dont try to remove it unless you want hair around your penis. im growing more hair on my penis all the time. and i always remember to wash in around my penis hair. i want to grow lods of armpit hair and lots of hair on my penis

Yes, this is quite common, particularly if you are a hairy person, i.e hairy legs, arms, chest, shoulders, if you have not got hairs, or only a few hairs elsewhere on your body, you will only have hairs at the base of your penis.

I have this problem as well and it has caused some insecurities with sex. I've been thinking about laser treatments but to avoid the cost, stumbled upon the option of trying No!No! It's a personal hair removal system and the reviews seem to be pretty good with it. Has anyone else looked into this at all?

Hi, I also began developing hair around the base of my penis when I was around 13. At first I thought it was normal until it started growing on my penis and it spread up my abdomen to my chest. Over the course of the next few years, it spread more and it now covers my testicles and almost the entire length of my penis shaft. The hair is also very thick and seems to be getting longer. I also have an abnormally large amount of thick dark hair on the rest of my body now, too. My feet are even hairy. My doctors have commented on it during check-ups and my latest doctor ran a test and found out that my testosterone level was far above the normal range and he said this is likely what has caused the excessive hair growth, among other things. He said it is uncommon but he has seen a couple other cases of this but not to the same degree I have. I have never tried to shave it or pluck it out. I will be 19 in August and my current girlfriend actually likes my hairy body so I have no real reason to want to try and remove it. Just sayin, not all girls think body hair is unattractive, some actually think it's a turn-on. She even gave me a nickname, she calls me "Werewolf" lol. So hang in there, everybody, I know how you feel because I used to hate being so hairy, too. Maybe as time goes on you will learn to accept it and find someone who does also.

Im 19, I've also got some hair growing on the shaft of my penis, not a lot, (or all the way to the tip, since I have a 7.5 inch penis and I figure it spreads from the base towards the tip), but it's dark coarse hair, and more concentrated towards the base.
Im not circumcised so it has nothing to do with that, but having those hairs is kind of annoying and frustrating..
I used a razor once, but the stubble and itchy feeling was not comfortable, so I suggest using tweezers; just make sure they are clean! 
Im not particularly hairy elsewhere either, not much facial, chest, or armpit hair, mostly just my lower body, so don't feel like you are alone with this problem!
I'd like to try the lazer hair removal on my shaft (and maybe scrotum), cause the hair makes me uncomfortable, and I feel like it is a turn off for the ladies. I just want some reassurance that the procedure is safe, and that it wont cause any problems in the future.

dajaguar, I assume that the 'turning me on' is because my wives pubic hair shows whenever she wares a bathing costume or bikini, it turns me on as well, I remember when we were on holiday with our children, the hairs seeping out of her bathing costume after coming out of the water were very noticeable. I mentioned this to her later, but she refused to shave or trim off any because she wants to stay hairy and natural. Almorr: I'm glad your wife can wear a bikini. Eric doesn't mind having his pubic hairs spilling out from a Speedo, but I wear a bikini only when Eric and I are in a private setting. Otherwise I'd certainly get stared at! (Well, come to think of it, Eric DOES stare at me!) Like you, Eric has extremely hairy arms and legs, and the hair on the backs and sides of his thighs is so thick it's hard to see the skin under it. The feel (and sight) of those arms and legs is a massive turn-on for me. Sex, as you say, is an absolute wow -- and by the way, I find it fun to clean off Eric's penis hairs with my tongue when we're all finished. Wow, Emily you sound just like my girlfriend lol. She likes my hairy body the same way you like your boyfriend's. He and I have very similar body types, I also am extremely hairy all over my body and i have hair on the shaft of my penis, too. You and my girlfriend seem to have alot in common!

Thanks so much Emily for responding to my post so quickly. I realized that I was getting very hairy as early as 15. My uncle took me to swimming lessons and I noticed afterwards when we were all drying ourselves that I was a lot more hairy than men many years older than me, I noticed in particular my private parts and legs were really hairy compared with these men. When I got back to school, the other boys in my class wondered why my penis was getting so hairy, the hairs were growing right up nearly to the top.
