I have had kidney stones many times & none of them have been too large, was hospitalized the 1st time because I had an infection & pain was severe. The size does not matter as far as the pain goes, if it's stuck or in the urethra, it's gonna hurt!! Ask them to do another test that will show you if there are any in that area.
Like most of you I have so many pains/symptoms, and no solutions! I've been having major lower abdominal right side pain. I've had 2 cysts in my ovaries, which went away on their own. I have had a colonoscopy because I have bloating, gas and cramping. Nothing abnormal came out. I've had pelvic ultrasounds, and MRI's. My period is irregular and I get major cramps during it and at ovulation time. I have rectum shocks and pain off and on during the month. I get pain during sex and after sometimes. Also I have very heavy bleeding/clots during my menstruation cycle. I've been trying to get pregnant, since January and we are in May and still no luck. I'm wondering if I also will have an infertility problem. I am desperate to find out what I have and no one seems to put all these symptoms in perspective. I've suffered from all these pains for about 2 years. I believe it may be endometriosis, cystis, and/or a combination of problems. Anyone have some information for me!

I have been having pain in my pelvic area and lower back for a little over 3 months now.C/T scan showed 2 stones in my kidney but are very small and "shouldn't be causing any pain." Also there is an ovarian cyst on right ovary but it soo is small and "shouldn't be causing any pain." Well I am having pain from somewhere and I am getting nowhere. My family doc in of no help and ob-gyn wants me to have a hysterectomy. I want relief not a hysterectomy. I need answers, anyone with similar problems?

Hi...

I'm Nicola and I live in England.

I did a Google to see if there was anyone else out there who was having the same problems as I have been.

In 2000 I had kidney stones and had to go through all the ways of getting rid of them.....Every thing was great until 2005 when I had them back again.

We went through 7 operations of lazer treatment as the lithotripsey would break them down and two awful stents.....

Then in 2006 I had my gall bladder removed which we found out was full of stones and not in good shape.

Everything seems to have been ok..........Last summer I started to get some pain in my right hand side but didn't think anything of it.

Then at the same time this year it happened again...Pain on my right hand abdomen and groin area.

I just went for a Xray and it showed a small stone in my left hand kidney.....but nothing on the right where the pain is.

Now im not one to make illness's up...the pain is real and hurts a lot. It comes and goes and the only way I can explain it is its like having a kidney stone and pain.......

Im not sure what this indicates or where I go from here.....

I have been referred to my consultant again who is away for two weeks on vacation........

Hugs

Nicola
It could be scar tissue from 7 mm stone. I had an 8 mm stone removed from left kidney(which nobody could find until they went in) now i get phantom pain from scar tissue due to damage caused by large stone. ask you dr about it

The acne is normally activated by hormonal changes. The supra renal gland (also known as adrenal) sits atop the kidney. That is something to consider if all failed to explain the pain. Another source of hormonal changes will be ovaries. I hope this helps.
I have been experiencing pain on and off for a few months now. But recently the pain became steady and I started have urinary issues, too. so I recently went to the Dr; he said the urine was clean, but since I had other symptoms he went ahead and put me on sulfur based antibiotic. Only it hasnt helped. I thought the pain maybe painful ovulation, but that shouldnt last this long. I have had Interstital Cystitis (spelling?) for about 4 years now, but never the abdomen/back pain, so I am at a loss what to do. The Dr hasnt been much help so far.
I am early 30 yr old guy living a normal life until 3 months ago when I went to work and bought my usual morning coffee. 1 hour later I had a pain on left side which got to a severe pain by nooon. I went to the doctors in the afternoon and he thought I had kidney stones. He sent me for a CAT/SCAN with contract fluid in the veins and MRI which revealed that I had Hydroenphrosis of the kidney. Basically I had a vein crossing the tube that went from my kidney to the bladder so that when I drank something that made my kidney work ie coffee, beer, excessive water, etc..the kidney would really be trying to pump out liquid but the tube was being squeezed and hence the fluid could not move out of the kidney. The kidney would swell and become irritated. After further test ie nuclear isotope, which allows them to make a video of your kidney/organ functioning they discovered that my left kidney functioned at about 60 -70% of the right kidney. The solution was to cut the tube off the kidney and relocate it in a new location on the kidney. With new surgical techniques ie laposcopic (spelling) it was easy.
Had the exact same pain..had a pelvic sonogram..had a tumor removed from my right ovary. I also had a fribroid and endometrosis. three weeks later still having the same pain..going back to the doctor for answers. You can have your doctor do a MRI or pelvic sonogram. :?
I have been having the same problem for two years and I have kidney stones and ovarian cyst but my doctors tell me thats all it is. Its got to be more then that because there's times I cant even move. If anyone knows of any other medical condition this could be let me know. I'm 24 and they want to do a hysterectomy on me. I'm to young to be doing this right now. I cant even stand on my feet more then 4hours at a time because the pain is so bad.Thank you
Similar symptoms .... heathly my whole life, had a slight back injury seven years ago - with back therapy, finally healed after much time. All of a sudden after a new workout regiment I have been doing for a year, I developed stomach pain, right flank pain, back pain and spams, arm pain, loss of appetite, etc. They tested me for everything - kidney, spleen, gallbladder, liver, appendix, ovaries, stomach, bowels - you name it. Everything came up normal including multiple blood tests. Upon many visits to my dr, she finally sent me to a physcial therapist - PhD. He diagnosed me with a severe muscle strain in my back which he believes is causing all the muscles in my body to harden like stone and hurt from tensing up from the spasms in the back. They literally said it could take three months to heal the strain I have put on my body. They are using heat ultrasound, electronic pulsing to relax muscles, moist heat, and a progression of exercises. I have been to three sessions, three days in a row. We'll see how things progress. I keep wondering if this is finally the answer, but he assures me that this will heal me.
