I too suffer from sinus post nasal drip, dark circles. The phlegm gets so bad at times I throw up. This is the worst its been. I took antibiotics about a month ago, didn't help but made it worse. I use a netti pot, flonase makes my nose bleed, I am in the middle of a coughing fit and blowing my nose for 30 minuts, looked in the mirror and the circles are so dark its horrible! I've had tests, xrays, ent, he did the microscope up my nose, and was told "I have healthy sinuses" HOW? I mean I'm happy to hear that, but I feel like c**p. I'm always tired, head aches, etc. People tell me maybe I need to be on a gluten free diet, which is easier said than done, money wise anyway. I've given up diet coke, drink a lot of water, eat fruit and veggies. Nothing seems to help and I feel so helpless and miserable I don't know what else to do.

yeah hey, them sinuses can cause the eye to swell but only when certain sinuses are swollen. You can also have eye swelling when the paranasal sinuses which i believe are located near the tear gland become swollen or when mucus is trapped..

neddy pot.. clean it out. and no more dairy or soy.. it's mucas forming and attracts bacteria.. giving up gluten wouldn't hurt either..

It is also important to know that Neti pots can be damaging when they are not taken care off. So after using them they should be washed and dried otherwise germs fill the wet surfaces. Generally these are great for mucus problems!!

Get off the wheat and gluten. You can do it. Try Kings Mountain mixes. It's not that expensive compared to the pain and torment you have to go through. Read Wheat Belly. Get off the wheat. Eat rice based cereals. You probably have a gluten sensitivity and the wheat is tearing your intestines up, making them more Porous. Plus wheat can cross the blood brain barrier causing things like depression. Get off the wheat. Be Well!

I am having trouble with my right eye swelling, and the right side of my nose is clogged, my eye doctor is treating me for dry eye, my family doctor thinks the problem is a bacteria and I have been using a topical medication for that, I have been to emerg dept and the doctor there gave me nasal spray for my nose to decrease the inflammation, I rinse with a salt mixture, but nothing seems to be helping, nobody seems to know what the proplem is? this has been going on now for 2 months, I never know when I will wake up with a swollen eye, seems to be about every 4 days, did you ever resolve your problem?

Seeing all of these posts reminds me of the suffering I have had.  For the longest of times I thought it was allergies, or chronic sinusiits.  I suffer from migraines, very poor sleep, nasal obstruction.  However, the worst of the symptoms is fatigue.  It is never a good feeling to wake up feeling just as tired when you just went to sleep.  Finally, I went to the ENT and was told I have a deviated septum.  The deviated septum presses into the side of my nose, and therefore causes shooting pains up behind my eye, in my temples, and in my forehead.  I am scheduled for a septoplasty in a few weeks, and cannot wait to get this done.  Sometimes, what is mistaken for sinus issues is actually migraine headaches which accompany a deviated septum.  These are also known as "nasal headaches".  I hope this post helps any of you suffering from similar symptoms.  I know the pain and annoyance that these symptoms are!

I wrote below, but I thought this would help also. You most likely have a deviated septum, which is pushing onto the right side of your nose and is therefore giving you swollen eyes and nasal obstruction. Rinsing with a salt mixture never seemed to help me either! Good luck!

It's been interesting to read all your posts.  Until now I've been unable to find anything helpful online.  My symptoms are feeling exhausted ALL the time.  Waves of tiredness come over me suddenly and my body feels like it's crying out to lie down ... but not possible when you're at work!  I can't remember the last time I felt really well.  The days when it is at it's worst I can definitely feel something going on with my sinuses BUT they do not fee congested but the opposite.  My nostrils feel so clear that when I breathe in the air feels cold and feels as though it 'wooshes' through my nostrils and hits the back of my throat.  This is so confusing as when I read about sinusitus it always talks about being congested.  Perhaps the congestion is way deep inside?  I do get slight puffiness under my eyes too.  The doctors also thought I had ME at one point and are now saying it's probably viral and some sort of chronic fatigue thing.  It's really getting me down and I feel so anti-social when I don't stay out late with friends, or don't go out at all!  I feel I could sleep forever!  Has anyone had the cold air, empty feeling passages like this?

im so glad i found this page. i don't feel so alone anymore :). I thought it was just me going through this ......

I too have sinus issues. I have had it for the past few years. sudafed used to work but not anymore. whenever i had a sinus headache i wud just take a pack of sudafed and it wud be gone. but not anymore!!

so since 8 months ago i woke up one morning with yet again popping in my nose and it hasnt gone since then my symptoms are as follows : sinus headache (between the eyes) throbbing feeling and can actually feel the strong throbs with my fingers when i place it between my eyes, pain in the temple, dizziness and pressure in nose when i stand up, noises in my ear (congestion) , ear popping , also finding it hard to get my sneezes come out. (sometimes i cannot sneeze at all even tho it seems to come it just goes). popping/cracking noises coming from the top of nose and my eyes feel tierd all the time. i have been to the gp and he gave me belconosome that didnt work at all and now im flonase and a allergy tablet which is doing nothing!!!! hopefully im going to be referred to a ent AND INVESTIGATE IT FURTHER.......

does anyone else have the popping noise in the nose and these weird whoosing noises in the ear? its driving me mad :( x

I have the same problem for 5 yrs and i feel like killing myself just to relive the pain and pressure in my eyes and head. It feels like my head is full of water of snot cloged up and think to myself if i could pop the pressure in my head it would all go away. It does not work like that. And as for teling the doctors about the problem they are all useless with no clue as to how it feels having the problem the only way to make people listen and get there full attention to what u are going through is to freatin to take ur own life thats what i think?
