Sea Salt water will help clean out the glands and reduce appearance of "pimples"

I'm 43 now and I noticed this started happening to me when I was pregnant with my first child at 19. I was too embarrassed to ever talk to anyone about it. I've been trying to clear them off for years...totally unsuccessfully of course. I thought I was the only one dealing with this. Now I know they will never go away and that's fine. DON'T pop them because it does make them bigger and darkens the skin like a scar. One did get infected and now I have a pea-sized scar from it plus others that are smaller. My husband does not care about this at all (he's sweet) but I was really ashamed about it for years because I thought it made me look unclean or I was a weirdo or something. I WISH I knew 24 years ago what I just learned from you today. I WISH they talked about this in sex-ed in school. I WISH my OB/GYN had told me about this or given me info about it. Please talk to the ladies/girls you know about this in an appropriate way so they don't spend their lives feeling bad or making it worse. UGH...how ridiculous that so many of us are not informed of this simple and common fact of life and have suffered for it.

All of this information seems to be for women.  I am as male as you can get, but I just noticed a white pimple right in the center of my nipple. I am going to leave it alone and see if it dries up , if not I will mention it to my Dr.  I think your website has answered my concern. Thank you!

I am 31 and have had these same pimple like bumps on my nipples since I was a teenager.  I use coconut oil for everything (its a freakin miracle food) and finally got the bright idea 2 nights ago to use some on my nipples.  I kid you not, after 2 days, the bumps are almost completely flat.  COCONUT OIL!  I also use it as a night cream (my wrinkles are going away), on my spider veins, on sunburns, as a mouth rinse....everything.

You might also have a cyst, if you've never had it before and it suddenly appeared, and it's right in the center of your nipple. Montgomery glands should be just on the areola and near the nipple, and you would have had them since puberty. Make sure to keep an eye on it!

It's also a great lubricant... for you know... But thank you for this tip! I'm going to try coconut oil! How frequently did you put it on?

HI :) I am also your age (and have had them for at least 7 years). I'm a bit of a skin picker - so every now and again I squeeze them and some of them are easy to get that white stuff out of - others - not so much - (and it doesnt really hurt usually). Afterwards though, I end up with and little scabs (obviously even less attractive than the montgomary gland bumps prior to squeezing) - AND each time- I tell myself - "DON'T DO THIS AGAIN"... "Seriously, what is wrong with me?!"  but them a month or so later... when I'm bored or stressed (sigh) anyway - I guess my self restraint is another issue altogether but I was really just checking online to see whether it is THAT bad to squeeze them? I realize it's a bad habit (and Im an id**t) and of course there's a risk of infection anytimeyou break the skins barrier.... I havent had any infection - but I wonder if I'm doing any long term damage... worst case scenario breast cancer and picking/ squeezing these little pustules... part of my brain laughs at this idea and tells me im being a hypercondriac but the other part is wondering... we still dont really know what causes some types of breastcancer and I doubt that I am reducing my risk of developing it - by inflicting (localised) 'trauma' to my areolas.... now and again... (maybe every couple of weeks on average)... anyone got any thoughts/ and/or emotions?

I have the same issue. On the pink skin surrounding the extruding center right? I had no trouble popping them, although it may have stung a little since the skin is so sensitive there.

well mine is at the ipt of the nipple and get irritated and sore
does this still sound like Montgomery tubercles?
