This might help you all if not, most of you. I had this issue for over a month so I was given a material cream that I used everyday in the shower(that's how I was told to use it) after a month, there was no change. I was willing to try anything at this point so I looked in the medicine cabinet and found my wife's canesten. I tried it out and the next morning I noticed a slight difference. So I started applying it on once in the morning and once at night. After the 4th day, it was gone. I used it for 5 days to make sure there was no trace of it left. I have not had any issues for over 2 weeks now.

Meant to say I was given bacterial cream...

Also I am not a doctor or anything like that. Just tried canesten and it helped me.

I've been experiencing close to the same problem. Accept the spots do not itch but they have started to be sore since the issue "flaired up" recently. I noticed a spot or two while still sexually active but have since stopped and I almost forgot about it. Until recently when the problem returned, I went to see my doctor and he was suppose to set my up with an appointment with a urologist but seeing that my doctors a useless ***** I haven't heed back yet. They did not get sore to the touch until it started to get quite bad and now some of the spots (dots) are becoming raw. I'm going away on a trip soon and this issue has got me quite nervous though I am going to get them checked out elsewhere before I leave. Any more info on the topic would be greatly appreciated!

Balanitis in uncircumcised males is know as Balanoposthitis. It is the inflammation of the gland of the penis and prepuce. There are numerous causes for Balanoposthitis and can broadly be divided into inflammatory, infective and precancerous. Since the signs and symptoms described in this forum may be a result of a different conditions it is important to let your primary care provider see it before taking further actions.

If the cause of the inflammation is determined to be from candidiasis (fungal) there are some things you can do. Personal hygyne is very important but avoid irritants such as antibacterial soaps, fragrant soaps, fabric softener, detergents, perfumes etc. .Do not over wash the genital area. Uncircumcised men should fully dry the head of the penis after washing because the fungus thrives in humidity. Keep area dry and allow air to circulate (use boxer type underwear).

Use over the counter anti fungal creams (such as the ones they sell for athlets foot). If the fungus is resistant to topical therapies or severe/widespread involvement you will need oral anti fungals which will need to be prescribed to you.

Well hope this helps.

hey, I have red spots on my penis head. before I try anything of what you said , I want to make sure that the problem I have is the one witch you talk about.

I have a few red spots on my penis head and just to make this clear, ive never had sex so im pretty sure its not a std.... they are not bumpy. Ive had them for about 1 or two days now and I want to get rid of them before they become a real problem.
im not sure if its just irritated because of masturbation or its the fungus that you talk about...
and lets say I use that anty fungus cream, do I need a prescription ?

Is that spot spread to around? There is one ointment which can help you Hydrocortosone...apply 2 times a day morning and before bed. Keep apply for 2 or 3 weeks if it doesn't works i advise you go see GP.

Note: sometime it's take to disappear around 3 weeks when you apply. So be patient. Good Luck!!!

Probably is ganna be Angus. If u have Angus on your feet and you accidentally scratched your private part with the same hand you scratched your feet then that should be it. Go to your doctor and tell them about it. They should handle it from there.

hey I had same problem, For that I used Lactocyte gel. Generally this gel is used for female on vagina for the itching problem. But it works. Apply it on the head of penis which will form a foam then wash it with water. Atleast twice a day.
Before use this u can consult a doctor.

Holy c**p people...

If you are below the age of 18 GO TO YOUR PARENTS, and get ask for their help! They have many years of experience in this world compared to you, and they should be perfectly capable of helping you out and understanding you--unless they're terrible parents.

I'm a 19 year old college student, but I still go to my parents for medical problems because they'll know better than anyone (besides a doctor/nurse type person) on what I should I do. They'll even pay for any treatment I need. They can suggest I go see a doctor, or just go get an ointment, etc.

I just discovered this silly "red spots on head of penis" thing recently; I felt some discomfort and swelling after masturbating. I'm here because I want to learn more about it, not try and treat it myself. Don't get me wrong, trying something like 'wash area twice a day, keep dry, don't jerk off for a while, etc' is perfectly fine to do, but if it becomes a noticeable, painful problem, I am going straight to my dad for advice and probably a doctors appointment.

Please don't take serious medical advice from random people you don't know on the internet, they can cost you a lot of money, pain, and time without fixing your problem.

Stay healthy everyone.

if anything is scabbing or pussing, and/or lasting longer than a week or two, definitely doctor time ;) lmao
