Pubic pimples can appear on anyone, regardless of your personal hygiene habits. They most often happen during periods of change in the body including puberty, pregnancy, and menopause. Some people develop pubic pimples from wearing underwear that is too tight, causing friction in the pubic area. They can be the result of excessive sweating during extremely hot weather or sports. Allergic reactions to soaps and lotions are common. Using a dull razor to shave can also result in pubic pimples.( Never use a razor more than once, as bacteria and body oils can be on it. Upon using it again, you will spread that bacteria and oil to other areas of the body).
Most pubic pimples will disappear within three or four days on their own. To relieve the itching and irritation, apply cortisone cream or other anti-inflammatory cream to the area several times a day. Clean the area with medical soap, then apply rubbing alcohol to the pimples. Avoid the temptation to squeeze the pus out of the pimples as this can lead to an infection. If a pubic pimple oozes, clean the area thoroughly to prevent it from coming into contact with other parts of your body.
Occasionally, pubic pimps are a sign of a sexually transmitted disease. If they do not disappear within three or four days, you might be looking at some sort of disease or infection. Those that are the result of an STD will not go away without medical treatment. Pubic pimples also could be a symptom of genital herpes, a yeast infection, and syphilis. It is possible to get a STD that causes pubic pimples from oral sex. If you develop pubic pimples after having unprotected sex, see a doctor immediately so that the proper testing can be done.
So there's a few kinds of pimps out there, and it is always better to know for sure what kind you are dealing with, so like someone said before- better safe than sorry, go and get it checked out if you are not sure..

The post above about it being Ingrown Hairs is correct...The pores with the hair folicules(not spelt right %-) ) are basically in general terms, "Pissed" off and then repair the damaged area...thus forming a pimple...also if youve had sex right after your shaved, within a day or so, you sometimes form painful pimples also...signs of an STD usually take around 4-7 days to appear...if worse comes to worse go see your doctor....but give it a few days
i have the same problemm. i dont wanna get sick from them but now it hurts wen things touch it am i okay. plz help
oh yea if you saw a doctor why dont you inform us as to what the doctor said so that those of us short on time and money to see a doctor can go if serious or utilize whatever remedy was sugested to you
you people are overreacting . it is not a std. its exactly what the person said, its ingrown hairs and/or razor bumps. just keep it clean and dry down there, i wouldnt recommend putting any over the counter things downthere just yet, well, you can try one & if that doesnt work wait for your gyno to prescribe you with something as mine did. . you dont have an STD, or anything like that, i mean if you think you do go get checked out. its probably just vaginal acne. dont let people scare you.
It's because the razor irritates the skin, just leave it and it will be fine. Don't use a razor on pubes, try using a trimmer so that you will not irritate the skin
I've had the same thing happen to me. They could be an assortment of things: Ingrown hairs, Genital Pimples, etc.
I've notticed these annoying bumps after I shave. I've figured its because I knicked my skin while shaving, or shaved the hair against the grain.
Do not try and squeeze them, it will only irritate it and it will become harder, as some do not pop like a zit or pimple.
Wash it, and it should go away. If not, yes, go to a doctor and find out what it is and why it is there.
I am not a doctor, just giving some experienced advice. I hope you've found this helpful.

hi names ryan im 18 and i shaved about 5 days ago and i think i may have an ingrown hair. at first i thought it was herpes... i nearly cried and sh*t myself! i started reading these posts and it started to seem more and more evident that it is an ingrown hair. i do have a couple other tiny red spots from shaving around the groin area above my penis but those dont look bad. its this one on the bottom of my penis that scared me. its not BIG but its bigger than the other bumps. i've only had sex with about 4 girls and saw nothing like this after having sex with any of them. im just really F***ing sketched out and paranoid ive even started praying more often since they developed. plz tell me some good news :-(
Tips to help; that is, if you receive pimples after shaving.

REEEEEALLY? Then what is it?
They are called absces. I went to my doctor when i had them. Mine was hurting so bad , i couldnt walk without pain. The doctor will pop it and give you antibiotics. I had them when i was younger as well.
I just shaved last night and found these little white pimples where the hair was. How do I get rid of them?
Yes, I have the exact same problem as the above post. I haven't had sex so it's not sexually transmitted. I don't know what to do though. I might have sex soon and I'm scared to shave. I don't want to have pimples. Gross.
It is most likely ingrown hairs.
I shave, and usually i only get ingrowns.
But lately after shaving my ingrowns are turning into pimples. Having yellow puss and blood coming out of them.
But you can tell they are ingrowns because in the head of the pimple should be a dark line. If u get a sterilized needle you can just get them out.
But its always good to get it checked out at the doctor cause they might have something to help it =)

heya, kay if u can see like something little and black inside the pimple, its and ingrown hair, just means it didnt grow out straight and got caught under the skin. if it looks like that then its nothing to be worried about. u get pimples cuz the razor doesnt cut all the hair out and some dont grow out straight and get caught under the skin while wen u wax it pulls the hair out so a new one can grow. so i would offer waxing as a way to stop the pimples. but dont be embarressed or feel like ur the only one who gets this. many ppl do (mainly girls, but guys can also get it to) its nothing unusual really (:
