I'm 16 and I'm having the same symptoms. It started a few hours ago and I already cannot imagine what it would be like for this to go on for even a few days. I can only lay on my side with my legs to my chest, I can only sit with my right leg extended, and I can't put any amount of weight on my leg. It feels like little gnome people are chopping at my joint with tiny axes. I'm so glad there are some suggestions on here, I'll be sure to check them out. I hope you all are coping with the pain well!
Oh, I took an ibuprofen and applied icyhot, and it feels significantly better.

I have a similar pain in my right hip as well. It started several years ago when I would drive around three hours to and from a military training base. At first the pain would only occur when I was getting in and out of my vehicle on these long trips. a few years later I would experience these pains if I were to stand for long amounts of time or walk for long distances wearing any type of leather soled shoes. Last week the pain attacked me in an excruciating fashion. It happens while I'm lying down standing sitting and especially walking. The pain seems to start in my lower right Buttock and radiates deep inside my upper right thigh straight through my knee. I have called my general practitioner to begin the process of diagnosis. I can't wait to get rid of this sharp annoying pain
I had the same thing, and have Still's disease which is a RA thing. My hips have been awfully painful for the past 2 years and I finally found an amazing doctor who actually sat down and listened to me and he found that I had a torn labrum in right hip. Labral tears are hard to diagnosed and a lot of Ortho docs do not to this reapair nor even look for it but, its worth the thought to see an ortho surgeon. Its amazing how all my hip pain was from that and went away after surgery. Good luck!!!
I have the same pain it has been around for months. It started with just horrible leg cramps that when they hit would keep me up all night walking the floors trying to relieve the pain. But for the last 2 weeks the pain is so bad if I lay downto sleep I csn't even get back up the pain is so severe. It takes everything I have to move. I don't know what is causing all of this. Does anyone?
Look up sciatic nerve paon

I am on contraceptive and skipped my last period, and tonight I started getting spotting and the pain stopped.
Could it be something to do with your period?
Good luck :)
A few years ago I had this problem, Which seems to have just returned. The thing about the first one was that as I began to favour the other side that hip became painful.. I was given a lcal anaesthetic in both hips and the a huge needle was struck in and some fluid drained out. That seemed to work.
Hi im 25 the past 3 days ive been having what seems a sharp pain in my right hip,i have said to my partner i wonder if its a sign of my appendix or sumat ready to burst, feels funny,i kinda seem like it hurts to breath,it started while i was sitting.felt like a stitch so didnt think anything of it,my partner thinks its nothing but im worried and i dont think doctors will help.
I'm 19 years old and have pains along my hip (I suppose it counts as my hip), on the outside of each leg, superior to my knee. It doesn't feel debilitating or like a nerve is pinched, instead it's more like pressure. I feel like the bone is almost being crushed. It happens mostly when I'm sleeping (I sleep on my side) and usually wakes me up. It lasts for a very long time when I roll to my back, not fading for a while. My mother says it's from lack of exercise, but I walk a health amount, and a friend says it's growing pains since it's been happening since I was 16/17. No health insurance Tsongas I can't go to a doctor. Idk what to do.
I'm going through the exact same pain, but in my left hip. I'm 17 turning 18 and it's happening at work and school and causes me to keel over in pain. Is it bad enough that I should see a doctor or a clinic??
