Due to Hep-C and poor ciculation I suffered for 2 years with sores on lower legs. I even had 4 leg infections, one very serious. Saw doctors and demotologist. Got prescription that worked for a while but long term use was not recommended as it would damage the skin. So I tried every thing over the counter and read a thousand posts and articles. Here's what works for me. Taking every precaution, I make sure my diet is healthy. Next I  installed a shower water filter by Aqusauna, but I guess any quality filter will do. I wash my legs and body with natural soap I buy online from Chagrin Valley. Their "Seabuckthorn&Tea Tree" "Goat Milk Oatmeal" and "Dead Sea Spa" work for me. After I wash and dry I apply "Cortizone-10", bought over the counter, to the sores. I only use a small amount and only if needed. Next I apply "Skin Gel", an aloe product by "Aloe Life." Comes in an 8oz plastic bottle and sold online or in health stores.  Last I apply "Eucerin" another over the counter product. This is necessary for moisture. Lastly because of poor circulation I wear support hose. Perhaps if you have poor ciculation, the hose will be all you need. I wear "Futuro" 8-15mm/Hg They are less expensive and durable. Well this works for me. Best to ya!

I've tried many variations of creams and whatnot over the past 2 years. Right now I'm doing the best. Use a light topping of Cortizone-10 at bedtime only if needed for itch. When I wake I put on 08-15mmHg compression pantyhose. Yea you heard me right. They increase blood circulation. And they work. A good moisturizer is "Skin Gel" by Aloe Life. Do not use a moisturizer with the Cortizone-10. If I need to moisturize, I take off the hose and apply Skin Gel or Eucerin a few hours before going to sleep. I wash it off before applying the Cortizone-10. Too much moisturizer will do more harm than good. Your legs need to breath. I also take 500 mg Vitamin C and 1000 mg fish oil daily. Stay away from soda pop. Vegetables of course are great for the skin. My immune system has been compromised because of Hep-C, that's why I have this problem. The hose have helped the most. Do not use the Cortizone-10 any more than you have to. If your legs are supper dry, perhaps the hose will irritate them so you'll have to wear the hose less and moisturize more. You'll have to work out a plan that works for you and be open to change it. Hope something I said helps. I've gone through many restless nights. Back when my legs were worse I wore knee high compression hose to sleep sometimes. I wish you the best.

I have to add to above post. At times when my legs really itch I apply a light coat of "Skin Gel" then I put on a heavy layer, like snow, of Eucerin. I'll do this until itch is gone. Once again do what works for you.

Use psoriasin. It was a miracle to find this in the drug store and it works to stop itch and clears up the skin.

I must edit the posts above: 02-12, 02-14. I have been in the hospital for 3 days now being treated for infections in both legs due to complications of restricted blood flow due to Hep-C. My self treatment was all wrong, doing more harm than good. So my advice now is to find out what is causing the problem and go from there.

If this is a fungus on your legs, sit in the tub and rub Head & Shoulders shampoo on them and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Rinse well. Then apply coconut oil to them. I did this and the bumps took a while to go away but the itching stopped
