I've had smiliar problems to what a lot of you are describing, although I wouldn't say I had lumps but my left side of my neck is inflamed slightly. It hurts to chew and I get a semi-dull pain in my jaw bone/just under my ear bit... I do have problems with stiff necks though so I'm going to try less pillows before I see a doctor...
I had/have many of the same symptoms; lump under my jaw bone, trouble swallowing, intermittent ear pain, general fatigue, weight loss and nausea... turns out I have chronic osteomyleitis. Osteomyleitis is an infection that has entered the bone! Visit your dentist!! If you have diabetes, or if you've had any dental work done, even years ago, you might have osteomylietis. If the lump under your jaw persists ask your doctor to check your white blood count at very least.
Good luck!

Hi,
I am having the same problem, I have moveable lumps underneath my jawbone, sometimes I feel nothing and other times, it hurts just to put my chin to my chest.
Has anyone found out anything about this?

I have a very similar problem.. I have lumps under the Jaw on both sides. If I move my head back, the lumps hide under the jaw and cannot be felt but when I try to touch the chin to my chest moving my head down, the lumps pop out and can be felt easily. When touched both of these lumps move only in one direction, back under the Jaw. I have had this for years and the pain seems to come back when I have sore throat or some mouth infection. Can anyone please shed any light ?

Okay...I have been having similiar problems as everyone else. Thank God I'm not alone. I noticed a lump under my left jaw bone about 7 months ago. At the time my face was hurting but the pain only lasted a day. Though the lump stayed. Not only did it stay but new, smaller lumps have also decided to grow under my right jaw. I've been to see my main doctor, my dentist and my ENT (who is still on the case). No one has found anything. The lumps are also in a very difficult place to feel. My friends and even my mother say they can't feel anything. Well, I feel them and sometimes they hurt, especially when I WAKE UP FROM DRINKING ALCOHOL. The day after drinking they are very tender and feel maybe even a bit larger. Honestly, I am pretty healthy and I have no other symptoms. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME????

Sometimes though I feel I can't breath from my nose to my mouth. I also have TMJ issue's major and they say the pain in my jaw and under my jaw down my throat and my speach issue's are all related! I don't know what I believe, I've been through so many tests, mri's cat scans, blah blah blah! I think it's being antious that something else is wrong with me that causes the stop breathing feeling. I'm going back to my ear nose and throat dr. tomorrow I want him to check for the salavory glads and if they are swollen.

i have a similar thing. anyone else have pain in the back of your neck too. Might try having your drs look at your spine. disk movement or something
I also have pain that starts in my jaw and goes to my throat and then to my chest. It has happened twice so far and the 2nd time was worse than the first. The pain was so bad I almost couldn't take it. :'(
I have a similar problem. i hae a small lump on my jaw bone. It has been hurting and itching more then usual. I have had it for several years now and decided I should probably tell my doctor. I told my dentist who checked it out but he told me to tell my doctor. I've had the ear ache too but just passed it off as an ear ache not connected to my lump. My co working went into surgery last week to get a lump on her lower jawbone removed. I'm tired off it but I'm hoping my doctor has another way besides surgery.
I have the same problem. I have been sick with pain in the left side of my throat and ear for over a year. I starting hearing a click and then a cracking sound when I move my head on the same side. Come to find out I am diagnosed with TMJ/arthritis in the neck and fibromyalgia. I have been miserable for over a year. I usually work 2 jobs, I had to leave one of the jobs because of the time lost from going to doctors and just misery. I go to physical therapy, acupuncture, acupressure. To make it worse there is a smell in my nose and I keep having muscle spasms in my head, neck and face. I hope to get better soon. The quality of life is minus zero
ive had the same thing and it hurts like crazy but mine go away every few weeks and apear only once a few months
I too had pain (sharp and piercing) under my jaw bone on the side of my throat that was triggered by swallowing, breathing, tooth brushing, talking etc. for several years until I had surgery to put a cushion between a nerve and artery in the base of my brain. The pain was SEVERE and occurred about every few minutes even when I slept. Hope this could be helpful. If you would like to contact me use my email address above.
iam a b pharma student , i made my research on this topic and i think these pains are mostly due to the acid reflux because pains radiate to several areas nearby where it has started.
i suggest you all to consult gastroenterologist . i hope it will give you the best positivse results.
my uncle is in acute stage of this pains . he is getting relief after his getting treatment from gastroenterologist.
this may lead to severe stomachache, coughing, allergitic.
