hey im so glad to find other people having this problem. and its really depressing me too. i started to realize this when i was in 8-9th grade, but first realized it was a big problem a year ago, and did go to the doctor 3 months ago. The doctor didnt take me serious when i said i wanted to get it lazer'd and said it was perfectly normal for men to get hair all over there penis. ye maybe, but its still frikkin annoying especially when girls give you blowjob. actually also had that sexual fear caused of this. But ye im also willing to have some stranger lazer my penis, if it can get this sh*t gone forever. But damn thought i was the only one with this problem, and the doctor was just talking BS to me. but hope yall figure it out, and sounds like lazer is the only way, and i live in denmark so all my applications to private cliniques have to go through my doctor, so i guess ill just have to say that i really want a lazer operation, and this is a big problem.

I'm a 32yr old & at 29 i started getting hair folicles 'bumps' at the root of my knob (topside) as hair started to grow up the shaft. o.O
I used to backshave in the opposite direction of the hairs on the sides of the lower shaft b4 i had this 'problem', as this kept it smooth. But now i think may have contributed to what i have now; black hairs and white bumps all over my tanned penis. :$
I have to use tweezers daily as i dont like seeing even 1 hair sticking out, it does'nt hurt to pluck it is just annoying to have to keep doing it and i end looking at it feeling a bit depressed.
*Word of warning* make sure u keep ur tweezers clean, i got a lump which i had to cut off and it bled leaving a scar....
I am considering laser removal, i am looking at cosmetic clinics and i think Bupa Healthcare offer it but i am not sure, i want my 400+ dollars to count...
Then i look on this board and some say electrolisis is the way to go %-) damn i wish there was a straight answer as this IS a common problem.
Even went to my doctor who told me to do nothing! just let them grow! well i told him he was useless.

You may not believe this, but I just went to a laser treatment place on Thursday (yesterday). I should have known by all the attention they gave me (very personalized treatment...lengthly emails - selling their services etc). We discussed the process, which requires five treatments, each progressiely weakening the hair follicle. They had a specific diagram for the male groin as this is very common they say. I was hesitsnt about the safety, since they ask if I am on any meds, specifying a few, which indicates that there are complications...then they repeatedly ask when that last time the area was in the sun...I planed on doing my shoulders first, to see how the reaction & process was...I asked the price and she said [approx] $350 per side each treatment...that means approx $3500 to do my shoulders five treatments. The groin I believe was approx $600 x 5...this is crazy money to me...I was fully expecting to walk out after a treatment for $40. The woman who I had el;ectrolysis done for the past few years only charged approx $40 each time, but she was retired and doing this as a part-time business i suppose, plus the equipment was very old. I don't plan to spend $3000 for laser until i research it more...Steve

Ive had this situation too, but what I do is shave it and sometimes use the tweezers like the other guy said it helps reduce the time of hair growth IMO... BTW My girlfriend hasnt noticed about it hehe thats important I guess...

Yeah, i have this problem too. I'm 13. I started gettin this horrible frikkin thing about a year ago. I never really thought about it thinking its normal. it may be normal, but it's still a downer. I'm self concious about girls judging that sh*t. I do shave it, but it grows back in a day or two. It is all over the bottom of the shaft and in the middle too. I'm thinking this is a cause of a circumsision i got when i was 11?

Yep iv got the same problem, but i hav only tiny very thin and small hairs which grow all the way up to but not on the head of my penis, the main think pubic hair only grows up to and a little bit on the base of my acutal penis. The hairs are barely noticable when i dont shave them, so i dont worry about it too much. i have had many girlfriends none of them have noticed or complained and iv never been worried about them seeing! i do however shave my penis maybe once a week at most, this sorts out the problem and doesnt provide any discomfort. i do get one or two pimples on the base of my penis which do hurt but they go after a couple of days. Basically laser treatment seems abit risky especially with the what if it went wrong??? :s shaving is fine and hairs dont grow back thicker or faster. Just do it part of your shower routine. hope this has helped. Glad to fine out other people have the same problem as me. lol.

I cannot believe I found this forum. Is this an American or British site? anyways, i've been looking for answers for years. I'm still in shock that i finally found this. I've been plucking mine for years. I'm 23. Someone said something about the scrotum skin rising up because of the circumcision being cut too close. And THAT ties to something else. When i was 15 i walked into my kitchen and my parent's both said "eric, we are sorry for circumcising you." I immediately said ummm what and walked out because of embarrassment never speaking of it again. That moment has lived with me for years because i never said well mom and dad, why? I feel like i've found a brotherhood on here ha! But seriously, this stuff is pretty embarrassing. I have been trying to pluck the uppermost hairs and leave the lower hairs to grow a few more days b4 getting rid of them.
By doing this i think it will slow the growth of new hair follicles (white bumps) higher up. What do you think?
My penis is covered half way up the shaft with white bumps and they have formed on the sides right up to the head
The other day i bought some nair hair removal cream 'for the bikini line' after reading that over time this will make them dissapear, but on the packet it says: 'not for the genital area'. I could find no cream for genitals in the 4 shops i went in.
I plucked and applyed the cream immediately and it seemed to work slightly but left it sore with small scabs where i suppose the chemical burnt the skin a bit. I've not used it since but i may do, i will let you know.
I have a chance to meet a girl this xmas with a strong possibility of sex but i am worried.
Under low light levels i can hardly see the white bumps but under daylight it is very noticable. When my penis is hard (no probs there 8) it's less noticable but it always feels slightly rough to the touch.
I intend to find a reputable cosmetic clinic (even if i have to travel) to get laser treatment in the hope this will cure my condition, i've heard that it costs around £200 per treatment and that i will need 2 or more sessions, but i want it done as soon as i can afford it.
There are 2 or 3 types of laser machines they use for different skin types, apparently darker skin makes it easier for removal, (so i may be in luck as this is the only part of me that is tanned), but they do cater for other skin types.
I have bookmarked this thread and will update my experiences often so dont be shy, share yours and any helpful info on laser / electrolosis treatments, if we all contribute we can find a solution.....

I used to get electrolysis but now just use wax. Its temporary but works OK. Too much of a pain doing elec, difficult to find people to do it and laser was about $1500 for three sessions. Steve V.
