i have the same problem, it started a year ago at the worst time when i got my first long term relationship, and the first time i had sex. since then iv bin with 3 other girls and they havent noticed, i shave it, but im gonna try plucking it, i know it might hurt but i can deal with that if it goes away for a week. the biggest issue with this is that you pretty much have to guess when your gonna get some. you cant just have sex randomly.

thats crazy, i thought i was the only one but looks like it happends in alot of males. I started to notice mine when i was 17 and its only on the underside of the penile area up the shaft. But like the other guy said. Just get a good pair of tweezers i don't mind the pain, please will always come. my girlfriend has noticed but doesnt care, just make sure to keep them plucked. Using your fingers to pluck in quantity can save you time as well. Im keeping this bookmarked

I also have this problem. I think I started noticing this at around 28, which is a bit weird (also, I am not circumsized). The hairs are like the hairs covering my head - frustraitingly thin (obviously not frusraiting for my lower regions though). I shaved my head once every couple of days, for about 4 years (because it's embarrassing - not because I'm a nazi), and I've now grown my hair back (30) to see the same extremely light weight consistency. So I don't think I believe the shaving = thicker and corser hair theory.
I've tried plucking - but that is way too much pain for me. I can't even get the hair out of the root before the tears start. I tend to use a grade 1 for my pubes whenever needed. Whilst there, I'll click the grade off (so it's just the metal teeth). I'll click the teeth back 1 notch (so there's maybe 1mm's room for error), pull my penis out as far as I can (so absolutely no slack of foreskin), and shave away. This is kinda effective in the short term, but I'm thinking of trying a lightweight ladies hair removal cream. If this works and doesn't burn a hole in my penis, then it'll mean getting all the hair.. and just popping it on before or in the shower. Someone (Dr Dave?) suggested inhibitory cream once plucked, and this will help permanant removal? I think I'm gonna try this with the cream. Sweeet.

It started when I was 24...I noticed one or two fine hairs on my shaft but didn't worry too much about it at first. Now the growth is much more visible and I also have bumps from the hair follicles.
I think I could live with it the way it is now but I have the feeling that there will be more growth in the future, that's why I've started looking for treatment options.
The only permanent solution to this problem seems to be electrolysis where the roots are destroyed by an electrical current. It's a pretty time consuming procedure ( several sessions needed) and not cheap. Laser seems to be the easier option at first but it usually does not give good results in the long term, (i.e. most people experience regrowth at a later stage) at least that's what I have been reading again and again on message boards and also what I have been told by several dermatologists who are not in the "laser business".
Being in the medical field, I recently saw a young guy rushed to an emergency ward because he had cut a vein on his penis from shaving, so be careful !

im a 30 year old man thats been dealing with this since age of 15 when my girlfriend of the time enjoyed shaving me down there i have read the previous posts and been shall we say alarmed i have no quick fix answers im simply saying from my experience shaving has made hair regrow thicker and wish id stayed well clear of plucking the hairs out pain isnt an issue but ingrown hairs are everybody is different you may or may not get them time ive wasted trying to release them accompanied buy minor scarring granted you pluck them all out and feel great cos it looks silky smooth but there coming back i once spent 2 months trying to release 1 thought id made a massive scar like a hole finally got it out and it healed over i am currently thinking laser only answer but again im no expert and not yet done it just know im ready for my sex and love life to be more than drunk women i meet in clubs and pubs (quickies) and have the confidence back to wake up with a decent woman read lots of posts about this in past but first time replied to one my advice leave them alone or trim down but not to short and stubbly see a real doctor or well established beautician women have hairs they dont want too there must be a fix for this

I have this as well. About 4-5 years ago, I went to a woman for electrolysis. It definately is painful, as well as uncomfortable in general. I found a well expereinced person with near 40 years of expereince, so she did it pretty well. I was a little concerned about the cleanliness because her electrolysis equipment was old...it did work well - I went back once or twice per year for touch-up. Its the only way apparently to get rid of this annoyance and painful situation...Steve

I had this - my research showed the following (after calling a few hair removal places); the only permanent option is electrolysis Laser is NG, and topical creams/wax are only temporary. Electrolysis is very painful but it does work. It comes back a little, but it works. I had a small area done over the past few years. They stick a needle into the skin and apply current, killing the hair call. Its also rather embarrasing but its the only thing that works. Most people who do it are females, but I hear that a few men do it as well...I don't know which is more embarassing...anyways, it works. Mkae sure that the needles are clean; I used a person with old equipment and I don;t think she changed the needle (just cleaned it), but I read that modern equipment has disposable needles. Steve

hello again 30 year old that posted on 09/12/09 0732 just checking up on response would also like to thank steve as i said i havent had laser just wanted to mention again i REALLY do not recommend plucking to give more detail im not an expert just notice some younger people on here could save themselves some wasted time and emotion from my experience bad mistake lots of expansion occurs on penis for obvious reasons the skin and tissue is constantly moving i have counted 19 unwanted hairs from base to halfway up im 9 inch un circumsized (circumcision apparantly can be an issue with penis hair no idea why) main reason replying again its been my issue for a while no ones mentioned it even up real close but its like a thing ive really focused on when you pluck a hair its a lottery where it travels to come back out this can cause big lumps or hole looking scars until there released plz do not do this im by no means excessive hairy and apart from porn star waxing types completely normal do not make a normal situation worse as i did i am gonna book an appointment with a specialist and will update im glad found this post as it seems to be recent its just a situation where if you found a fix why would you be on here again dont pluck and dont shave too close trim if they get caught using a condom and if you dont where 1 during sex hairs maybe last of your worries a decent girlfriend wont give a sh*t about them just wish id realised or found a decent answer before it became an issue on a personal note

I just spoke with a place this past week, and the woman told me that laser was very much appropriate for this, as long as the hair was darker. Apparently the optics need a darker color to function as intended. I am very hesitant though as several other 'experts' previously told me that laser was NOT acceptable for this (more than one). When I asked her about this, she insisted it was. I am going to research this on my own because it's my health at stake, and one of the two may be incorrect...I do know that everybody agrees that elec is the guarenteed solution, painful as it is...Steve

I have had the same problem for many years. i've been shaving it and i can't take it anymore. My girlfriend worked in a med spa and i was gonna have it lazered. lazers don't completely remove the hair it will only make the hair less corse. that is a good thing but you will still have hair. i've thought about nair but heard it will only work on fine hair, not corse. might have to try plucking. get this undercontrol while you are young. i think back to all the missed opertunities and it sucks. i don't mean just sex but missing out on the opertunity to date some nice girls because i was scared.
