I was also was in the military when i started getting bumps/pimples all over my head. Happened when i went to the middle east and started breaking out .

I have been out now for about 3 years and still have this problem. Have a lot of scarring and pimples that wont go away.

Use alcohol on my head everyday to try to control it but theres weeks were I have major breakouts.

I have also have a severe problem of acne on the back of my head. It started when I went to the middle east, but that was 8 years ago now, and it is still a problem.

I get really nasty pimples on the back of my head only. Nowhere else. They bleed and form pustules, and no dermatologist seems to know exactly what it is. I have tried about 20 different shampoos (including presription), anti-biotics (pills/topical/etc), and even Neosporin. No such luck. I now have quite a bit of scarring there too. I am considering checking out Proactiv.

It is quite a problem for me because I am military, and have to maintain a short haircut.

Hope a dermatologist chimes in!

Has anyone took the shot in back of the head? I didn't take it, I went to another doctor who has been giving me natural pills that I have to take to detox. I just hope that everyone who has this problem can get rid of it. I hope my post can help.

Purchase zinc capsules from the store and take with a full class of water. You will see a difference and the bumps will no longer be a problem. :)

I solved it: too fast absorption of carbs: e.g oats, fruit sugars...

...basically, I eat low GI foods and I avoid sugar now, including fruit and juice and skin is completely better. I can eat fruit with fat (such as yoghurt) which slows down the absorption of carbs.

I have the same problem and spent scountless of money for consultations and anti-biotic medicines. I have been so hopless with these bumps on the back of my head that I know now, they are parts of me and learn how to live with them ( Just act as if they were not there).
