Hi all,

I came back to this web-site because 4 months ago I was readying the posts felling the same pain and symptoms you are and I've made a promise that I would write my history to try to help you and show that there is a hope.

Around one year ago, I started feeling a weird and pain in my stomach, the pain was not sharp but constantly. As we usually do, I started going to doctors, making exams and all things you already know, the diagnostic was nothing. Passing the time the pain was getting worse and stated affecting my mood and depression and hopeless came in.

So then after 8 months in this condition I changed the way how to see life and how conventional medicine usually applies us the idea of everything has to be in the operation table or in pills, so I started looking for holistic approach and it blows my mind. I felt and believed in that style of live including mainly diet can save your life in all terms, fiscally and psychological. Also I started listen to my body and first thing I've noticed was the pain were more like in the skin or right under it, looked like it was in the fat tissue, something difficult to believe from a 6.1 foot high and 180 pounds and considerably fit.

My idea to solve my problem was to loose weigh, no matter what kind of fat I had, (I heard that some kind of fat your can not burn, but I didn't listen to that) I was determined to loose it, so it was when I knew Keto diet and decided to follow it.

This time was about 3 months before my birthday, in my inner I said: "In my birthday I will not be feeling any pain and I will loose how many fat and weight I can". Also I started using a belt to hold my belly when I was sitting to diminish the pressure on the fat.

Well, after 3 months of low carb ketogenic diet, intermittent fasting and exercising including ABS and cardio I loose 35 pounds. My belly is flat and my abs is skin and muscle, the pain was dissolved in all that effort and the will of living was back!

Guys, I know how difficult is when we are down and even worse with pain, but try to follow this steps:

- Have a target date and stick to it no matter whats happen in this path.

- If  your work requires too much sitting, buy a belt in velcro to hold your belly when sitting.

- Start low carb ketogenic diet.

- Include some cardio and ABS around 4 times a week.

- After few weeks, include intermittent fasting.

- Celebrate!

I wish you all the best, believe in yourself and have a breakthrough.

Regards,
R.

I've read your description of what you're feeling, and I had gone on for years without a diagnosis for a very similar array of complaints. Several replies mention Dercum's Disease, and that is the diagnosis I received after a decade of doctors throwing up their hands to my problem and prescribing cognitive behavioral therapy because they couldn't see anything physically wrong by standard testing methods. When they finally discovered a large lipoma in my neck, I added that symptom to my own research, and I kept bringing up pages describing Dercum's.

I sought out an adipose tissue disease specialist who confirmed that that was exactly what I had. I had pain in the fat everywhere, all over my body, especially around my abdomen, loads of digestive problems, petechiae, and un-explained blood pressure spikes.

I have all of this. I’ve been unwell for so many years and I’ve finally been diagnosed with mold illness/ Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS or known as Biotixin illness ); Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS); Pyrolle Disorder (Pyroluria) and plenty more.

Our fat is where most toxins are stored in our body. I am always in pain like you described, but mine has been heightened since having surgery a few years ago (mummy makeover which included liposuction and repair to my abdominals). Every time I use my core muscles, I’m super sore over the next 3 days and it’s like I’ve just had surgery all over again the pain is so intense! Then I get the itching like it’s healing again, but this happens in a cycle repeatedly and never ending! It feels like I’m always tearing then healing. I literally have to punch my stomach to try to relieve the internal itching!

So my thoughts are, it’s inflammation. Scar tissue can be affected greatly by inflammation.
Oh and I have heaps of other symptoms too from the mold illness and CIRS and some days I’m bedbound and not even able to brush my hair. I’m always fatigued to the extreme, heart rate sky rockets with any incline movement or sometimes for no reason at all and I’m weak as a kitten (it’s definitely not my muscles, it feels like the fatty layer or fluid under my skin that’s poisoned - this is very hard to explain).

I react to almost every food (with either migraine, vomiting, or the pain in my fatty tissue like you mentioned) and just absolutely exhausted all the time yet I have so much trouble sleeping. So many more symptoms like tingling and numbness, static shocks, feeling of Chinese burn and lactic acid buildup without any exercise;... it’s hard to live like this, especially when these sort of diagnosis’ aren’t known and people are ignorant!

Anyway this is the first time I’ve come across someone with these issues of the fatty tissue being sore. So thought I’d comment!

I’ve just started seeing a functional medicine doctor who is versed in all my ailments plus Lyme disease and others. I haven’t had progress yet because my body is so reactive to everything. ive started taking a binder which mops up the toxins in your body and eliminates through the bowels. I’m hoping I will improve with this along with a super clean diet (only grass fed whole cuts of beef - no minced or aged meats because of my histamine intolerance - some chicken without any fat, and steamed greens. Plus pink salt and water. That’s it. Nothing else, no coffee tea, nothing! It’s the only diet that semi-agrees with me

What causes fatty tissue on your belly to hurt?

I have been having pain under my right ribs, but closer to the center of my abdomen and above my belly button. Just brushing my hand over my skin can be excruciating. It often feels like I am being stabbed, the pain is very sharp. I don't feel it inside if I have an empty stomach, so I don't eat very frequently, or large amounts at a time. My blood work is good. Hepatic function panel all normal, cbc, cmb, urinalysis all came back good so far. I had more blood work today and a CT-scan Monday. I have awful constipation, but I have a history of that anyway, it is just worse lately, I am bloated and I have no appetite which works for me since eating ends up hurting. These are my only symptoms. No vomiting, fever, diahrea, heartburn, acid reflux, etc. Just this stabbing pain that makes no sense. My doctor said it's not in the right place to be my gallbladder, an aortic anurism, a hernia. I have a family history of colon cancer so my transverse colon is a consideration, but after reading all of these comments, I feel like I need to look into dercums and other possibilities. I have had issues before and could touch my skin. This is awful. I have to wear loose clothing. Like there is some serious nerve damage, or tearing or something under the surface of my skin. But if I pinch it, no pain at all. I am so confused. I don't know where the pain is even coming from. So I don't know if it's even in my skin, I just know whatever it is, it sure hurts when I to the touch. I hope a year later everyone has found the answers and relief.

I'm experiencing the same exact thing, but without sweating and being hot. Mine are hard nodules all over my body. They've adhered to my rib cage. They are different shapes and sizes. Extremely painful!! I cry with them. My rheumatologist said they're lipomas, but lipomas are soft. I need answers! There has to be a test that can be done to find out what they are. I'm covered in them!
