until I've had plenty of water and the pain has subsided a bit before I try to urinate again (sitting on the toilet trying to pee makes it much more painful for me)

4. Take ibuprofen

Glad to hear I'm not alone, surprised there isn't much medical knowledge of this since it seems so common.

I have had this problem most of my life ( roughly twice a year usually). It can be incredibly uncomfortable.

Do not pee!

You will have the strong urge to pee but peeing will only relieve it while your doing it and will return, sometimes worse once you stop.

I have found lying on my side on the bed with my penis tightly but not uncomfortably tucked between my thighs seems to relieve the pain in 10-15 minutes

I have to say, I Googled this problem and when it brought me to a page labeled "Penile Disorders," it scared the @#$% out of me. Thank God it's nothing serious--at least from the comments I've read; seems pretty common, benign (hopefully).

I'm in my 40s and get this on occasion, too. I rarely drink, and didn't drink today, or recently, but it just happened 10 minutes ago. The sequence of events that led to it today for me was as follows: I had a ton of fruit salad (extremely high liquid content), then "did my thing," had to urinate shortly afterward and it burned. I sat there for a while going a little at a time. Very annoying. I'm going to take the following advice from some of the above posts: I will not "do my thing" right after consuming large amounts of liquid, or after consuming food with a large amount of liquid content, but if I know that I won't have a choice (if I know that I will have to drink and then, for whatever reason, "do my thing"), then I will try to actually have cranberry juice first (even though that means adding more liquid); if not, I'll definitely try to have the cranberry juice after--although it's not exactly easily available. Anything to keep this from happening.

Hello guys,

I also have the same problem and have had it on and off for many years.

I googled it again a few weeks ago and came across this thread which left me feeling a little sorry for all with no answers and those worrying away.

Sooooo I went to my doctor (who is fairly good as doctors go) and asked for an answer and many more some of which weren't very nice.

Results say I definitely have no STI's, no cancers that they can tell so far and he ruled out a whole bunch of other possible problems.

What we are going for is a something called Prostatitis which completely makes sense as it can be a chronic condition:

I am now on a month course of antibiotics.

I hope this reply helps some of you guys get this sorted:

I must say the most important thing to do is to GO AND SEe YOUR DOCTOR.

FYI:

Prostatitis is a general term that refers to inflammation (swelling) or infection of the prostate gland. It can be very painful and you'll need to see your GP.

The prostate is a small gland found only in men, which lies between the penis and the bladder.

Symptoms of prostatitis include:

pain when urinating pain when ejaculating semen  problems urinating discomfort around the scrotum and at the tip of the penis These symptoms usually come and go over a period of months, but can sometimes start suddenly and be a medical emergency

There are two main types of prostatitis:

Chronic prostatitis, the most common type. Symptoms will have lasted for at least three months, although they may come and go and vary in severity. The cause isn't always clear. Acute prostatitis – symptoms are severe and develop rapidly. This is caused by a bacterial infection of the prostate gland. It's a medical emergency, as without prompt treatment with antibiotics, the prostate and surrounding areas can become damaged. An estimated 1 in every 10,000 men will develop acute prostatitis.

Outlook:

Chronic prostatitis can be challenging to treat, as little is known about the cause of the condition. In most cases, there isn't any bacterial infection.

Prostatitis caused by a bacterial infection will usually be successfully treated with antibiotics. Most men will make a full recovery within two weeks. Some men may find that symptoms return in the future, which will require further treatment.

Good luck

Hi guys, this thread has got to be one of the longest running in history!

When I found it and realised I'm not the only one who has experienced this it was such a relief. The fact that the first post was years ago says that there are loads of us out there who have this issue.

I've been reading the thread and trying to research on google as I've had this for many years (15 to be precise!).

LISTEN UP, I might have found something - check out 'retrograde ejaculation' and the 'pc muscle' (pubococcygeus muscle - the controller of urine flow which is supposed to contract during orgasm). Now, I'm no a doctor and I don't have any further diagnoses to add but the definitions what both of these things is makes a lot of sense to me when I think about 'razorpiss'.

Thoughts everyone?

Does everyone who suffers from this pinch their penis, or in anyway try to stop themselves from ejaculating? Feels like that could be the issue.

I've also had this problem for a few years... As said above, it's damage to the urethra after sex or masturbation. Then, the urine travelling passed probably microscopic cuts causes pain. I've always had that suspicion.

It just happened to me and I've not been drinking alcohol, however I did drink a lot of water right before sex so avoid drinking lot's of anything before sex, alcohol is a diuretic and makes you pee more often.

Annoying thing is I just downed another pint of water before reading this because it felt like my body was telling me to pee. Bring on the pain!

I have had this problem for about a year and a half now, i always make sure i wait at least 30 minutes after i go pee to masturbate, and wait 30 minutes to pee after i masturbate. The reason this happened is because u have two tubes in your penis, but only one is able to fit at the end, one tube comes from your bladder and one from your testicle, when you start to masturbate the side with the testes side gradually opens until you get pre-ejaculate (precum). When precum occurs u know that the "Cum Cord" is full open. If you ejaculate, then pee right afterwards, the sperm cord has to close VERY quickly and the pee cord has to open, and sometimes this quick act can cause inflammation in your penis, making you feel like you need to urinate. If this happens to you because you forget the 30 minutes procedure (happens to me every few months), i take a bottle of water that i store in my freezer (frozen solid) and put it under my testicles and also put it on the tip of the penis to help with the discomfort. Good Luck.

I have found 3 common denominators, drinking, not a full huge hard on, and not "clearing the pipes" all the way. One of these tends to lead to the rest.

okay i can give a little insight to this problem since i've been having the same problem for quite some time now. Whether you had sex or masturbated, always remember to give it a few minutes before going to urinate. I would say 5 minutes would be good. If you try to urinate right after sex or masturbation then you WILL feel an intense pain that it's unlike any other feeling you've felt. My assumption about the cause would be that, the semen and the urine combines some how and causes the pain. I don't think it's meant for urine and semen to mix together or pass through the same path as to speak. So try and wait a few minutes before urinating and you will be fine.

I'm 18. Before you all get on my case and say its illegal to drink before 21, I'm in Canada so it's 18 up here. Literally tonight, I drank a couple jäger bombs and a couple vodka on rocks. Got turned on, jerked off, then felt the urge to urinate. Well common sense says after so much liquid I must have to go by now, but oh my god... The feeling is like having a urinary tract infection just at the tip of your penis, and only when I masturbate or have sex after drinking does this phenomena occur, but I for one DID bring it up with my doctor, and I told him about his site and even he said he had issues with this growing up, there really is no name for this kind of event. but now I learned the hard way that after a couple beers, and you feel turned on, just cool off until at LEAST an hour or two after you drank your last sip
