Wow I had this once already I'm 18 I was 17 at the time but I have bronchitis now and now the sharp pain is back in the same place especially when I bend down. I'm tall and thin as well could I get it my whole life on and off? Is there something I can do to prevent it from happening.

Gas is most definitely one explanation for this type of pain!

Hi, I'm in my early pregnancy weeks and for the past 2 days. I've been getting a stabbing sharp pain under my left breast, it went up to the back of my head and on my shoulder causing a serious headache. My doctor said it was a muscle but I just noticed something now.
I was lying on my left side the whole night and woke up at 2am and there a the pain. So I went to google and read DT it cud be gas. I recently changed my diet from eating junk to green salad and chicken. So I laid on my tummy and guess what???!!!!!!. ... I fatted so many times and the pain has disappeared.

The pain was soo sever I had a voltaren injection and headache injection the next day. It just kept coming back

I’ve had the same sharp pain since I was a kid. It worsens when breathing in or out deeper and finally pops. Read about pre chordial catch syndrome. It explains a lot.

I just had this pain now and I started googling about it and came to my surprise that I am not the only one. When I read your advice of taking deep breaths...I was like Hell no! No way I am gona take deep breaths if it hurts this much when doing it but I tried and the pain went away. Thank you. I was seated for 20 minutes coz every time I changed position and take in deep breaths it hurts. Thank u for teaching me something new.

Sounds like precordial catch syndrome. It is not harmful or concerning but it is definitely a scary and strange feeling. I had it from the age of 16-28. Then it just never happened again. It would come and go randomly with no rhyme or reason. It took me a while to figure out what it was and once I saw that it was not serious I was able to relax about it when it did occur. My strategy was to take quick shallow breaths while stretching my torso and then eventually try really hard to take a longer (painful) breath. Look up precordial catch syndrome. You'll be ok!
