This is so discouraging. Im 36 and ive had this problem for over 10 years. In my early 20s I used to be able to have sex 4-5 times a day but now if i ejaculate i pray that i dont get an erection for the next 8 hours because my penis is so sore. Ive been to a handful of urologist here in LA and none of them have any clue what it is. All they can tell me is to take an advil before having sex again. Its to the point where i will avoid having sex because there is so much discomfort afterwards. I remember going online years ago to research this and couldnt find anything. Now im seeing more and more forums with guys of all ages that have the same problem but still no solution. How is this possible that so many men have this problem but every urologist still says they have never heard of it?

Finally. I have had this problem for about 2 years now it started since I came to college. I am sti free so I was always curious and this is the only thread I have really ever seen that has relevant info. hearing about other people with the same problem makes me worry less about it.

Seems like a lot of people were helped by the toothpaste method. Thats awesome and seems pretty easy to do. Doesn't work for me though. Two things help me. If I stand up afer ejaculation and walk around etc. i'm done for. But if I sit for a while after ejaculation the soreness never comes.

But the one thing that really helps is for me to relax my muscles during masturbation (much more difficult during intercourse). Try masturbating like you normally do and then pay attention to the muscles in your buttocks, legs, abdomens, penis and everywhere else in that area. If you find that you're very tense then relaxation may help. I get so tense during masturbation and even moreso during sex that it can be very painful afterwards. Especially if I am tensing as a means to maintain erection. But if I concentrate on relaxation during masturbation from begining to the very end then I sometimes get no pain at all. Much more difficult to relax during sex. Especially since I don't do well being on the bottom.

For me its a whole Pelvic Floor thing. Look into it.

Good luck

I also have this issue and have since I was a teen I'm 26 now I saw someone stated earlier their penis curved downward and so does mine, I'm wondering if shape/ curvature has something to do with it, how many of you guys have a curve and in which way do you curve?

I know this has been inactive for awhile but I would like to post on it. I habe had the same problem since I irst started puberty till present day. After ejaculation, erection or soft, my penis is very sore on the bottom side from the base to almost the glands. I am 19, you can consider that young but I have had a lot of experience with issues. It could be possible that being curcumsized could be the problem, and not having enough skin. I advise anyone to do research on the foreskin along with the benifits of having it. I am confident that is the problem. You do have options. I recomend after looking up foreskin info, to then look up restoration. A good website is norm.org. There are ways you can ''restore'' foreskin. BUT, there is a group looking to REGENERATE foreskin. Foregen.org. it is truely amazing and they have already came a long way. I am trying to spread the work and get people to become aware of what was done to them and how they can change it, and to prevent curcumsion in the future. Awarness is the first step

Stating my theory about being curcumsized is the problem. we do not have enough skin to accomodate the penis, so the organ then has a curve or bends which causes the pressure or tightness of the penis, especialy when erect. thats my theory but i am confident that regardless being curcumsized has something to do with the pain..

how does anyone else feel about this? is it possible

I am not circumsized and I also have had this problem for many year. I am 32 this year. I also have a curved penis. Exactly the same thing happens that everyone else has mentioned but wasn't always the case. I did masterbate a lot when I was younger up to 8 times in a day was my record. Perhaps this was my down fall?

I have this problem as well. I am a 21 year-old male, and just went to a urologist concerning some pain in my testicle that I've been having as well. It turns out that I have either a varicocele or a spermatocele (not sure which yet) but the doctor says that might be related to the hours of soreness after ejaculation. The testicular pain is mild, but this pain would certainly prevent me from ejaculating more than once a day. This "toothpaste" method seems interesting though, and I'll certainly give it a try. It's a little discouraging to search for this problem online and see almost nothing about it.

It's me again--the above poster. I've tried the technique suggested in this thread twice so far. The first time there was no soreness afterwards; the second there was just a little. I'm going to guess that this isn't related to my testicular difficulties and just keep using this solution until something conclusive shows up.

I have the same problem.I know people may be sick of hearing people with the same problem but I am just posting this simply to keep this thread alive. It is themonly one with people having the same problem as me and we need to make people more aware of it.It baffles me that no doctors or experts have no idea about it.If anyone out there has any idea or suggestions please post here!

By the way I am NOT circumcised and still have the problem.Sometimes however the pain relives after I pee.It doesnt go completely, but when I get an erection after peeing it relieves the pain considerably, enough to where you can go again.Just a work around but not solution. However could it be something to do with your urine?

Please keep this thread alive and thanks to everyone who has posted so far,it feels good to not be the only one with this problem.

Not sure if anyone still reads this thread. But does anyone have anxiety issues? Panic disorder? Things of that nature ?

Hey guys, I see this is old but still feel I should post. I'm 24 with the same problem. STI/STD free as I checked last week.

I've found that urinating immediately after ejaculation will save me from any soreness or discomfort. This leads me to believe that it has something to do with a bacteria or some contaminant in the ejaculate that gets caught inside and irritates. I'm no doctor but it makes some sense. Haven't gone to see a doctor yet but definiately plan to.

It works for me, but it's pretty inconvenient and I don't want to have to do this for the rest of my life. I wanted to see if this helped any others before I see a doctor so I can give him more info on whats going on.
