To all on here all I can say is I feel your pain!!! I have had eczema for about 15yrs now. Mine started as a bartender from hands being wet all of the time and handling the citrus fruits. I will tell you all what I have learned over the years. I saw several doctors before one could actually explain this condition to me and diagnose me properly. There are so many causes for different people. As I mentioned before mine is handling(not consuming) fruits. I sliced a cantaloupe the other night and am now sitting here covered in water blisters that itch something awful and I wait for the peeling stage to start in a few days once they are dried out. It is a miserable thing to endure. I do HIGHLY recommend a steroid cream. It is the generic of Kenalog cream. I have used the brand Kenalog and not gotten the same results. The generic is Triamcinalone and is the best thing that has ever happened to me(other than my precious daughter;-) It shortens the outbreak time from 3-4 weeks to about a week to a week and a half. I PRAY that my poor little 3 1/2 yr old daughter does not end up with this condition as it is supposed to be easily passed genetically. As for the pregnant woman, good luck. I know that I was not allowed to use the steroid cream while I was pregnant. Hope this is helpful

I've found my own answer on Mayo Clinic's website under the name: dyshidrosis

Thank you to the person who posted a link to a support group. See you there :(

I found out that in Europe they call them Whitlows. Look that up.. Makes me more afraid.. But makes some sense. I use witchhazel on them and they go away quick and with much relief. Look at the uses of witchhazel. What a nice natural way to handle things. FDA would never tell you this though..they enjoy medications and the payment people pay for them meds. don't they? -Enjoy- :-)

After reading these posts i´m a lot calmer, this is the first time i ever had the blisters, although i´ve had the itchy effect many times before, but never on my feet... and the part that scared me was it started after having sex, but it was in a dog grooming salon, so i´m hoping its the same as Susans case of the dog shampoo. After reading these i´m also turned off to seeing doctors, what do you guys think?

Hi. After these blisters coming and going over the years I think that I have an answer. I have noticed that every time I use an antibacterial soap I get blisters within 1 week of use. My hands get to a stage where I can hardly open and close them and they are real ugly. I have gone onto Johnsons baby soap and they dried up and disappeared after 4 days. When I think back, every time I have gone to baby soap my hands and feet come right.

When I was about 21, married for a short time, I got these bumps, also. Given many diagnoses, had contact dermatitis as a child, along with many allergies. Knew this was different. I had used gloves when washing anything. I think a couple of diff. causes are being discussed here. Some are contact dermatitis, as in chemicals, etc. But, mine was diagnosed as dis-hydrosis many years after I had it. This kind doctor gave me prednisone for the first time. It was the first time in 17 years I had been able to open my left hand completely. I had numerous infections, almost reaching to the bones in my hand. My hands were raw and bleeding all the time. The only time it stopped was when I was pregnant, and then, coming back about 3 hours after delivery. A couple of doctors said that it would quit about the time of menopause. Well, they were right. It was truly one of the worst ailments I have ever had. I used a cortisone ointment topically by the gallon. My heart aches for any woman who has to deal with this. Stress made it worse, I guess.....never could tell which was more stressful...the condition, or the family......
I remember the first time I was told (I was about 22) it would probably disappear around menopause and I smiled at the Dr. He said....Ummm...maybe you didn't hear me correctly, and repeated the prognosis. I said, No, I heard you, I am smiling because I truly thought this thing was going to stick with me till the grave.

I've had blisters on the palms, fingers, back (top) of the hands, wrists, toes, heels and top of the foot. So far, I don't see any blisters on the soles of my feet. I thought it was dyshidrosis but my dermatologist told me (only had the consultation today) that it wasn't since I have blisters on the top of my hand and none on the soles of my feet.

First time (I'm 30 yrs old) I've experienced anything like this and it's really annoying. Doc prescribed betamethasone lotion (corticosteroid), prednisone tablets (20mg) and claricort tablets. Plus, have to use a soap-free wash for hair and body. No soaps, moisturizers, lotions, colognes, body or deo spray.

Has anyone had similar symptoms? I've never been allergic to anything but went swimming at a hotel's pool on New Year's Day. My doc thinks I might have gotten it from the chlorine.

Do you have small deep water filled blisters on your hand or feet? I have this and have concluded it to be stress related. The best cream used is Quadriderm. Use once or twice when redness starts and this prevents outbreak. It seems there is no permanent cure.

I get these blisters on both my hands and feet when I spend too much time in the pool or have been cleaning with chlorine or using antibacterial soaps. I have found that vinegar fixes the problem fast. I put apple cider vinegar on a cotton ball and wet the affected area at night and in the morning. The soreness and itching go away and the healing is quick. Plus, this is really inexpensive!

Vinegar also works on nail fungus, and amazingly on warts. To get rid of warts, I leave a small piece of soaked cotton ball on the wart overnight (held down with a band-aid or duct tape - depending on the size of the wart) every night for two weeks. The wart gets really big as it soaks up the vinegar, but it kills it and it shrinks leaving no scars.

two different doctors told me it's some kind of soap allergy.
This is what I did:

use only babys shampoo and soap
children conditionar (i have long hair)
dishes and cleaning only with vinyl gloves (lutex is bad for that prob)

now it's much better, palms are still sensitive - but no blisters!! :-)

hope you all well

Hi I could say this for anybody who might find it helpful at some point or another ... scabies also give you blisters on your hands and feet cause thats where they burrow in under your skin they are mites and the itchyness is the reaction the skin has to the mites and the blisters are the size of a pin they sort of look like blisters sorta clear lookin and if you do have scabies dont be embarressed its contracted from skin to skin contact with a person and its pretty much like catching head lice it isnt dirty just sh*t happens huh? good luck to the people trying to find answers hope this helped 8-| ;-) 8)

I have recently develop these blisters on my fingers along other rashes on my skin. I personally think it's stress related and maybe some type of allergic reaction since it happened after I ate a lot of different types of seafood. I have a big test coming up plus it's tax season so the stress level could be high.

However, I have found this article that could contain info that may help explain a more permanent reason: http://dermatology.about.com/od/glossaryi/g/id_reaction.htm

Personally, I have had outbreaks of tinea versicolor, a type of fungal infection that the article mentions as being one of the root causes.

Hope this helps someone.

My daughter has, in the last 2 days, developed some kind of blistering between her fingers. The wrinkily bit in the middle sinks in and the bottom parts of her fourth fingers have swollen, she scratches and little black pouress things appear. Then blisters, followed by what looks like burst blisters. theres no explanation for this ( ie from changing soap products) the only one thing i have noticed is a wart like thing on her hand.....Is this a problem, has she caught something from another child maybe from school? Does anyone know what it could be...apart from soesort of dermatologically thing what is this? Could it be connected to moths as have recently been having trouble with those little craters. Does anyone have any idea?

I also get these tiny blisters on my hands, fingers, toes, and feet. They are itchy and the skin begins to peel. No one seems to be able to tell me what they are but I notice I get them when the weather changes. I do have eczema but it doesn't look like that and I do have severe allergies but I am on two allergy medicines. I also have another skin condition in which I break out in a rash whenever something prickles my skin (plants, beard, whatever). I looked up hand foot mouth disease and this does not fit the description. I wish someone could correctly identify what this is.
