Hi, I'm Emma I'm 12 years old and I seem to experience this too. All I can say is it is mainly just excess gas in your body but can also have lots of other effects, I would suggest drinking fluids such as water and juice. If you ever begin to experience eggy burps you will most likely recieve abdonimal stomach pains, lets just hope we can get rid of this awful illness as soon as possible

I started getting the rotten egg burps today, i am 18 years old train 5 days a week weightlifting and have a high protein diet. I have recently started working night shifts and not had much sleep, also ate a rather large mcdonalds, i woke today and had bad stomach cramps, i didnt train and slept for 10 hours, i woke at 2pm and was violently sick, followed by egg burps and diharrea. I was only sick once and have been on the toilet 15+ times since then. I only seem to get the egg burps when i sit upright. Its now gone 2AM and i am still having regular bowel movements every 10 minutes, i havent eaten since 6pm!

I believe it could  have come about due to be over tired and extremely steressed as at work I shouted in anger at a colleague as i had lack of sleep and had an intense lifting session and hour before work, Hopefully plenty of fluids and sleep will cure me.

DONT EAT DAIRY IT ONLY MADE IT WORSE.

Feel like death with bowel problems good night.

So I haven't had this problem in 2 years then recently on the day I'm going on holiday, luckily it didn't hit till after I got to my hotel, it usually presents with diarrhoea, stomach pains, and horrible burps and lots of gas.

Luckily I have this medication called Motilium, I picked it up abroad a few years ago, and every time I've taken it, my problems have gone away.

I wish everybody luck on getting rid of it, and if you do try Motilium please ask your doctor first, I don't want to cause more problems.

Hi i just read your thread on sulpher belches, I too have been experiencing these for the past year. I've had colonoscopys and endoscopies and nothing showed. my doctors told me it was just gases and there was nothing i could do about it ????? After a tear of looking for a cure or something to take away this embarrasing condition i read on the internet that someone tried Alkaseltzer and it worked for them. the other night when I was having a problem with the sulpher belches I tried taking two Alkaseltzer and hey presto it worked :))))) Think it may have been the bicarbonated soda in the tablets. i suddwset that you try it. hopefully it will work for you too.

I have experienced these egg burps along with the others. All I can say AVOID.....I REPEAT....AVOID BURPING in enclosed areas within the home. Even the garage. YOU WILL gross anybody out within 10 feet. The smell lingers in the air a few minutes. Your better off leaving home a few days and stay in the wilderness. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

I have had these burbs for 2 days now, and your post was the only thing that has cheered me up!!! TOO FUNNY!

I get the egg burps occasionally. It seems my problem is not enough stomach acid. The food doesn't get digested so it just sits there and rots. After the first burp, I take a couple of HCl (hydrochloric acid) capsules then wait half an hour. If I still have the egg burps, I take two more, wait half an hour, etc. I've never had to go more than three doses. HCL is the same acid that is naturally in your stomach. If I have the problem frequently then I start using HCL capsules with every meal along with papaya enzyme. This helps the food digest. Then after a week or so I try to wean off the digestive aids.

The capsules I use are Soloray HCL with Pepsin, 650mg.

Pepsin is a digestive enzyme.

I'm currently 16 and can completely sympathize with you all. I first began getting these sulfur burps a couple of years ago and they'd go away in a couple of days. Then i didnt have them for quite a number of months but unfortunately last month they came back, badly. The first day i got the burps and severely runny diarhhea. Then for the next 3 days I'd feel nauseus, with sulfur burps, diarhhea and then threw up foul-smelling and very acidic liquid. Now, a few weeks later theyre back, also along with the vomiting.

I'm really fed up of this and worried, like many of you have, that I will be stuck with this my whole life. I went to the doctors yesterday and not surprisingly he hadn't a clue. At first i thought it was maybe an intolerance to something, like protein but i can't seem to pinpoint anything. I don't know what to do to help it. I'm just stuck drinking a lot of water, and trying my best to eat foods like bananas, apples and porridge which is mostly all I can stomach.

I wish someone would do some proper scientific research into this as it seems there are so many sufferers out there. :-(

eggs dont do it. its when you feel sick and you end up drinking milk, and lots of it. you end up getting sicky burps.
